Apple's benchmarks alone are so damn shady. Comparing integrated GPU performance of a chip that's meant for dedicated graphics, the 11800H, instead of something like the 1165G7 shows they're not as confident as they're making out, but then again that Intel chip gets about 80% of the standard M1 performance so it'd still be a big win for them. Plus the config of the Legion they're comparing it to has a 3050 Ti and costs around $1,000. So they're saying their best GPU can just edge out the graphics performance of a gimped 4GB VRAM card that's only in thin and light 13-14 inch devices or budget options for larger sizes. They have a good and very, very efficient product, they're just so dishonest.

I’m currently rocking dell xps 17 and it’s such an amazing laptop but Apple has been stepping up their game. Good job apple.
Anyone want to play a drinking game, take a shot when Austin says "not only..."
Thanks a lot I’m hammered now
Apple people keep talking about the death of Intel due to these chips. Look, these chips are freaking amazing, hats off to Apple's SoC engineers, but they are only for Apple's hardware. Intel will be OK; most of the world isn't on Mac.
i do have to laugh at that one Intel guy that said he hopes to win Apple back some day. Don't know what that guy is smoking. There's no going back, even if Intel dusts off their ARM license and start making ARM CPU's again, they aren't gonna get Apple's business at this point.
They need to just make this MacBook Pro with the current M1 and sell it for like $1200/$1500 and they’d fly off the shelves
2Gs is just a lot of money for people who want ports and a good display but don’t need insane performance
That's called scamming ppl lmao. Imma go sell my ps4 without the gpu for 900 bucks and call it innovation
@@legolasdf1 How is it scamming??? He's basically just saying that if Apple would upgrade the M1 Macbooks with more ports and a better screen, it'd fly off the shelves...
Wouldn't adding those ports and screen add a few hundred dollars on the M1 models???
People who can’t afford 2Gs should just stick to dongles. $40 will save you $2-$4k

I went through 8 pairs of pants 👖 Why are out at Austin can you get me one too I’ll work for you for free I live in Garden Grove California not far from Micro Center in Tustin.
If I was to buy one, the notch wouldn’t bother me at all. That price tag is pretty hefty, but if it get the performance that they are hyping it up to have, then I guess it could be worth it.
Apple really has to stop with the notch. Its pretty annoying
idk man, i still have some software from 1997 i use on a daily basis whose Mac equivalent is now two processor generations out of date

