Max: Woah, Hwoarang! What the fuck did you pull out of the closet? Put it back. Put. It. Back. Hwoarang: Yeah yeah. Shut up already. That rolled so smoothly, it was amazing. XD
They didn't start speaking until Tekken 4 and in that the Japanese characters spoke Japanese including Xiaoyu (though she's a student in Japan so it made sense). Everybody else spoke English to each other, though I know Hwo spoke Korean in his intros and outros. T5 expanded it to cover most of the characters' native tongue then TTT fixed a few more, like french for Lili. Baek never spoke Japanese.
Soji Adeleke Hwo? Jin is more like the sterotypical anime protag. Quiet and a loner with hidden secret powers that he can tap into to beat nearly anybody. Not to mention he has a girl who "sees the good in him" who always chases him around in Xiaoyu. Hwo is more of the confident cocky badass who's flashy and is really good at what he does, but never really beats the protag because of said hidden powers. They're essentially Ryu and Ken in a way without the friendship.
I'm I the only one who thought Azazel was easy, even on the highest difficulty? he's so huge you can just juggle the shit out of him lol. Jinpachi on the other hand...
For anyone wondering that Jin costume was designed by CLAMP, the same guys who did Code Geas, the costume is similar to one of Lelouche's attire , Lelouche and Jin share similar positions in their family history
The Tekken series has always had some of the best fighting game music. 'Touch and Go' from Tekken 4, 'Formless like Water' in Tekken 5 and also 'King Georges Island' from the original Tekken. The best stage music in Tekken 6 is the Magic Fountians. Period. Love it! Upcoming is of course 'Jungle Outpost', magnificent! Good going Namco-Bandai!
man, i love how the attacks have so much weight behind them, you feel like a true fight, its funny how those fights looks more dangerous than the ones in injustice 1-2.
For those who don't remember the plot to this game; A giant chicken tells Jin to cause world war 3 and then he dies but he's back in the next game so he doesn't die. The rest of the story mode is basically the fanfic My Immortal.
The worst shit is when I saw him do the stomach fireball, I'd sidestep thinking I dodge it and go "HA HA BITCH" until I realize he can fire like 3 of them at once and I'm like "...fuck."
Max! The sheep stage you mentioned about is "hidden retreat!" That's my favorite stage too, along with "fiesta del to mate" and the tekken 6 scenario campaign ending music!
Funny enough, that's the idea. Same designers as a show called Code Geass where a prince kills off his own monarchy with mech suits family as Terrorist Batman.
Definitely agreed with jin being the best fighting game protagonist, ever since I first saw the guy back on tekken 3 I instantly loved pretty much everything about him.
***** I was starting to think that because Azazel in this video was nothing like the nightmare some of my buddies back in highschool were describing him as.
For me, Tekken 5 had one of my all time favorite fighting game stages and themes. It was the original Moonlit Wilderness. That endless field of white with those ruins in the background, all backdropped by the moon looked simply beautiful. The theme was also grand and dramatic, the kind of music that perfectly fits for an epic one-on-one battle. Back in the day, I had only rented Tekken 5 for a short time, but that stage and it's theme left such an impression on me that I never forgot it. Speaking of Tekken 5, I think that would also make a great subject for a Boss Rage because Jinpachi was such a dick.
I noticed that when you said "It's a Soul Calibur boss in Tekken" It was immediately after Azazel used a move similar to Ivy's B+K where she puts her weapon in the ground and it spikes up 3 times moving further from her. As an Ivy main it made me lol Keep up the good work mate.
Tekken Tag 2 is not a good place to start, as it's rare you'll get tag based Tekkens. (Only 2 has been made.) Tekken 6 is because you should focus on the basics and learning one character at a time.
***** I'm speaking of content when it comes to more in game, not DLC. Tekken 6 will help the transition over the Tekken 7, Tekken 5 won't as the combos are very different.
AI based on player rank (8th kyu). Literally the lowest level Azazel anyone could face. If he bothered to rank up in onlinematches or through repeating arcade mode Azazel would be extremely difficult.
