A special edition of the show, celebrating Channel 4's 25th anniversary, was broadcast on 2 November 2007. Carr and Dee emerged victorious at the climax, and so had to take part in a special challenge that replicated the finale of The Crystal Maze. The pair had to collect silver and gold pieces of paper being blown around in a glass dome.
Vic Reeves and Joanna Fisher, who was a member of the 1980s Channel 4 programme Minipops both came into the studio to ask bonus questions. Jon Snow read out a fake news report on The Snowman. Quentin Tarantino, Anna Friel, Jonathan Ross, Ram John Holder, Derren Brown, Jo Frost, Jools Holland and others appeared on pre-recorded filmed questions. The children of Mitchell Brook Primary school acted out classic Channel 4 programmes The Word and TFI Friday.

Sean ripping into the school play absolutely *broke* me.
Watching him always brings me such joy. While I am of course sad that he's gone, that feeling is eclipsed by how glad I am that he was here.
Fucking disgrace it was.
Him talking about getting hit in the face with a broom "The nun just said THAT WAS SHIT" - just perfect lol
@@Sideway8 Njok
Between that and his comment about Katy Perry, it was great seeing James Corden in tears from laughter
we dearly miss him
How lucky were we to live in a time where even though Sean is gone, all of his performances are immortalized by technology.
Yeah.. that's one win for techmology!
His Madonna routine still cracks me up.
"he's effervescent, energetic and charming; it's James Corden" is a sentence that's never been said since
Nor has anyone ever been so effusive with praise for James Corden while denigrating Sean Lock in the same sentence. Its The Bizarre-O Quiz of 2008.
It's hard to believe but there did exist a time when James was not a twat. This episode is the only evidence.
@@JoeyJoJo454Gavin and Stacey is a leather good 1
I mean 2008 was a time when James Corden was a British hero, creating one of the big Sitcoms of the era. Then he went to America and it all fell apart for him, and he became the bastard we know today.
Growing up is realising Sean Lock was a better comedian and person than James Corden is
Sean talking about the kids is the most iconic thing in the history of this show!
Putting Sean Lock in the thumbnail is both a mark of comedy respect, and the reason for me to click on it immediately.
What about removing his 'abomination' joke? Is THAT respecting his memory...?
@@zybch it's not in the spirit of sean, but it is respectful to show the rest. Most people seem to be here for him tearing those kids a new one, anyway.
@@zybch yes, makes sure a dead man won’t be held to an offhand comment he made 14 years ago
@@finnmacmanus5723 Indeed... especially a joke with zero actual intent of malice that religious and bigoted nutjobs might try and use to further their maniac beliefs.
Watched this multiple times and never before noticed how often Dara is just sitting there shocked at everyone else - till he finally joins in with something so much dirtier that it all stops. 😂😂
That’s years of exposure to Frankie Boyle. Lol his brain is ruined.
I was trying to pick up on this but this was the first thing I noticed and he went all in - balls deep xD
9:16
Maybe I'll see him shocked a bit later 😉
Sleigh bells, jingling ring ting ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬
The chemistry between these 6 is amazing. One of the best big fat quizzes to date.
RIP Sean your comedy is missed
Even Corden's tolerable in this which is saying something.
@@mannmctrash i thought your profile pic was alex horne for a second
@@FishReallySucks Nah it's David Mitchell lol
44:52 "He'll be pissed by now!"
Sean's quickness was unmatched 😂
Every time I see the Sean lock slagging off the kids acting clip I always hope that there's a person in there 20s by now laughing their head off because they were one of the kids 🤣 wonder if the kids parents were advised not to show the kids their part of that years quiz 😅😅
It wouldn't be a good idea for children that age to watch any big fat quiz episodes with or without Sean locks comment, most of what's discussed on these shows would have more impact on their little minds than Sean saying their acting was shit
@@mikekilkelly2138 I'm sure they'd be excited to watch their part on the TV personally? I don't think they would let them sit and watch it all, though I'd imagine it's possible some would be intrigued at seeing themselves on the screen
I think it was for the 10th anniversary of doing the quiz, I'd had the idea at the time that they should've invited all the kids back from the first school show ever and had them act out a new play
I've always assumed that the school warned parents not to let the kids watch after the end of the play. Would be so brutal otherwise.
