yes. That reminds me of a trip I took 2 years ago and I stayed at a place and I decided to check out a couple of days earlier and they gave me a check for two nights that I wasn't staying there. I took the check and I was being driven to and from because I don't have a car and when I got back to where we all were at at this other person's house I looked at the check because I wanted to take a picture of it. I noticed that they had typed a totally different last name they put Long instead of Young and I said oh no I said to the people who I was staying with and said I need to go back to the hotel look at this check with my last name long instead of young.
Yeah... I'm surprised some act like they don't know! Spelling your given name and surname properly in official documents may also save you from legal BS happening. What if Veronica got into actual stealing - and for no reason - while Veronika didn't? And not to mention paychecks, retirement pensions, situations where paid leave and permissions are agreed with a doctor, a hospital or another welfare unit. Bro, spell names well on official documents that your boss, your doctor, your landlord or the police might handle!
'You're not taking on additional tasks' I did that. I did all of that. Worked myself to the point I got sick and needed surgery. Since I was having surgery, I wasn't able perform the additional tasks that had become an expected part of my regular tasks. Therefore, I was fired. It doesn't pay to work for free. You can't climb up the ladder when you break your legs trying to climb up the ladder.
If you do more for free, we can fire two people and give that money to the CEO whos struggling to pay for his $12 million dollar home and 180 foot yacht
I worked at a bank, and after management had played musical chairs, my old boss was gone and my new boss wasn’t connected to me in the payroll system i.e. I didn’t have a boss in the system, so my (orphaned) records missed out on payroll. I didn’t get paid for weeks; my immediate management weren’t the problem, they honestly tried their best, the problem was getting my “ticket” escalated through the bureaucracy to someone competent who would fix the problem (just a single update in the right database), but that proved impossible. I tracked it across a dozen departments and two dozen people, round and round. After 6/7 weeks, I told my bosses - kick it up the line, you’ve got til Friday, or you’re in breach of contract, and I won’t be working on Saturday to support the (super-duper mission critical) Release. Paid on Thursday. Imagine if I had relied on that money coming in.
Lawd YES. My name is SophiE - NOT SophiA, not Sofie... Yes, it makes a huge difference. Yes, it's a sign of disrespect to choose to continue the misspelling once you've been corrected. And don't get me started on my last name... grrr.
I worked at Hewlett-Packard and we had a new person come in and about six weeks in she asked me when she should expect her first paycheck because she hadnt gotten her first paycheck and I told her there was a problem. She went to payroll to find out what was going on and it turns out there was a man whose name was close to hers, different social security number and they had been sending her paychecks to him and they refused to pay her until he returned the overpayment. That's insane. I told her to call Bureau of Labor and they'd get her money back
Yes! It IS that important!! I get upset when ppl don't spell my name correctly too! If it's not spelled how I spell it, u must not be talking to or about me.
Someone said it's no big deal to me and months later asked why I always put a capital Z in the middle of their name, which didn't make any sense. I said it was for the same reason he put an i in my name.
I actually had to do the same thing with HR every email I would correctly spell my name….and it’s like she would incorrectly spell my name on purpose when responding…so I took it upon myself to kindly ask her to correctly spell my name when responding.
ah the meeting vs exceeding expectations scam 😂 then no bonus that year because the company expected to make 11 billion profit and only made 10 billion 😢
corporate greed ?! get your facts right we call it corporate proactivity from the moment i heard those words and the fact that veronika had the best interest for the customers i knew she was getting booted out of there! immediately lol!!!!
The paycheck thing has happened to me a few times and the excuse that we can't do off-cycle payroll is always their go to. Also, employers can and will reverse an ACH payment. It's happened to me. And, how has Veronika not been fired yet for talking back/insubordination??? Lol
That's why I prefer a check. I know ACH is convenient, but I don't want them to be able to take money out of my account on whatever whim they deem acceptable.
Legally, Veronika was actually stealing. One cannot take the law in one's hand and take items to make up for someone's mistake, even when the company is at fault. There are valid avenues to correct injustice.
@@Counter_Dragon Well, it was a time clock accident, actually, but even if outright deliberate theft, one can't take the law in one's own hands and perpetrate vigilante justice. There are other means for justice and compensation. If my neighbor stole something from me, I cannot legally and justly return the crime and steal from his home. Any court of law would convict you, and then perhaps not hear your lawsuit since you came to court with dirty hands.
She said she sold the stuff on eBay but I have little feeling she was just holding the goods hostage till she got her money to illustrate her point--she wanted them to know she took that sh!t
I deal with the name spelling all the time. Last name is spelled sen, not son. So every transaction I make, banking, legal, medical, whatever, I really emphasize the spelling. And even then it sometimes goes wrong. I'll be speaking to someone about a prescription say for a refill. I tell the person upfront to look under sen and they will answer I don't see your record here and I patiently spell out my name again and usually the next sentence from them is, 'oh, there it is!" No use going in a tirade about, not the worst thing that can happen to a person.
Funny how Veronic(k)a wants to get paid more while not doing more (aka, meeting expectations), while at the same time is disgusted when the company wants the same thing from its customers.
Talking about the 2nd one ? I don't think that's how that conversation went. She didn't ask for more pay .she was asking why should one more more and get paid the same .which is literally fair in any other context
Veronica or Veronika is a big difference when the check arrives and you cannot cash it because of a misspelling.

