- 1st step to getting my Corvette c6 z06 ready for its first track day at Sebring Raceway in September is getting it new Texas Speed Plugs and Wires. Recently doing a few fun pulls with the wife Ive been served with a lovely CEL stating "Multiple Misfire Detected", so of course my first plan was replace plugs and wires.
I was between the Accel 9000 Ceramic series and Texas Speed 10mm Spark plug wires. Since TSP had the most insulated wires and through another track racer recommendation I chose TSP, but will they be the better than the favorite Accel.
Sorry for the time travel in this video. I thought this video was a done deal with just wires since it immediately removed the code, but the CEL paid me another visit so I had to go back and finish the job with the NGK TR6 Plugs.
Did you have any issues with the wires holding onto the spark plugs? I just came back from a test drive and a few of the wires have backed off of the plugs. Should there be a "click" onto the plugs?
You know, I noticed mine didn’t really click but they also haven’t come off either. I just ensured I pushed them down snug and wiggle tested lightly before moving to the others
@@SloJoeRacing Thanks man. It's my first build and I've only taken the stock wires off, never put LS wires on before. Did you use dielectric grease?
Thats awesome! Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. Im no pro, but love to help where I can.I didn't use grease, but you definitely can!
I’m having trouble with mine connecting to the coils. Plugs are snug coils not so much.
Your gonna need more than new plugs to keep up with my 200 hp scion boy!!!
😂😂😂
Get her ready to slay on that track 💪🏼🔥🔥
Hell Yeah !
