I’ve had one fitted to S3 for a couple of years & it’s spot on..I’ve also got the additional low fuel warning which is a godsend for me knowing after 65 miles I need to turn it to reserve.. ( 13 litre tank ) + I have the temperature connection to the spark plug. I also bought the extra connector for a usb which I fitted a couple of weeks ago & works a treat. I haven’t bothered with setting up everything that the sip offers just the ones I need. Great video 👏🏼
Thanks for this. I've just received my SIP speedo for my GP225. Oh, you can run either an EGT or Air /Fuel mixture in place of the cylinder head temp with optional kits from SIP.
Where did you place the temp sensor? Also. Should you remove the crush washer on your plug if you put the sensor under it? Wasn’t sure if it would seal right. Thanks. Great videos.
I placed the temp sensor under the plug and yes I did remove the crush washer on the plug so that the plug would sit at the correct height and would seal correctly. 👍😀
@@timcoffey5927 I have never tried it as a Speedo without it being wired up, the readout is digital so I guess you need to wire it in to the power. You don’t need to run a battery the Speedo.
Hi, Loved your video, but I was wondering how you mounted your phone to the leg shield please?
Ram mount and adapter for iPhone 📲
@@Shedtune_Russ Thanks alot for that Russ👍

Wise move on the fuel light 👍

I don't think you can run an EGT with the SIP speedo. You can with other makes but you need to modify the headset top to fit them.
Very informative and thank you for taking the time and effort to check the calibration. By the way lovely fast Lambretta 😍😍
Thank you very much. There is another little video that shows you the scroll through of the Speedo settings using a battery if your interested. 👍🏻
Good job, good tutorial and explanation, Thank you for detailing information. Regards from Indonesia
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this info, great sounding scooter mate 🙌🏽
Cheers
run the varitronic, use an itelliconvertor to stop the speedo resetting
Thanks for the info, I’ll have a look into the itelliconvertor

I've got a question: where can I buy a choke cable and lever like on this bike?
Search Darrell Taylor on Facebook
@@Shedtune_Russ Thank you, Russ! 🤟
should the time stay correct when starting it up next day on AC no battery cos mine doesnt
Yes, mine does. I think there is an internal battery the does that but I could be wrong.
will this still be a speedo if I only connect the speedo cable - ( I don't run my series 2 with a battery)

Brilliant 😅
Lol 😂 and thank you
Where did you get your fly screen from ?
You can get them here scooterlab.uk/product/new-improved-coast-to-coast-lambretta-screen-gp-dl-type/
The tape measure is used to measure the circumference of the wheel. I’m sure your using 10 inch wheels. So pie x 10 =31.42
Your probably right, I’m not that clever lol the only pie I know is steak and kidney….
@@Shedtune_Russ no worries.
Use a battery . Connect battery to brown wire at rear to set up everything . No need to have engine
Running
Great tip and thank you 🙏🏻 😀
Did you fit a spark plug with a resistor?
@@willpearce1315 yes 👍
Cheers .. I’m going to have a go at fitting mine this week 👍👍
can you change the speedo to MPH?
Yes
I did another video showing how to set it up. That may be better