Or for getting credit for a particular project.
It also matters who gets credit for a job well done and vice versa

I almost had this happen, the difference is that my boss didn't even fill ANYTHING in on the cheque, no name, no pay, no signature

"Janet I can't hear you byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" 😂😂😂 9:27
These are just painful to watch, and I love them!
In very rare occasions does going above and beyond pays off
I totally understand her on the name
If you do more for free, we can fire two people and give that money to the CEO whos struggling to pay for his $12 million dollar home and 180 foot yacht
These videos remind me of how much I hate my job. 😂🤦🏾♀️
GIRL!!💯
😂😂
U always know they're full of 💩 when they don't answer any questions with a simple "yes" or "no" answer.

shorting the paycheck is another form of theft
I absolutely adore the sounds of your dog in the background ❣️❣️❣️

If you misspell my name I will intentionally misspell yours after I have requested correction 3 times.
I just found your channel and now I can’t stop watching! LOVE THESE!
I sure wish I had seen these videos while I was still working. I look back now and see how much I was disrespected and taken advantage of.
Lol they "want more" work out of her but wont pay more. I think mick had something to say about that
God, I love this content so long as I have been in the workforce. I'm not afraid of you. I am the commodity screw around, and you lost an asset🎉😢😂
Someone said it's no big deal to me and months later asked why I always put a capital Z in the middle of their name, which didn't make any sense. I said it was for the same reason he put an i in my name.
My god, it's like every job I've ever had 😭
I guess giving employees respect isn’t important.
I actually had to do the same thing with HR every email I would correctly spell my name….and it’s like she would incorrectly spell my name on purpose when responding…so I took it upon myself to kindly ask her to correctly spell my name when responding.
Es terapéutico.

I have the same problem. People at work still call me Demetria 5 years in. It’s annoying.
The $200 one seems fake. I had that happen to me also. I told my boss and a few days later the missing money was deposited into my checking account.
Hi there, can anyone explain why there are so many channels with the same videos?
1:22 whos dog is this ?
nice

Yes. Names and correctly spelling them does matter.

Veronika, I am telling y'all would be a pain in the ar$e to work with.
Wage theft is ALSO theft, but somehow no one cares about that. It's also the BIGGEST category of theft committed in the United States.
Wage theft is theft too.

“My name is spelled with a K not a C”
- Name is spelled with a C in the very next clip 🙄
I want more..... $$$ 😅

Só, all these subs and calls for videos on RUclips are wrong?

@@komlat253 Great, so we'll put you down for no raise this year, because if you are not doing more then why should you get paid more.
When it comes to my name at work. I usually say it's the only thing I own and I would like you to spell it or say it correctly.
😂😂
It’s your name it’s who you are just a nasty thing to do.
❤❤❤❤❤
" In the mind of a Karen" LOL!!!
