Sabrina, I really needed to hear all of this. We are at the 4.5 month mark and I'm having so many triggers, the feelings of not deserving it, and my insecurities are in full force. Listening to this made me realize he IS there for me, he shows up in ways no one ever has, and that I have a lot of work to do on myself. I don't want to lose this person. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Thank-you Sabrina for your amazing podcasts! I've been able to reconnect with an old high school mutual-crush, we have built a great foundation with an emotional connection, respect for each other and open communication. We were talking online for two months and just had our first in person date (it was incredible!). I am so thankful for your podcast; it's helping me navigate and understand so many things I didn't before
Thank you for making this content. I let all my friends and family know about this podcast. I appreciate the conversations and lets me think of situations that’s happened in the past where I’ve acted out and gives me a chance to reflect, understand, and have the knowledge to not make the same situation happen or at least come to a resolution quicker. ❤ P.s you have a beautiful soul~
Love your pod Sabrina! It’s so refreshing to hear reasonable advice. What do you think about meeting family that lives out of state? It seems like a whole ordeal to actually plan to meet and he feels six months is a bit early for that.
So so happy to help babes!!! If they feel it’s too soon maybe get curious what they need besides time to feel more comfortable and when would they be open to it? Totally their call, took me 9 months to meet Ryan’s parents out of town so I get both sides of it!
Sabrina Zohar’s podcast offers relatable and practical advice on relationships, which resonates with many people. Her episodes cover important topics like navigating conflict, self-love, and healing from toxic relationships. However, it's important to recognize that her insights come from personal experience rather than formal clinical or mental health training. While relatable stories can be powerful, complex issues such as managing anxiety and healing from emotional trauma often benefit from professional, evidence-based guidance. For individuals looking for more structured, research-backed approaches to mental health and relationships, seeking advice from licensed therapists or mental health professionals can provide a deeper, more comprehensive understanding. This ensures that the guidance is not only empathetic but also grounded in proven therapeutic methods, helping listeners make long-lasting emotional progress.
I loved this episode. I've been dating someone and we are just hitting about the 3 month mark. A first in a long time for me. One of my questions is regarding things to consider when you hit a road bump like expressing the need for more consistency. What type of questions to ask yourself as your going thru this bump.
Oof I hear ya! I would say: am I seeing progress? Do they validate my needs and hold space? Are they judging me etc? Super important to see how you’re also feeling!!
Biggest green flag? When she also follows the Sabrina Zohar show! Your podcast is fantastic. Sometimes it's not easy to listen to and sometimes that's how you know it's what you need to hear. Thanks Sabrina!
Huh? You mean EMDR the type of therapy I referred to? I didn’t realize I needed to expand on the actual title being Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. Didn’t think that would be any easier than saying EMDR, sorry if you feel that’s arrogant, more that EMDR is how people refer to it not by the name…

MDR?
Why do people always use acronym and expect others to know what they mean? I actually feel that is rather ignorant.
