  • Hello, I bet this isn't what you were expecting. in this video i show my design of a "Dual-coil mono-tube steam boiler" as I like to call it. While I am building a steam engine this is not the engine itself, rather the powerhouse for the engine.
    A steam engine is an external combustion engine meaning that combustion occurs outside the engine . Such as in a boiler like this. I will be making more videos on this as online information about these types of machines are rare.

    Very ingenious. For a steamboat, this would avoid the 30 minute warm up time. Just turn the key. Immo try this. Electrolysis can pull hydrogen from water, so the entire ocean is fuel. Never buy fuel, never wait for a warmup...

    You might consider using silver solder, instead of plumbing solder.

      I may use it in the future. It has a much higher melting point. The silver solder I looked at was very expensive though.

    Hi, 30% of comments are now about camera shake. I appreciate your efforts and really want to know more but I just can't watch this. Please consider a tripod, some basic lighting and a script.
    Don't let these sort of comments get you down. Just take a bit to research how to shoot a video and I'm sure you'll grow your channel fast. Best of luck.

    How do you calculate how much steam you are going to need to run your engine plus what ever your trying to run , will this put out enough steam to continuously run your projects ?

    Hey what if you made it a closed loop from boiler to engine to tank of water and before putting water to suck out the atmospheric pressure so as to lower the boiling temperature greatly giving more pressure. Is this possible?

      I've thought about this. However this issue is that you still need to drive a vacuum pump to initially lower the pressure and to maintain the vacuum to some degree. I believe this is the system that steam turbines use in many cases. I'll look more into it because it would increase the efficiency of the engine...

    hey buddy. so dose this make enough steam to move a car?

    • @SuperiorSandbox
      @SuperiorSandbox  Год назад

      A full car? No way in it's current form. There's only so much I can do with the funds and tools I have access to and I've been busy with college over the last 2 years which has limited my ability to improve it.
      The end goal is to power a small go-kart with it someday.