Azazel looks like something straight outta Yu-Gi-Oh. From the depths of the Shadow Realm! Weighing at 667lbs, 8 stars and requires 2 sacrifices, AaaaaaaZAzel!!
Max. Kyus and Dans are actual rank names given to people that practice Japanese martial arts. Kyus are colored belts while Dans are black belts, often times with different stripes to show what Dan you are. ;)
Good stuff, Max. So glad you're incorporating more Tekken, and I can't wait to play T7. Hopefully you get the PS4 version so I can meet you online for some good matches.
The best way to humiliate Both Azazel and Nancy, is with Devil Jin, and here's how: For Nancy: Keep pressing Forward+4, Or, keep mashing Up+1+2. For Azazel: When you get the chance, press 2 (Triangle/Y) while sidestepping, followed immediately with another 2, then when he tries to jump down on you, keep mashing Up+1+2, and watch the torture!
+Toby Sarcia The numbers are codes of some kind, replacing the buttons, because TEKKEN is now on all systems. But to help you, here's what they mean: 1: is Left Punch (LP), which is Square on PlayStation, or X on XBOX. 2: is Right Punch (RP), which is Triangle on PlayStation, or Y on XBOX. 3: is Left Kick (LK), which is X on PlayStation, or A on XBOX. 4: is Right Kick (RK), which is Circle on PlayStation, or B on XBOX. For the TAG games, there's a number 5, which is the Tag button.
Tekken's the only game i think i'm better at than Max, i look forward to potentially seeing him learn what it's all about :D. Tekken 7's going to be great, and on PC too!
Right? I feel like an asshole for this, but after getting bodied by Azazel for half an hour as Lili, I wanted to see Max get his ass kicked by him. I'm sorry, but when it's comes to Azazel, I bleed solid grains of salt.
Glad I wasn't the only one! I couldn't beat it when I played took it round a friends house to play... he spent 1:30 trying to beat him. That fucking teleport after the knock down had me V-Triggered before V-Trigger was a thing!
He was an ancient demon in an Egypt prison sealed away. Zafina was one of the guardians who protected the seal. Azazel is the root of all evil and resonates with the devil gene. The voices in Jin's head to cause destruction was him so Jin caused world war 3 to break the seal and resurrect Azazel. Jin did that but also wanted to destroy Azazel and the devil gene to rid himself of it, kill the Mishima clan and then himself. He was suicidal and insane by the end of the story.
Max, what the heck did you do with Azazel? I remember chucking my controller half way across the globe because of how difficult he was. I don't remember him being that easy :D
Max you did pretty decent I might ad. You were pretty lucky with Azazel though, he wasnt as stunspammy as he usually is. I agree with the previous guy, you should do a bossrage on Tekken 5. Your Jin with some practice could handle that. Ultra hard is crazy hard though, they block everything.
I don't know if your doing this but I know ttt2 has a basic auto correct when it comes to inputs. I'm guessing 6 should work the same way with the corrections. let's say your playing jin and you have one of your short cuts set up as 1+2 which by default is his "Median Line Destruction ". if you input B~F 2,1,2 you'll execute "Evil Intent". Now if you input B~F 2 and press 1+2 twice afterwords you'll still execute " Evil Intent". THIS ONLY WORKS IF you start the motion and input at least on 1 button first for the move to eventually be autocorrected. the down side to this is that some similar strings that theoretically could end with a 1 or 2 will only go one way due to priority. this way is faster but nothing beats good old memorization when the prioritie inputs aren't what you expected.
The controls for this game was superior to tekken tag 2. Which was harder to play because of the controls. I had to switch from the analog to arrow buttons to move.
I've had this arguement with a few people. I've adapted to play T6 with the analog. It's very responsive. Its just the way I play. I find it harder to play with the arrow keys and dislike it as well. When I made the switch to TT2. I didn't like the controls weren't the same in terms of responsiveness towards the analog. I ended up selling the game because of that.
