  • This was one of the tools that my wife bought for me for Christmas.
I think Festool went above and beyond the development of this product. It's the type of system that you install on the rail and leave it on until your completed with the project or at the end of the day.
It comes with everything you see plus it's in a systainer 3.
She bought it from Woodcraft. but there are tons of place that sell it. Some online tool stores sell it with a 1500 guide rail.
Price of the accessory kit $319.95

I hope you enjoy this video,
    Mike

You can replace the 5mm/3mm with the 5mm key on the saw, so you have everytime the connector key on hand

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Do you know if it is compatible with Makita guide rails?

Hey Mike noticed that you have tape over the intake port , Festool recommends leaving it open to help with dust extraction, what your opinion? Also the miter gauge is like the HKC saw, thanks.

That small stop you were showing do you know if it will work on Makita rails?

What is the better option? Festool mft 3 or this guide rail ?

I have just bought one of these and found the stops were not accurate. For example, the 90 degree stop was a couple of degrees out. So this means every time I want to change the angle be it 90 degrees or any other, I have to find a way to calibrate to the chosen angle. I do it by using the stops on my MFT table but this is a real pain in the neck. This is highly disappointing given the cost of this guide rail and the Festool hype about is accuracy.

It took a big leap of faith to get into , but I was so impressed by the quality, have a lot of other brands of well and they serve a purpose. All the best in your wood working adventure.👍📐🇨🇦

I don’t understand what your point is…. What are you wanting to say beside you have a lack of money for tools?

@@AaronGeller Festool is a very good product and if I had the money to spend on Festool I probably would, but I can buy other brands that would do the same job for a lot less money!

@@gtuttle4 I understand. So several things - I sometimes buy festool products from Amazon UK and Germany and I can save myself some money. I got a saw blade 45%! One of their kits that retails for $250, I am able to get $45 off on it by buying overseas and having it shipped. Also, I’ve used Festool Recon so I can get 20-25% off their tools and it’s still warrantied.
I can cut my steak with a dull knife - it’ll take longer but it does the “same job” as a sharper more balanced knife. In the same way, there are some festool tools that just get the job done way more efficiently. Even among festool fans, there’s disagreement about some tools such as the carvex as some love it but many others hate it and prefer other brands to it.

@@AaronGeller I may consider buying a recon Festool miter saw if I could. I live in the US and do not know of a place to buy Festool recon? I do buy recon from CPO, but never seen Festool recon on their website.
