Diamond DA42-VI short-field takeoff (71 knot rotation with approach flaps) using about 1500 feet of 3000 foot runway at Staniel Cay -- February 3, 2014.
Beautiful place. I saw your flight from Wiener Neustadt. What is your impressions when it comes to this model of Diamond? Why Diamond not Seneca for example?
The Piper Seneca is ancient technology from the last century. The DA42-VI consumes half as much fuel (widely-available JetA), has computer-controlled engines just like your car, uses carbon-fiber construction (like a Formula 1 race car) that doesn't corrode, is fun-to-fly with stick and bubble canopy, and most importantly, has the best safety record of any twin-engined airplane. I also like its curves. :-)