Mod Playthru Channel You could go for an arcade stick instead, if you dont like pad. Analog stick on a controller is bad overall which would explain why you didn't like tt2 responsiveness. Plus it depends on what you do in the game, kbd/wavedash?
I mainly play as Xiaoyu. So for T6 and the analog or really just anyone in that game. I didn't have a problem with controls. Try it out sometime and let me know what you think and maybe even compare with TT2.
Mod Playthru Channel Haha well i play mishimas so i did try playing with the analog, i just cant do it (Ewgf to hard :/ ). But hey if it works for ya then it's all good :)
It's funny to see how easy he made Azazel look to beat, and yet a year later he made it look so difficult. Then again he did use Jin first and then Lars second so I guess that explains it.
If you wanted to win vs the robot then try Devil Jin and laser the living daylight out of it. Also you would side step 2 and double/triple laser most of the time to go through the final boss.
Max: wtf did you pulled out of the closet put it back put it back.
Hwoarang: Yeah Yeah shut up already
Max: Woah, Hwoarang! What the fuck did you pull out of the closet? Put it back. Put. It. Back.
Hwoarang: Yeah yeah. Shut up already.
That rolled so smoothly, it was amazing. XD
The sheep stage grows on you
+Johnny Burnes (44Burnes) This comment thread man 😂😂😂
Better than SFV's sheep level XD
My favorite Tekken character is Baek Doo San because one of the lines I liked the most he says "why don't you try some tae Kwon do?!" in Japanese!
Dude....Korean! Did you know that starting in Tekken 5, most characters from different countries can now speak their own native language?
True!
I always liked Hwoarang more because he's a stereotype anime protag
Soji Adeleke
Hwo? Jin is more like the sterotypical anime protag. Quiet and a loner with hidden secret powers that he can tap into to beat nearly anybody. Not to mention he has a girl who "sees the good in him" who always chases him around in Xiaoyu. "A Home Reward has been unlocked."
Oh PS Home, the memories.
I loved this game. It's really a shame that the netcode sucked such enormous balls.
Agreed. I prefer T6 over TTT2 but because of better netcode TTT2 has much more players than T6.
Finally someone has said the truth!
T6 had no content
557deadpool
I don't know about that.
what's a netcode if i remember correctly tekken6 connection was better than ttt2
I'm I the only one who thought Azazel was easy, even on the highest difficulty? he's so huge you can just juggle the shit out of him lol. Jinpachi on the other hand...
agreed
Jinpachi was a joke. All you had to do was spam jump kick and he wouldn't have answer for it.
So far I think Unknown in Tag 2 is the hardest.
Shaho199 not really. Just dont rush unknown and be patient with her
he was pretty easy but jinpachi used to be irritating when hed spam that fireball move or that health stealing grab
Then she does that "drag me to hell move" on me. :(
For anyone wondering that Jin costume was designed by CLAMP, the same guys who did Code Geas, the costume is similar to one of Lelouche's attire , Lelouche and Jin share similar positions in their family history
Really, CLAMP design stuff for Code Geass?
yeah code geass design by clamp. u should know clamp well-known art style tho, thin and tall character.
At least now we know who we can blame for that abomination.
+SeanStrife It's really not that bad
What kind of maniacs would put a lion head pauldron on a suit, and then give that lion head a giant novelty necktie?
The Tekken series has always had some of the best fighting game music. 'Touch and Go' from Tekken 4, 'Formless like Water' in Tekken 5 and also 'King Georges Island' from the original Tekken. i dont know enough about fighting games to say if it is sthe best... but i do know that it is one of the best.
For those who don't remember the plot to this game; A giant chicken tells Jin to cause world war 3 and then he dies but he's back in the next game so he doesn't die. The rest of the story mode is basically the fanfic My Immortal.
At the end, Max unlocked something for Playstation Home.
Remember Playstation Home?
Neither does anyone else.
