- Recently, I’ve been looking at the Eastwood contour surface conditioning tool and thought wow that would be nice to sand my car with in due time, and i almost pulled the trigger on buying one until I had a thought and figured i could create a decent hack that costs just the price for the sanding drum itself. I don’t know how long this will last for but with that here you go. 😅😅

Awesome. I'm searching for sanders and already subscribe.
i was almost 3/4 through the video before i realized you were working on a classic mini lol
Lmao yea that’s all I work on except for wen I make a random video about nothing 😂
@@klegraefe hell yeah. I just imported my 89 to the states last month. Bought it 3 years ago in Italy
@@RaveJolt oh shit!! Better late than never!! 👊🏻🤘🏻
If you have the time, the machinery, spare parts and some skills, them by all means for a single use every now and then go for it. I have all that but paying the $119 for the HF tool that comes with 3 different pads is more a better deal for me, even tho I am retired, my time is valuable. Plus it will evenly distribute the downward pressure more evenly> but again, if it works for you then great.
Great result mate, maybe you can incorporate a support for the outer end of the shaft with the guard so you can really push on it ?
I deff could, but usually when using an angle grinder, you really dont wanna push to hard, i find it best to let the grind disk, cutting dick or this sander do the work. But thats just my opinion haha. Once i get to the body stage of the build. Ill deff be using this more and testing it.
the heat from the high speed could end up giving you troubles later . but its a great build.
For sure!! Best to not stay in one place and move around frequently, i still have many months of other work before I truly get to use this to its full potential
Works like a charm. 150$ saved. Creative solution, Bike parts to the rescue
Absolutely!! I usually dont hoard but when i doo. Its bike parts hahah 😮💨😅🤣. Very excited about this!!
That looks good. What would it be like getting rid of mill scale?
Hmm 🤔 actually thats not a bad idea, ill have to try it. I actually think itll work quite well
Good video, but you can buy an adapter on the web to put on you angle cutter.
Your right! I had no idea they made these 😅

nylon disc is the way...
30 minutes well spent.
😅🙏🏻👊🏻 and not a minute wasted!!
Your tool doesn't do nearly as well as theirs because your RPM's are probably double or tripple what they should be even with you turning it down. The harbor freinght one is way better than this method and the Eastwood is a bit better quality than the HF version. The RPM's is the key to making this device work properly.
"in the junk pile ova there"
Powerhack
Hahah im stoked. I was looking at this tool all week like 🥴🥴. I think were knto something here lmao 🙏🏻👊🏻👊🏻
@@klegraefe it’s a winner but PLEEZ mask up
