What I love about Blood and Iron is that the instruction is so clear. Anyone can pick up a longsword and learn to swing it, but not everyone can teach. I've trained hard my entire adult life, and, new to long sword, Blood & Iron are the videos I am finding most rewarding. The extra attention to footwork is a bonus, because, "no footwork, no chance."
Great, thanks for the drill! I just happened to have a metal pole sticking out of my back yard when I bought a house. Just wrapped a section in thick rope and I'm good to go!
Quick question: What training sword are you using? Where can we buy one? Thanks for the video, I'll be sure to implement the training. Please make more solo drills like this please!
What training sword are you using please? Looks like a synthetic yes? Do you ever do pell drills with a feder, and if so how do they change compared to with a synthetic? Many thanks for your time.
That is a pentii synthetic longsword from purpleheart armory. Some prefer doing pell work with synthetics since it's easier on both the sword and the pell. Good synthetics will have similar handling to steel, so it doesn't change the drills all that much.

The right moment to learn how to train alone :) Thanks !
Ah thank you this is absolutely awesome and useful. I love the explanation and the setting idea to train.
These videos are perfection.

I was studying kenjutsu years ago and I know very well about switching up your lead leg, haha. Not doing that can result in cramping.
