hey Wirt could you create a general Trackmania introduction video for those who dont know much about the game? game types, surfaces, mechanics, tips & tricks, etc. your videos frequently contain useful bits and it would be really awesome to see a video dedicated to these things.
2:50 This is very true, and something a lot of people don't realize if they don't make content. You have to clear hard drive space somewhat often, not constantly, but definitely once every 2-6 months at max. Setting up a server for just footage is amazingly useful.
His lines are off imo. His strat to play it safe cost him alot of time during the race and during the practice because he finds safe lines and takes wide angles 15ft from the walls where if he would get as close to the inside as possible and go wide he would carry slot more speed
@@noname2226 yea you cant really expect that though, hes gonna find good lines pretty fast but if youre playing the same map over and over youre gonna make mistakes and not be perfect. I understand your point but that would be like comparing it to someone who has practiced this map for a while and also got a pretty good run. Some runs just aint it
one thing I notice with pac is that while his pb time was one of the fastest he never really drove insanely fast instead his car was just so incredibly stable that it almost didn't look real

I don't play TM but I do play a lot of racing games. It still blows me away, especially the transition maps where the road goes left but you should jump right off the road. How does he get it on the first try? And how does he not get distracted and go the wrong way almost ever?
@@kaldogorath TM is certainly unique when compared to the standard of normal racing games. The maps seem so unintuitive, but the more you play you start to understand and quickly find the subtle queues of where to go next. Wirtual's level of doing this is absolutely insane.

For anyone that know all the controls and stuff in trackmania, why does my car keep slowing down when I tap the brakes? It's not like a slow down from me hitting the brakes but it slows down to the point of it stopping
I Had that when I started too. You are probably using a Controller and binded the brakes to L2 (LT) right? I didnt find another way to fix it as to bind brakes to another button
Do u mean like it's stopping the car the moment you tap it? If yes you should go to the settings and check for the controls for each button (if you play with KB) otherwise idk how it works on Controller

The maps are getting more power hungry. I play on a 2080 Super and an ultrawide 1440p (3440*1440) with 120 Hz, so I always try to get around 120 fps. in the first campaign I had 100-160 fps depending on the map but now all of the cups of the day are like 70-90 fps on the same settings.
@@fishtail2616 this might be because a PC just gets worse over time. of course, the newer versions of Minecraft are incredibly demanding compared to the older ones, but I used to run 1.8 at around 2000fps, now 8 years later on the same build its just 200fps. i can't complain because my monitor is 60hz but speed definitely gets lower with age because of clutter on your PC. nowadays every other games publisher has its own launcher and its own anticheat and all kinds of stuff that causes lag. cortana and chrome are pretty bad for it as well
yeah, people seem to forget that this isnt just 64 random people he will never see again for him, but actual friends/colleagues, I'd be way more excited to compete against people I know, obviously

Using the old PC to run a server is not a bad Idea, though servers really need to be quite powerful. If you complain about that PC being to slow for you running trackmania on it, it is most likely not enough to run a small trackmania server on it.

how long have you been playing? I’ve gone from 600-900 fps to 100-150 fps on minecraft in 2 years

GW2 uses F1 to F5 abilities and if you bind shift, ctrl and alt 1234 and use F buttons ... well tough luck :D
Use the old PC as the stream pc with a video capture card in it to take the load off the CPU, GPU and RAM of the new PC that you actually game on.