@@mikekilkelly2138 True, can you imagine these kids learning of noteworthy public news that happened in the last year? They'd be completely mindbroken for the rest of their lives. There's a reason that everybody in the UK keeps their kids in a cellar for the whole year, lest they catch a functional TV or a newspaper at any point.
Watched this is bed on headphones when I couldn't sleep last night. I managed to silently laugh, apart from a couple of shorts when Sean went on his rant about the school play. I don't know why it got me so much but my body was shaking so much from laughing I woke my husband up. He was not pleased. I miss Sean Lock, I'm just so lucky I got to see him live.
Sean had James cackling the whole time what a fun episode RIP Sean
16:10 I still come back just to watch Sean…always puts a smile on my face. Rip legend
Ah, the good old days when James was still normal, Boris was just a wacky mayor, Jimmy was not a ken lookalike and Sean was still present...
Glad there are uploads of these on here ;)
Ah, the good ol' days 😂😂😂
Sean should've been on more of these. Absolute legend. Rip
Rob Brydon actually ripped into the school play as well back in the 2005 quiz, but he said it more as an offhand remark. Sean on the other hand absolutely leaned into it, and that made it hilarious. What a legend.
Awesome to see so much love for Sean Lock in the comments he was one of a kind
Sean's reaction to the kids' play is my favorite BFQ moment, ever.
I’ve watched this several times but Sean Lock savagely tearing into the school play still absolutely buckles me 🤣
Rest in peace Sean; thank you for bringing so much joy to so many. You were taken from us far too soon.
The fact that I’m watching this entire episode for only Sean Lock tells me how fuckin funny his improv was.
Davina and Claudia in one room is my my bucket wish sorted, right there 😄. Absolutely love this show.
Claudia back in her young sleek sexy cute days. She didn't age well.
@@eolsunderClaudia looked concerningly thin, then. Glad she looks healthier now. Unless you are Jon Snow, Claudia probably wouldn't notice you.
There’s nothing wrong with being thin. Besides, if u think that’s thin then check out Gabrielle Anwar at this time. I’m not kidding, one decent bounce and you could break her in half.
Only Sean can make crapping on the kids' acting is one of the best tv scenes ever.
😂😂😂😂 I LOVE HOW LOCK KEPT BANGING ON ABOUT THE KIDS ACTING.
Nearly a year ago Sean passed away and I still can't believe it. I miss him so much on Cats.
The ever fantastic, Sean Lock. Our lives are truly brighter thanks to you bringing us so many smiles through the years. 💜
I love that both sean lock and john hurt are in this episode
u know when Sean laughs at his own joke..he has nailed it!!!
Just saw one of Daras stand-ups . That shit was hilarious . He takes so much grief on mock the week I kind of forgot 🤣
1:18:21 Sean Lock was such a good comedian that he made a great joke in 2008 about Jimmy Carr, and nobody (including Jimmy) picked up on it until 2012.
respect for catching this, i picked up on this as well and came to the comments immediately
what does he say?
@@laurenceturvey7419 tax dodger
He says O B will paint the Whitehouse pink for his kids...I don't understand the ref of this joke.
@@gaskellr44 no its just after that he says "he was the fastest tax dodger in the world" and pretended to drive a car. Like jimmy carr. Yet another jimmy on tv that people hinted at but no one ever realised until they were caught.