+The tricky tick i remember.... nah just kidding i dont remember either
FUCK THAT HIT ME
me and my friends used to rape eachother in that and got banned LOL
I like that costume on jin. he looks like a warlord or something with a commander cape or jacket whatever the hell it is.
Now play Tekken 5, and see how much bullshit Jinpachi is
Facts, lol.
AI Jinpachi was a bitch but using him was actually quite hard on the PS3 version he was playable
fireball to fireball is a true combo tho lol
The worst shit is when I saw him do the stomach fireball, I'd sidestep thinking I dodge it and go "HA HA BITCH" until I realize he can fire like 3 of them at once and I'm like "...fuck."
Yes! this is what I want to see Max play!
Max! The sheep stage you mentioned about is "hidden retreat!" That's my favorite stage too, along with "fiesta del to mate" and the tekken 6 scenario campaign ending music!
Jin's ridiculous costume makes him look like an evil anime dictator. XD
Funny enough, that's the idea. Same designers as a show called Code Geass where a prince kills off his own monarchy with mech suits family as Terrorist Batman.
+SenpaiSamaKun xD I remember that anime.
Oh Tekken 6, I played you the least. I can't wait for Tekken 7 though, it looks sick.
Max " Whoah, Hwoarang! What the hell you took out of closet, man? Put it back."
Hwoarang "Yeah, yeah. Shut up, already."
Then proceeds to destroy Max.
Sega helped Namco make the ranking system. Namco designed Brad and Got as a thank you.
Goh
+Tony Peluso that's kinda dope I never knew that. I loved Goh tho, such a sick character lol
For a while now, I've wanted a Boss Rage featuring NANCY. Anyone else?
+The4thSnake I'm all up for it!
Definitely agreed with jin being the best fighting game protagonist, ever since I first saw the guy back on tekken 3 I instantly loved pretty much everything about him.
Lol Max made Azazel look like a complete joke
lol ikr
+The tricky tick no. hes a lot worse.
Yeah, because he started the run with no rank. Try facing him on a difficulty setting higher than 8th kyu and he'll have a lot harder time of it.
***** I was starting to think that because Azazel in this video was nothing like the nightmare some of my buddies back in highschool were describing him as.
Treythegreat23 no jinpachi is worse in tk5 fucking hate him
This video made me remember how flawless the stages on Tekken 6 were.
lol may look simple but i love the introduction to the quarters up videos lol
Hwoarang, what did you pull out of the closet? Put it back dude, put it back. Hwoarang comes in "Yeah yeah, shut up already". LMAO
I like Kazuya more than Jin, by far..
Heihachi is just a dick. Jin was just insane.
agreed
+DarthBerial I liked Devil Jin.
same
DarthBerial I like Jin more than Kazuya, by far..
The best thing about Tekken, is that no matter where you were hit that lead to your defeat, its always your back that you arch and hold.
This costume is sick WTF are talking about also you can pick different color if you don't like it
Tekken's graphics have always been impressive
For me, Tekken 5 had one of my all time favorite fighting game stages and themes. It was the original Moonlit Wilderness. That endless field of white with those ruins in the background, all backdropped by the moon looked simply beautiful. Max has a blocking problem. I blame Killer Instinct.
I miss Tekken and it is annoying we have to wait until 2017 to play it on PS4. Cannot wait to play the new one.
I noticed that when you said "It's a Soul Calibur boss in Tekken" It was immediately after Azazel used a move similar to Ivy's B+K where she puts her weapon in the ground and it spikes up 3 times moving further from her. As an Ivy main it made me lol
Keep up the good work mate.
Wait, Is Jin wearing M. Bison's DLC suit?
lmao i get it
No, he showing you that he used to be part of the Knights of the Blood Oath.
Lol more like Bison copied Jin
Jin Bison.
The M stands for Mishima
At which point did Tekken's storyline became ridiculous?
6
6
If you mean tekken tag, tag 2 endings they are non-canon. But yes some are really ridiculous.
2
never, is just that you scrubs think that every character ending is canon...
