- The plaintiff has known the defendant for 30 years, and they were friends with benefits. The plaintiff moved in with the defendant and discovered her piggy bank was emptied. The plaintiff is suing for stolen money, an apartment deposit, rent, and storage. The defendant argues the plaintiff is only suing him out of spite, and he denies owing her anything.

THIS. I had a boyfriend hit me up a few years ago (I was 23) and say, "Hey, I just had a dream with you in it. I think we should be together again, I have a feeling in my gut and I've learned to trust those feelings" meanwhile, he STILL lives with his dad, was an overnight stocker for a grocery store and was one of the WORST people I've ever slept with. I was also 16 when we dated and he was 19, still a senior in high school because he couldn't pass Algebra. Also, when I tried breaking up with him by saying, "Hey, I've been talking to this other guy and I'm really starting to like him. I want to see where it goes. You and I haven't been in a good place for a while now." His response was, "Oh, I know you wouldn't do that, you love me." Cue him refusing to accept me breaking up with him so I cheated. 💀💀
7 years later I get a text around Christmas time saying above and my response was, "I'm not the same person as I was when I was 16. I've gone through a lot and CHANGED a lot. The person you're remembering is no longer there. I'm also currently seeing another person and I want to continue on with him." Although he was a mechanic, I should have gone with the old boyfriend, tbh 🤣😂🤣because the boyfriend I turned him down for couldn't keep a job (granted when I received the text we had JUST started dating three months earlier), broke up with me 3x in 6 months, couldn't pay his bills, couldn't drive because he had a suspended license, etc. My dumbass decided, "This is the PERFECT guy to move in with! He'll grow up and pay his bills" lolnope, I'm dumb 🤦
My girl said she got beauty and brains after moving in with a cat less than one month of meeting him… Sis please recant that statement.

Not gonna comment on the beauty but I'm highly skeptical about whatever "brains" you think you have after you moved in with a man who didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of after a month. All this only to end up begging your ex to take you back after only two weeks of playing house with the rebound. Real smart. No, we aren’t!!! my grandfather, had most of his teeth when he was buried at 86. Some of of us take care of our teeth. Some of us have insurance. Some of us value our teeth enough to pay to have them restored.

In her defense, a month after they moved in together and he didn't pay her back, she told him to leave. Why shouldn't he have to(at least) pay his share of the deposit/rent and HIS daughter's school pics? That's not vindictive or petty, it's expecting a grown man to pay his share.
In the defense of common sense and sound judgment, men, that dress the way he does they don’t have money and don’t have teeth are usually on drugs. I’m guessing that his most redeeming attribute is on display when neither of them have clothes on. Women need to learn how to treat a man with nothing to offer besides a good sex like a rental car. Return him wherever you found him after you’re done with him.

These cases never fail to grab my attention, mainly because litigants seem to master the art of due diligence only after it's too late. In this situation, the red flags were practically waving in her face, but the plaintiff decided they made for nice decorations. The defendant's little fib about owning the house was only uncovered after she moved in-thanks to a realtor friend, no less. But getting evicted from the home he "owned" due to unpaid rent? Nope, that didn’t set off any alarms either. Instead, she thought it was a great idea to play house with him in a new place. Two weeks in, she finally realized that her "beauty and brains" combo wasn’t enough to salvage the situation and made a quick retreat to her former boyfriend, whom she apparently missed all along. Talk about too much of one thing and not enough of the other! During her stint with the defendant, she generously footed most of the bills while he contributed what he could-which, shockingly, wasn’t much. Who could’ve seen that coming? She’s a hot mess, no doubt! But let’s not forget the defendant-he’s a gem too. Moving someone in with his daughter? Top-notch decision-making there. And when exactly was he planning to start pulling his weight financially? His priorities should have been his daughter, especially since it's obvious that’s where his money was really going. Making financial promises he couldn’t keep with someone he barely knew, even after 30 years, just shows he hasn’t grown much at all. People change a lot from their teenage years to 30 years later, and these two are clearly no exception-they’ve just grown into very different messes.
@7:23, why didn't she have a bank account to secure her money from the piggy bank?! @15:32 Judge Millian gave him an extra week, cool Judge!!! @16:14 He held his accountability which is COOL! At the end he had kind words, she's beautiful and he still loves her. I can respect when a liligant owns their mistakes.