Sean Locke’s tirade on Mitchell Brook Primary School almost killed me. Haven’t laughed so much it hurt
I'd forgotten John Hurt used to read the autobiographies 😆 as lovely as he is though, there's just something about Charles Dance reading from Katie Price and Mel B's books that just fits in with the chaotic nature of this show so much better ❤️
These guys were hilarious In this episode
Good group of people.
AH YES!!! The one everyone was waiting to be uploaded!
“Put baked potato, but don’t.”
- philosopher Sean Lock
Sean really wanted to get that Baked Potato joke out didn’t he lol. How many times did he actually say it? 😂
0 - 2 - 60 as Clarkson’s PIN is incredibly underrated!
I have been searching for a comment about this joke! Can you explain it to me? I don't understand the significance of the number
@Michael_Pepin it stands for zero to sixty (Miles per hour). It's a car term stemming from Clarkson hosting Top Gear (at the time).
I miss Sean so much, no one will come close to him. Im so glad we had him even though it was too short.
Thank you for uploading these!!!
Sincerely,
An American obsessed with this show

How loooong ewe bin a proud amercin?
Follow up qwestyun, does y'all have any or all of JFK's functioning braincells? Arseking 4a friend.
I went to Drama school, I've got that same chip on my own shoulder as Sean Lock here.
It's great to see all of these full episodes in a great resolution and without the various editing mixups! I'm looking forward to seeing more!
"without editing mixups" ? you might want to have another look, my friend. 1st is: Jimmy giving the answer to the pregnant bloke question was skipped...
"without editing mixups" nah this is a censored/DMCA free edit and its particularly egregious with skipping bonus rounds and answers
A lot of those kids are probably in their 20’s by now. I hope some of them grew up and started watching Sean, only to find this rant on youtube at some point.
Ik heb deze al 100x gezien en daar kunnen er nog wel 100 bij en dan ben ik het nog steeds niet zat
1:05:31 I love how Guy Ritchie is looking over James' shoulder as he talks about what Guy supposedly said about Madonna.
Sean was a consummate professional. He sat next to James Corden for well over an hour and you would never know how much he hated him.
Every time McIntyre makes a dull, vapid joke and the camera cuts to Dara looking unimpressed, I imagine him thinking about how much Frankie Boyle despises Michael.
Sean was on form again. He was a comedy genius. Also, Claudia Winkleman is my dream woman.
The only evidence that actually exists that Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall are different people
I still rate this the funniest of all 'Big fat quiz' editions. All contestants bring something hilarious to the show. Goes without saying "Sean locks" view on the kids performance was one of the funniest moments in the show, coupled with Jame's reaction. 😂😂
Michael and Claudia look like they're brother and sister.
Michael: "I think it might be...this exact time." :)))
Sees Sean Lock: "This is gonna be great."
Sees James Corden: "Or maybe not."
Sean saying “Baked Potato” 😂 It just gets me 4:02
Additionally anyone else find it funny that James Corden basically had to go on barely funny, irrelevant rants to get a chuckle while with Sean it’s effortless just one sentence and boom laughter, and of course his schoolchildren rant was just 👌 always strange when you sit two different skill levels next to each other 😂 different as chalk and cheese.
They are still Rickrolling to this very day.
James Corden is a woeful comedian. Sean carries him sooo much when they team up
He's not a comic, it's painfully obvious.
@@pseudonayme7717 even his funniest bit was set up for him by Davina and Claudia, neither of whom are comedians but were 10x funnier than him 😂
It’s funny because at the time he was everywhere and loved but now watching it back, you realise how insufferable he is
He is about as funny as taking a dump after eating a pound of Carolina reapers, you can see the pain in Sean's face when fat boy tries to attempt being funny
That conversation about Michael lying on his insurance application certainly has a different context in hindsight.
2008 Claudia Winkleman can get it
1990 - 2024 Claudia Winkleman can get it!
The best BFQ lineup
Wouldn't get away with this shit today 😂 them 2 double teaming Jon snow.
17:00 the funniest moment of British television, we miss you Sean
Winkleman and Macintyre look like twins.
