@BillyJonesJr yeah me too, I was thinking maybe the 1993 Diehard 500 in Talladega where Neil Bonett was driving the 31, flipped and hit the catch fence. What a crazy race that was. The heat, Neil hitting the fence, 1 car flipped over the wall in turn 1 and Stanley Smith hit the wall head on and survived a basal skull fracture
Jr crashed out but ended up being a relief driver for someone. Can't remember who he said but when that driver was getting out of his car on pit road he threw up in front of Dale Jr while he was waiting to jump in
In terms of ambient temp, Las Vegas fall 2018 has to be near the top. Was between 99 and 101 depending on the report. But as they say, it's a try heat.
Hottest race I went to was the Indy 500 in 2018. Officially the hottest 500 in history (at least it was then) and I was sitting in turn 3 which was the last spot on the track to get shade from clouds that rolled in near the end of the race. Announcers were even saying they felt bad for everyone in turn 3. I think track temp was 125 at the hottest.
Live in the area people not from here don't understand how the corn just adds to the humidity it becomes miserable literally I've live in North Carolina south ga southern ca and none of those places get as humid. Add black asphalt and the exhaust that track was cookin
It's hard to believe it wasn't in Talladega when when they used to run in July.

It was a hot bitch back then
Damn didn’t know about those two fans R.I.P
I'm pretty sure two died in 2022 was there in person
R.I.P those 2 fans. 🙏🕊️

Glenn Allen Jr. in the 99 car
@JJRacer43 G Allen that's right thank you
The pic of Dale Jr getting interviewed is so funny
What’s more surprising is that the hottest race on record happened at a track in Illinois of all states. R.I.P. to those 2 fans
St Louis is in Missouri
@ Gateway is in Illinois. Madison, Illinois literally shows it when showing the temperature in the video
@@ic3man my bad
@ all good. Madison is only a 13 minute drive from St. Louis so you’re in a way not wrong
Daytona summer 2022 was boiling hot. you could see the rain but i missed a few laps cause i had to go inside. it was scorching hot!
The one time Nascar would be in the right to cancel/postpone a race because of humidity, and they didn't do it.
Id rather run a race in 34° weather than 90° weather any day
Ouch. Hopefully we never see a race weather wise like that again.
After the 1998 race, they installed lights so the races could be run at night. Definitely helped the track and the fans
Imagine crashing yourself because its too hot
Who wouldn’t.
If it was hot. I’m giving myself a concussion
We're not talking 90 degrees "too hot" here dude, 140 degree track temps means easily 150 or more in the car. I don't blame him a god damn bit
@@tommydotyjr.2966 I know, I just mean it's crazy to think about
Elliott Sadler was the winner of this race btw
Elliott Sadler is built different 🔥💀

I thought for sure it would be the 1993 Diehard 500 in Talladega
Damn, that's 34.44 ° Celsius

I remember before the race in Kentucky 2019 it was 106°F
I was at a race at Las Vegas, it was 107 degrees.
Anyone else get the coldest race video directly b4 the hottest
I was at that race that was brutal.
Well, earlier this year i attended the Formula E race in são paulo, simply 40⁰c (104⁰f)
I believe Mark Martin won the coldest race in the modern era at Richmond in 1990. Temperatures were in the 20s with a wind chill below 0.
What about daytona 2019 summer, my plastic bag melted
Well there y'all got cooled off by rain.
The fact that two fans died to heat is just insane, they need to hand out fred waters man
62% humidity at 94 F is a dewpoint of 79, no thanks.
I could of swore it was Texas 2017 or Texas 2022
What about the coldest race?
What was the coldest nascar race ever???
hi
imagine dieing att a nascar race wat a fail
Thats stupid, why not just get out of the car, instead he could have possibly hurt someone
If he was that desperate to get out I doubt he was thinking straight enough to make a pros and cons list of his actions.
Because Dale Sr would have beat his ass. We weren't coddled like your generation is. Lol
The accident was already happening dumbass
That was the bush races
