I couldn't believe he let you record in the store. They normally show a fit kick you out and call the cops even if you agree to put up the camera. I remember a few years back I tried adding a guy I met up there on pokemon sun. Pulled out the 3ds and got told to put it up or leave. In a game store. ive known my gamestop manager since i was like 13 or 15. one of the coolest persons i have ever known. any time I get to see him i always express to him how much his kindness and love for games impacted my life.
Shout out to that employee. UNDERPAID Gamestop needs to recognize employees like that. He's a massive asset to the company, will reduce time wasted & build rapport with customers.
He is a district manager. I doubt he is the employee that is underpaid. But GameStop did just raise 5 billion dollars in cash so hopefully this is something that continues to build. If you want their employees to get paid more make sure you take your ass to your locale GameStop and shop. Not enough to to just talk about it.
Everything you just said shows how little you know about corporations... you do realize regardless of how much you buy from that shop they will not increase the price of pay.... if they can profit they will. Name a single major company that pays more because there employees work hard ..... You won't find one
Better than a pawn shop. Not half bad for some of the cards. Some were too low. If you need to unload a ton of cards this may be an option. Either that or so them yourself
Dude these companies should have laws made on how hard they are allowed to screw customers.. like "okay it's valued at $650 and we can offer $158 in cash... " and pawn shops are even worse. They look up EVERYTHING ON EBAY. SO even if it's new and stores all sell for say $1000 they will look up used one on eBay cause to them even if it's new it's a pawn shop and people all pay used prices. So they find a ebay used price of say $600 compared to the $1000 new price then they go and offer 25-33% of the used price..so your new item worth $1000 you'll get maybe a offer of $150-$200 AND THATS IF THE ITEM IS SOMETHING THERE IS A DEMAND FOR. IF it's a odd item but still expensive. They will use the excuses of "O it's gonna take up space and take along time to sell" then your offer will drop even more.. you'll most likely get $100-$150 offer.. THEN LASTLY ON TOP OF ALL THE MONEY THEY SCREW FROM YOU OFF THE TOP. YOU PAWN IT SAY FOR $200 AND YOULL PAY LIKE A STUPID 30-80% INTEREST. SO THAT $200 WILL NOW COST $50-$120 IN FEES WHEN YOU GET IT BACK MAKING IT $250-$320 YOU GIVE THEM... AS I have said. Everything in this world is ironclad protection and rigged to benefit the billion dollar companies no matter how. People are living pay check to pay check scraping by purchasing everything that's already severely overpriced to make these companies stupid rich. However when the tables are turned and say we need to sell a item or trade it in. It's essentially one step above worthless or pennies you get back . And what happens the second you hand over the item? The cycle starts all over. They will put a sticker on it and a price tag of $850 with info stating it's brand new practically. All the info you gave them when trying to sell and trying to get maybe a additional $50 for as they lie and say used is used
Its cool that the gamestop employee was honest with you and a collector most employees would have just try and rip you off or don't really have the knowledge on what they are scanning.

They make their money through high trade volumes. That's why they buy cards at below market rate (50%-70%) and sell them at slightly below market rate (95%). They don't want to hold onto the cards because it's too risky. Instead, they focus on earning from the buying and selling process. They prioritize trade volume. Of course, they would only offer 50-70%. Why would they buy cards from you for 80-90%? They need to make a profit. Gamestop employees are great on their honesty, but selling at that price range is a dealbreaker. I cant blame them though, they dont have enought profits if they buy at full swing.

@pokephil420 ohhhh I see. still not work it though since lots of locals will offer 60% value or just sell it online for full if you have the time. I agree it's risky because of the over saturation of this card
Not everything that moves up is some wild random pump man.
@saneminds3700 well it sure isn't organic.
GS has a pretty knowledgeable employee. I thought they'd be taking in a lot of fakes like those retro games.
The ONLY reason he is like this is because the store leader there must be cool and understanding.
I wonder what GameStop is doing with the cards after they buy them
They get scanned to double check for authenticity at the Warehouse then distributed to all stores.
@@chrisallen1668 to be re sold at a higher price or??
They send them off to their warehouse then they post them online for people to buy.
as a former employee im sorry for game stop giving everyone low ball prices for there graded cards
Not only are their prices wrong on every single one but what their offers were way off based lol. Tried to overpay on one and super low blow on another. GameStop = 👎
I'm really curious what this experience would be like at a different store where the worker is not an experienced collector.
That gamestop employee is a good employee and person.
I don’t collect but this was interesting to watch both you and the staff. Thanks for the video!
Wow man you blew up on YT! I haven't watched a video of your in a while. I remember when you had 200 subs lol good stuff mane
They only take PSA 8,9,10 slab nothing lower.
Some of them were decent if you were really trying to offload but I feel like a local store is gonna be better
At this point I find it a waste of time for these employees to spend there time to do all of this to then give a terrible offer that like 99% of people will just say no. Yea it's cool Gamestop can make offers on this but damn I don't think they are ever gonna buy any
I don’t care what price they give that process is wild , just that would make me all set
Bro awesome video. Very imformative on the process of trading in graded cards at Gamestop 👌
I’m not awkward I’m not awkward I’m not awkward 🤣 literally me going into anywhere😂
This guys like the Master Splinter of Game stop employees.
I thought about getting a bunch of my smaller cards graded but it’s $20 a card. Not worth getting my $5 card graded if it costs more to grade lol
Those prices were way off. Great video!
The guy's shirt says it all.."Let the Heist Begin!!"..lowball from Gamestop
The danger of credits is when the store/company goes bankrupt suddenly, all your credits become worthless immediately! Cash is king! 🤴
Happened to me at a local smoke shop built up 100s of dollars worth of rewards and the store store went bye bye 👋
I mean if you're just gonna spend it right away it's a valid option
you should try some low value 10s ranging from 30-100 and see what the offers are. wonder if theyre better than selling on ebay due to fees.
Shout outs to the employees, they seem like really nice people.
What do you think about TAG grading from some of the guys that are from CGC? I wonder if a few in auction and it’s AI grading but it’s still has ties to CGC
Damn I didn’t know it cost $15 per card and was 20 minimum to send in….might save up a check or too to send in some cards I have (also don’t know if I should since I don’t have any old OGs but I might send in some OHs and some high ones I’ve gotten)
Bought a scale Recently to see if I can scale a booster box I bought, See if there is a real difference to scaling and maybe also save those packs for a wild video (weighed pack opening)
Charzard is more known... Easier to sell...
I have a whole binder of 1st ed pokemon how do I go about getting them graded?