Is this really the full episode? It seems like they cut something out around 24:00
ETA: Actually, there are several places where video clips seem to have been cut out.
'Shambolic Buffoon' Doris Johnson becomes mayor of Londinium ...Oh if only we could see the future . . .
I really miss Sean none could make me laugh like him
the hypocrisy of carr calling out michael fiddling his insurance
Not happy abomination was cut out, it was the joint best bit along with Sean discussing child actors.
John Hurt truly was an amazing actor and speaker, and Sean was an amazing man. So many lost since this...
"he'll be pissed by now" omg!!
I wonder how many Americans misinterpret the word ‘pissed’ but laugh anyway.
Sean was effortlessly hilarious.
James had to really try. You could tell he was struggling.
Watching this episode reminded me of how truly badass John Hurt was. 12:04
"just put down, baked potato". Awesome.
Loved Davina in "Dead Set" 🤣😉
John Hurt once again proving that he could do ANYTHING!!
Thats the year i was born! :)
plus James Corden is the furthest thing from charming
a child
The Katy Perry comment 😂
4:25 'look at me guys, I'm saying a funny. Can you guys laugh with me because I'm saying a funny. I'm trying really hard to be funny here. that's why I'm looking around and talking loudly because I'm always over the top and need assurance from everyone around me.'
43:40 Sorry, James, that IS the film poster.
So great to see Sean Lock again. He always made me laugh so hard.
We all hate James cordon now but this is where he peaked, absolutely hilarious with sean
This was his peak?
@@voodoochild5440 he was never funny, just wasn't a cunt yet here

Sean trying to give the Children's Theater Critic a run for his money, I see
Late Lock was a man of great truthfulness and integrity. Had there been more people like him, this world would have been a better place.
I was so excited to see one of these with Sean Lock & then I saw Chubby Cordon...
RIP Sean ❤
Congratuwelldone, throwback to 2006 David Walliams.
Watching this murmering 'it only gets worse from here' every 2 minutes
Anyone else notice they took out the abomination joke?
Too bad they just didn't edit Sean and James completely out. Would have improved it 100000000000%
The funniest thing that I've watched ever
Ah Sean, miss you. Your maradonna joke will accompany me into the afterlife. Youre the man
I almost didn't recognise Claudia with her forehead visible :D Love her with or without the giant fringe, she's brilliant!
Claudia Winkleman was wrong, the largest species of penguin is the emperor penguin
2008 Claudia winkleman was special.
Fiiiiiiiit
😂 just realized that’s not a head of broccoli behind Jimmy!
Just an almost completely sublime cast. The only person that could have made it 100% perfect would be David Mitchell. And I'm not even sure who he would replace. The obvious answer is Davina(even though I think she's great), but that might would have hamstrung Dara.
Can't believe they censored themselves.❎🤷♂️🤦♂️
If David replaced James Corden, that would be a great replacement👌
@@pseudonayme7717 I would agree, but this was back when James was a regular normal dude. And he wasn't under the thumb and completely obsequious to an American giant corporation. And I am American by the way, so don't think I'm coming at this from a jingoistic non-American viewpoint.
I love Mitchell as well, but Ayoade would also have been amazing.
Full episode my arse, seems to be a few clips missing.
The winkles is gorgeous
Sean’s rant about the school kids is one of the funniest things you’ll ever see, the only thing that slightly worsens it is James Corden sitting next to him being James Corden
Still brilliant! Sean is very missed and comedy took a huge hit when he passed.
35:33 Kid gives Sean Lock’s review of the kids’ play. 😆
Best quiz of the year show so far!
Imagine being those kids parents trying to convince them this will be incredibly funny in 15 years
Funny that title says "full episode" with big letters and then you have removed many parts of this show.
14 years on... I wonder did any of the kids from Mitchelbrook primary school go on to become actors?
20:12 - I mean is he wrong, gentlemen?
