Thank you. I appreciate your feedback.
This is a much needed and underrated channel, I hope it get as many followers as it deserves. Thank you for all the knowledge you are handling to us.
Thank you. Which country are you in?
I'm 3 years late but you're a god send
Hey, thank you for everything youre doing to help us fix our cars. But im not fully sure how it is from model to model but i changed my speed sensor on my 3000GT VR-4 95 mod and i had no problem disconnecting the speed sensor without removing all those tubes, just removed the battery tray. just wanted to mention it because i know how difficult it cant be to get those tubes back on, and it could save people from waaay more work than it has to be.
I'm impressed if you got it out on a VR4 without removing the hoses. It is pretty tight in there. Experience and a good clean car helps. Thanks for watching my channel.
@@3000GTGTORestoration it may have something to do with me having quite small hands, and im not saying it was easy getting it out that way but it was possible. But yeah it is quite clean and nice car to :)
@@skilnand was your 95 VR4 electronic or cable type? Thanks!
Yes I was one of those too asking about this You’ve truly informed and helped me understand the system. Absolutely the best source of info about our cars on the internet and wow you do it for the passion of the car.
You have become a blessing to me and my 92 Stealth, I greatly appreciate all you have done to help everyone and our vehicles! But, i am still waiting for part 2 of window alignment with those plastic cirlcles loose on the window, mine pivots from the middle. Regardless, thank you for everything!!
Very sorry for the delay. The video was done weeks ago but I rely on someone else with technical knowledge and fast Internet to render and upload the videos. He doesn't charge me full rates so I can't push him. Please be patient. It will come soon.
yooo 2 years late but i have a 92 stealth too
Great video again! There is a way to test the actual speedometer sensor with alligator clips and a multimeter, then a drill to spin the square shaft. I found that my speedometer didn't work. My speed sensor tested good, the fault was the cluster. Bought a good used working unit and all is well.
Excellent video Joe! Love your work and the details that you share! Just changed out the vehicle speed sensor, electrical version, and it now works like a champ! Back to details, pointing out things like the retaining wire on plug going into the speed sensor was a great tip! I could not get a good view on the plug, but knew it was there based on you mentioning it in the video! Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback.
Yes!! New video! Very educational. I always thought speed was measured somewhere by the wheels like on a bicycle. Thanks for the education joe!
This is what I was looking for, thank you for covering this.
Hi your videos are very helpful! Just wanted to say a massive thank you for taking the time to do these videos to help others to get their car back to a good standard. If possible would you be able to do a video on installing a kph to mph converter?
Ive found the problem in two different cars to be the cluster itself. The metal traces in the circuit board on the back that bring the current to the speedometer and odometer connectors can be broken ever so slightly, and no reading is given.
If you check everything else and it's ok, then look at those pathways on the back of the cluster
Joe you are always a lifesaver!.. Thank you for all your videos good sir
Thanks for watching Ken.
You are an absolute legend. Please keep making these. I do hope you can make some profit from this. Again, thank you for such an amazingly detaild video.
Profit would be wonderful but I can't make profit when I don't charge for the videos and the only parts I sell on my forum are heavily discounted by me to help out the community. The average cost of a video is around $200 and some have cost as much as $500. I am just happy to help. Thank you all for the support and for watching. The channel has been much more successful than I ever expected and the best is yet to come.
thanks too much you are the best regards from Mexico
Thank you for this video it was very helpful. Hope you are feeling better.

Very very awesome work guys, excellent job and very well done video.
Thanks for the feedback
Awesome Video! Anyway you can put out a video on ticking/rocker arms. Thank you!
Sure. Please go onto the channel forum and there is a section to request a video. I can't keep track of video requests on RUclips. Thanks
Love your videos, thank you. Any videos on getting rid of or turning off factory alarm? My cars alarm goes off randomly so the knly way to not havr angry neighbors is leaving my driver door unlocked. Any future vidros would be greatly appreciated
Very sorry but I don't do fault finding or modification videos. Try posting a message on one of the many forums. I am sure that someone will have the answer.
How to Fix/check tachometer
Thanks Joe, great video!
👍Thanks!
Thank you so much
You're welcome.
Great info to have!
Thanks for the info, great video. I do have a question if you can answer that'd be great. To where to the cluster sits in the dash, those plastic prongs (sorry dont know the name of them) that plug into the actual guage cluster (when popping the cluster back in), power should be running through the top 2 plastic pieces correct? Meaning that if i have a power tester (that lights up when there is power), it should theoretically light up for the tach plastic piece AND the speedo plastic piece correct? and if that is the case, if the one that goes into the speedometer isn't lighting up, that would most likely point to a wiring issue im assuming. Or a problem with that plastic piece? Any thoughts, ideas or comments from you would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Thank you!
Joe, I unwisely didn't follow your advice and ended up snapping the aluminum on the wheel housing with the mole grips.. I can't find replacements anywhere online. Do you have any idea where I can find one or the SKU? Thank you very much.
Could a bad sensor possibly cause erratic shifting ?
hello, my car 3000GTO 1991, has a problem with the electric speedometer, after turning on the ignition, the speedometer already shows 30 miles, even though the car is stationary. when driving, it shows the wrong speed. what can I do , to fix it? thanks
Do you think a bad speed sensor can make your speed needle bounces while going up in speed?
Please help me my 1995 3000 GT. Don't have low RPM. It's tolls when the cooling Kix in advice, please.
I got a gt300 vr4 twin turbo it's been sitting a long time I can't change gears or I should say I can't get it into gears easily what could be the problem ?
Thanks Joe, always enjoy watching your videos. Luckily, I have no issues with any of my speedometers, but my tach is highly inaccurate and erratic on my 93 VR4. PTU is new and wiring is good, ECU had been rebuilt, problem persists. I've been trying to track down the issue. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, but it always reads lower than it should, sometimes it bounces around while maintaining constant rpm. When it's real cold out, it doesn't work at all. Maybe the gauge itself is finicky.
The gauges are starting to have issues but can be repaired.