1:20 FOREST LAW ON THE TRUCK!!!
now now Max, let's not insult this fly ass Mishima suit. might want to get your fashion game up lol
I like that costume that Jin had, it looks really cool!!
I really want to get into the the Tekken games. Is Tekken 6 a good place to start?
try tekken tag 2
Alejandro C
k. Thanks!
Tekken Tag 2 is not a good place to start, as it's rare you'll get tag based Tekkens. (Only 2 has been made.) Tekken 6 is because you should focus on the basics and learning one character at a time.
***** Being a "better" game content wise doesn't mean it's better to learn. *Fail*
***** I'm speaking of content when it comes to more in game, not DLC. Tekken 6 will help the transition over the Tekken 7, Tekken 5 won't as the combos are very different.
I can't wait to see the Street Figher 5 episode of Quarters Up! Oh wait... Street Fighter 5 doesn't have Arcade Mode
LUCKY FIRST TIMER, YOU MAKE AZAZEL LOOK EASY
I LOST SO MANY TIMES TO THAT GUY
He might have accidentally had the game on easy
the game's difficulty is based on your rank. Max is very low so he was easier then usual. And to be fair Jinpachi was 100 times worse then Azazel
+Tyrineal Nah, Jinipachi was easy. At first I didn't know you could dash to avoid his stomach blast, that made it a piece of cake.
+Tyrineal I totally forgot about ranks. Even on Easy I struggled at first; Tekken 6 was my first time getting into the modern Tekken games.
"I'll teach you the meaning of pain" it kinda sounds like akuma's quote.
Hwoarang taught Jin the power of a ridiculous costume, so Jin went and raided Leo Whitefang's wardrobe.
honeslty surprised max remembers how to play jin, but then again, jin never changes. and side note : counterhit EWHF is the superior punish.
Jin aint even my main and i could do better. He should learn some new stuff.
Wait. Does it have Story Battle? Or is that only in the PSP version?
it does, single and multiplayer
No, I mean fight a series of opponents followed by an ending like in previous Tekkens.
It's also on the console versions, you have to enter the tournament in Scenario Campaign to play 'story mode' and unlock the endings.
The martial arts I'm practicing actually uses Kyu and Dan too. Start at 9th Kyu, move up to 1st Kyu, move over to 1st Dan, up till 15th Dan
the candle's in jin's stage look like the combat adjudicators from devil may cry3 lol
Max. Kyus and Dans are actual rank names given to people that practice Japanese martial arts. Kyus are colored belts while Dans are black belts, often times with different stripes to show what Dan you are. ;)
Seconds in and max already did what he's best at, scaring a few chickens and a pig
BTW in my personal experience, I noticed that Azazel is Much Harder in the Arena mode, than in the Arcade mode.
I'm still playing this right today
Got to love the corpse thrust.
Jesus Christ 7 years and Max still has better combos than I do. O_O
And Tekken's the only fighting game I've ever played!
I really love Jin's Mishima Zaibatsu jacket costume. It's my personal favorite.
In this episode, Max questions Jin Kazama's fashion sense.
I dont know what Max is going on about, the costume looked fine
Exactly! What he should complain about is how shitty the SF4 characters look.
+rockmenx8xx hey Juri looked amazing
it looked like someone from WoW designed it
I like it as well
Max, Tekken 6 is actually about 9 years old now. Initial release was in 2007. Can you believe it?!
Good stuff, Max. So glad you're incorporating more Tekken, and I can't wait to play T7. Hopefully you get the PS4 version so I can meet you online for some good matches.
nice to see you show tekken some love! good looks max!
WHat was the difficulty?
Default if I remember correctly which is medium
Why he no try ULTRA HARD or atleast Very Hard...
boss rage maybe?
+AnotherBot:D my guess is that max doesn't have the combos down just yet.
The game becomes more difficult at higher character-rankings. His Jin was at Beginner-rank, so basically the easiest mode.