Same! I’ve been using an M1 Mac Mini in the meantime
I purchased another Macbook Pro a couple years ago but I still have my old 2012 and that was the last one that felt right to me.
@@CAHSR2020 yeah I'm still gonna keep my 2012 until it dies. It was a replacement for my lemon 2011 that apple performed like 3k worth of repairs. They gave me apple care for free after it's first attempt to fix the hopeless machine. Apple gets alot of bad press for charging alot for repairs. They stood by their product and did right for my troubles. They made it right and I can't say anything bad about them. Sure I make occasional jokes but I'll always have respect for the way they treated me.
Those prices though...
Option 1: Get an insane RTX 3090 and 5950x gaming PC with 128 GB of RAM, 8 TB of NVMe storage, etc.
Option 2: Get a decent used car.
Option 3: Get a $4000 high end gaming PC and $2000 Windows laptop.
Option 4: Get a fully maxed out MacBook.
Reply to this comment with what you'd choose.
Personally, I'd choose Option 3.
Option 4 , cuz it's a bit better in gpu but not in ram than option 1
0:00 - When you torture the Pillsbury doughboy.
Look at the price on that sht.... its insane... i can assemble a Super Nasa quantum PC... Apple fans are somethin else fr.. yall are blind..
When Apple is charging that price for the spec, nope. Far from killing PC good try.
People forget that Windows is an Os meaning you have so many different hardware chooses and customization options plus you have people who don't want to spend that much, Mac isn't like that at all and will Never kill Windows.
Also Mac is only Apple made computers people make Pcs all the time and they don't have apples hardware or software so Windows wont be killed by Mac.
What excites me most about this refresh is not actually the new MacBook Pros. But instead next years MacBook Air refresh. THAT is going to be the PC killer. If they keep it at no more than $1,100 USD. That will be the what kills the competition.
Yah, I doubt they'd go that cheap for that level of performance and software and build.
Normally, a higher performance laptop that is cheaper than comparable models is often a chonker...
All I’m really waiting to see is if they add Face ID into the computer in a few years…
“bUt mAcS aRe FoR pRoFesSiOnaLs”
Video editors and coders are not the only professionals in the world, it still cannot run software from other industries. You can have infinite performance but if you don’t have any software it is as good as a paperweight or at best a good facebook or netflix machine
It's for a specific market in which it is best in class.
Last time i was that early apple was just a fruit
In India the fully maxed out 16 inch pro is equivalent of $7900.
India can afford it with all the scams they be pulling off against the rest of the world. hahaha
No they did not kill the PC gosh do you a PCI Express 5.0 comes out next year with 14 GB a second SSDs DDR5 and DDR5 has like 50% gains over DDR4
The memory on this MacBook is faster than ddr5 memory? It's near the top end of speed compared to gpu mem(which is diff for a few reasons) but compared to traditional ram it wipes the floor
I hope that they keep the base M1 as a option at least in a air version. Just to allow possible new customers coming from PC to have a low point of entry to this new ecosystem possibly. The thing that the base M1 does so well is it gives you great performance and battery life but not break the bank. For 1000$ or less the base M1 is probably impossible to beat
Hi, Thanks for watching😊
Send a direct message right away, you just won an MacBook …👆👆
“M1 is impossible to beat”. Just wait for next gen for amd and intel
I'm one of those, the notch fundementally ruins the design for me. Ugly, ugly, ugly.
I love the look of the notch. In fact I hope the next gen models get another notch for face id.
MacOS is jut not my system, and that is why I'm so sad, because the hardware is so polished and powerful, Windows users won't get anything like this for years :( .
So what ? Buy a mac then, get familiar with the os, and ull be happy. If u so miserable with what u have now.
The performance and Apple flexing their capabilities is nice and all, but this is not the laptop for MOST people, like if you're just gonna use this device to surf the web, type some papers, and just basic entertainment purchases, it's better to get the regular m1. I've seen people around college campuses flex these expensive ass laptops just for them to not do much with them. So unless you truly need the high performance processing and graphics, this ain't it.
Precisely, my brother is doing engineering and his current older Mac can't do it at all and he thinks these are as "fast" as Ryzen, he can't understand you technically can't compare X86 to ARM, I am skeptical about them claiming the GPU is more powerful than the Radeon Pro 5600, that needs hefty cooling most of the time. I think it's runny how people act that having a Macbook is better than PC because of the name. I run a Pavilion Power and its more than enough than I need in a laptop with a 1050ti. The CPU just overheats because its well a i5.
@@samgray49 To be fair, Mac on average is better than PC... mainly cause there is just way too many types of PC...
At their peak, they are all about equally as good... it's just that they only sell higher level Macs... PC goes for all ranges...
Peak laptops are peak laptops... it's what you are willing to pay for... Mac or PC doesn't matter in that regard.
@@TheDeathmail true, but that's the good thing about PCs, there's so many to choose from that it's not a one size fit all scenario.

@himo läski homer litterly no PC manufacturing company let's you do that because it's pretty stupid from a product standpoint, at that point you're just building a PC which is a bunch of different manufacturers put together plus the Macs are systems on a chip so it's not really possible with the ARM architecture, these new Mavs are extremely good products and don't need to be customized the software was specifically designed around the hardware
But no games run on mac OS so it's a waste
If they didn't added that fugly notch it would've been good as it is, but other than that the mac is alright
The notch is not serious when you consider that in mac os there is always a black menu bar on top and with the notch on the menu bar you actually get more content under the menu bar so the notch is a plus.
@@asmc1492 look up dell xps, no notch and thin bezels
@@Hamood113 i know what dell xps is. I knows it have thin bezel. The problem is that laptop nowdays the bezel are still not thin enough. There is a forehead and a chin at the problem. Also unlike smartphones now most laptops now still have boring regular shaped display. Smartphones now have punchole and curve corners. It is one of the reasons i am excited about new Macbook pro because of its inregullar display other company will start copying and most laptops are going to be near complete bezeless by 2024.
@@Hamood113 also remember the smartphone bezeless reveolution that lead to punch hole and under display smartphones now? Sorry I missed this video. Your clips are always so entertaining ! This is very exciting news. This will give a slap to the likes of Hp with core i7s 😂 Can you install windows on these? If yes, I want one😁
Their lucky it's a top notch product but seriously this way to do marketing ruined a very pleasant reveal.
Last time i bought a macbook pro was in 2013 however I will wait to see what 2022 will offer.
IF we do have 3080 performance, silently, on battery + 64GB unified memory then I'm buying it. That would mean great performance in 3D rendering with more memory than even a 3090 has. And it's portable...
So it needs to be 7x faster for u to buy one? Jeez. Demand much?
I NEVER seen Austin this EXCITED before!!!
