You'd be surprised. As a young lad in the eighties I bought a non running 1956 BSA Bantam that had been neglected for decades and sat. After Dad I cleaned off the external 'gunk' it was in reasonable external condition considering (engine and running gear were another matter! 🤣). It still had to be stripped, paint n all; but no rust!.
If it's a 1975 GP, then it's not Italian. It will be Indian. Either Vijay or SIL. Doesn't mean it's not a great restoration though. Very nice to see anything brought back from the grave, especially classics like this !!!! Top job.
i wouldnt have restored it. just spot restored the rusty floors, and washed the scooter, got it running and enjoyed. all that paint original is gone now and will never get back. what a shame!!
How can you know that there was a old motorcycle stocked over there..and the camera is already set up in the erea...too much script of it huh.anyway i lile the way you restore it..
what a weird video, very bizarre, finding a hairdryer in the bushes, best place for these things, my BSA Super Rocket would pass thing in first gear when this would be flat out
Does RUclips read our minds? Just seconds before me and my dad were talking about my grandfathers old lambertta scooter, and just 3-4 minuets after I open RUclips on phone and first video suggestion was of this video 😱
I bought my first lambretta in 1975 at the age of 15 in the UK. It was a 1969 li 150. I loved it and took it from London to brighton ( skinheads then) . Passed test girlfriend and tent off to cornwall, wales, the lakes. I cared for her and she never let me down. Oh i paid 65 quid for her and sold her 150. 2 years later. Happy days.
Anyway, so here i was, just wandering about, minding my own business and i happened to find the side panel off an old lambretta under a banana plant.....i had a bit of a scout about, and FUCK ME, i only found the rest of it. As luck would have it, somebody happened to be filming me, as i wandered about, you know, minding my own busines. Now how's that for a stroke of good luck eh !
Could’ve done without the ‘find’ intro, I’d like to find an old scooter and get it running, not restore it, I have 3 Vespas that don’t need work, late models but an old ‘61 triumph 500 that goes but unrestored, looks great 👍🏽
It must be so nice to be able to do a strip-down outside! Here (in the U.K.) it rains most days so we have to work in pretty dark sheds most of the time😞…Thanks for sharing 🙏
@@restorationofdirty first look up the site scooter restorations ,they have every drawing you`ll need for your gp.Then get hold of the book the complete lambretta book by sticky ,third go on team bhp ,the last ones a site in india plenty of indian contacts ,anything else give me a message
I had a sx200 and bored it out to 225 back in the 60s went like shit but I couldn't stop it ,brakes are crap on scooters.lot of fun though .happy memories
I’m with you Paul! (I had a tv 200 back in 1970 just before my first car) had it bored out to a 225 (70mm Bultaco piston) loved that scooter but soon found out that girls preferred a roof! 😊
Brought back memories of my scooter, in India it was manufactured and sold in the brand name "VIJAY SUPER"150cc, 2 stroke. The issue with 2 strokes is that its silencer unit needed to be de-carbonised and if you speed up then the problem of oil seal wear-off happens. But still it was a craze in the early 80s
Innocenti stopped production in 1971 so this isn't Italian, it will be an Indian SIL model.
Everything seems to be too clean for a "bush find"!
Comming soon next video❤️ thank you❤️

Obviously the bush fairies were keeping the tyres inflated😉

If it's a 200 it only has 125/150 forks on it

I love to get one before I die can you help me.
Where is the second episode of this
Sil rear lense spaco carb Non plastic toolbox (Italian spec )Indian. The frame maybe Italian
❤️❤️👍

The video was made like a short story because there is no attraction if the motorcycle is removed at once.🙂

☘️🌿❤️
You are still watching though . No one gives a shit about your bsa or leather fetish.
When can we see the rebuilding restoration video ?
😕💔
Where is the disk brake on the front Lambretta GP 200 had one dont think this is a GP 200
😐❤️
Ja vi que o cabra e valente, pois entrar num mato desse sem uma bota e só de chinelo não é pra amadores 😂
Beginning looks fake. Many Parts look war to good for an abandoned Lamy.
Not a bad starting point, could have been in much worse condition.
I want to see the second episode
Too clean even the nuts and bolts undone easy
Yes😍
Wheels turn, tires have air and the fasters are still shiny? This is a 2 week old field find.
🥺❤
Found in a field 😂😂😂 It’s like new