The best way to humiliate Both Azazel and Nancy, is with Devil Jin, and here's how:
For Nancy: Keep pressing Forward+4, Or, keep mashing Up+1+2.
For Azazel: When you get the chance, press 2 (Triangle/Y) while sidestepping, followed immediately with another 2, then when he tries to jump down on you, keep mashing Up+1+2, and watch the torture!
+Royal Knight instructions unclear got my dick stuck in my controller
+Toby Sarcia Damn, how did you get yourself in such a sticky situation?
***** because of unclear instructions lol jk
+Toby Sarcia The numbers are codes of some kind, replacing the buttons, because TEKKEN is now on all systems.
But to help you, here's what they mean:
1: is Left Punch (LP), which is Square on PlayStation, or X on XBOX.
Which video is max talking about where he discussed fighting game protagonists?
I love the music on the final boss stage
Tekken's the only game i think i'm better at than Max, i look forward to potentially seeing him learn what it's all about :D.
Tekken 7's going to be great, and on PC too!
the physics on jins cape are amazing
Isn't Quarters Up similar to Boss Rage since you're just going through arcade mode to fight the boss?
The main difference is that in Boss Rage, Max has the difficulty set at the hardest, while in Quarters Up its stays on normal.
+MultiBoxingKid I think anyway.
+MultiBoxingKid pretty much. Basically it'd be what the difficulty on the arcade machine would be.
I love that snow effect in the Alisa battle! :)
Another fighting game that has aged well visually, Virtua Fighter 5. That game is beautiful.
tekken 6 was probably my fav fighting game of that gen
Hey Max, You know what would be cool? A Top Ten List of favorite fighting attires
Can't block bullets, but can block chainsaws.
Got the final boss on the first boss on the first try. Way to go Max.
wow watching max fight Azazel brings the salt back jeesus I hate this boss thank God Bob was a character :3
Right? I feel like an asshole for this, but after getting bodied by Azazel for half an hour as Lili, I wanted to see Max get his ass kicked by him. I'm sorry, but when it's comes to Azazel, I bleed solid grains of salt.
+Char Aznable I feel ya bro
Glad I wasn't the only one! I couldn't beat it when I played took it round a friends house to play... he spent 1:30 trying to beat him. That fucking teleport after the knock down had me V-Triggered before V-Trigger was a thing!

I genuinely love the sheep stage too!
Bob had the best story line in all of tekken 6 where he gets skinmy

A tip for you my friend, you're not supposed to play tekken on the analog stick.
The arrow buttons are superior and easier to play with.
I've had this arguement with a few people. I've adapted to play T6 with the analog. It's very responsive. Its just the way I play. I find it harder to play with the arrow keys and dislike it as well. If only you still had the white costume with the cape for the final boss, then it REALLY would've looked like a Dark Souls fight.
In TK6 jin is antagonist, protagonist is Lars
You can change the colors and take off the cape.
A WEAPON TO SURPASS METAL GEAR
4:54 perfect response to Maximilian's comment
On Jin's alt. crazy costume... Siegfried & Roy called they want their costume back LOL
But the quote "I'll teach you the meaning of pain" is from Akuma in street fighter iv when you fight him in the secret battle
aah some memories with this one, first game i ever got all the achievements for
ok... one question .. even for a robot how in the world dose Alisa fit
all that tech in that little frame body ?
Dr bosconovitch has the answer, be built her.
I love this series
How is it baiting you if it's clearly doing something other than the idle animation?
One thing I learned about playing this game is you have to play it aggressively. Try your combos even if they block it as well as moves and grabs.
Yeah Tekken 3 is the best Tekken game there is.
max, am replaying Bloody Roar Extreme and it would really be a blast watching you play that game too
"I'm cold, you have a jacket" - Max 2016
If you wanted to win vs the robot then try Devil Jin and laser the living daylight out of it. Also you would side step 2 and double/triple laser most of the time to go through the final boss.
Namco games will always look amazing, Soul Calibur 4 is older than T6 and it looks amazing still
