You know, some people prefer these membrane gaming keyboards over mechanical.

@Ausf.D.A.K. indeed, and I am sure there is a market for membrane keyboards; however, for what you get, I'd wait until the K55 goes on sale. Thanks for watching my content and engaging. Much appreciated.

I’m one of them! I hate the loud clicky keyboards and I am a gamer. I don’t understand the people who say it’s “satisfying”using the mechanical keyboards JUST for its loud clicking noise lol
This guy seems snobby. Also, how do your fingers tire when the keys are soft? Sounds like he is too rough and tense. Then acts like his opinion is superior and “fact”. It’s just his opinion and really you don’t know until you get it yourself. Then he says stuff like “we”. No, YOU like it or dislike it. There is no “we”. He doesn’t speak for me lol

I don't like small keyboards either, my keyboards must have the numeric keypad, don't think that should be something negative, it´s personal taste.
I never owned a mechanical keyboard, not because of the price, but because I never liked the sound when pressing the keys, mechanical keyboards are too noisy. In your sound test, the Corsair K55 Core sounded pretty good to me. Thanks for the review.

@luismiranda2187 I can definitely agree with you that every gamer has a different need and I used to only buy keybaords with a 10-num, keypad. As a financial professional, it took me a long time to live without my numpad. That said, after I went to mechanical switches, I never looked back. Check out Red Linear switches as they are more quiet than a membrane switches. Corsair just launched the K65 Plus and its excellent...and affordable. Thanks for watching and posting your comment! 👍

@@Commanche_Mike Understand. These same MLK Red Linear switches are also used in the very affordable and excellent Corsair K70 Core. The K70 Core is a full-sized keyboard with th MLK Reds.

donavanventer2979 really appreciate it! Each video I make, I try to find an area to improve. For the last few months, I've been working on audio and going forward, I'm going down the rabbit hole of color correction. Over the past year, I've learned a ton and enjoy the creative process. Lighting continues to be my bane as I film in my house with windows everywhere. 🤣

70% keyboard vs full size keyboard? That isnt a con, thats is a preference. 300ml spill resistance is the selling option. What other budget keyboards have that?

@DivineCloakGaming Agree 100% with your comments! Corsair should put a "Beer Protected" logo on its box cover. 🤣 Appreciate the comments.

Your argument that the keyboard is too large is irrelevant. Some people just like having a full keyboard, including myself. Though, I did get a southpaw to preserve my mouse space. Also, you said that the membrane keys are tiring. How does that compare to other membrane keyboards. Logitech had premium membrane keyboards for years before they made the switch to something else. Those never seemed tiring.

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  8 месяцев назад

@morgan5941 thanks for watching my content and engaging! Much appreciated. As with most consumer products, it always comes down to personal preference and I appreciate that there is a segment of gamers who want the full-sized gaming keyboard experience. When I pull my reviews together, I always write with the context and trends of our current gaming market. Most gaming keyboards are getting smaller and smaller. My son plays on the Wooting 60HE...I tried it and there is no way I can game / work on a keyboard that small. Overall, the gaming keyboard trends have been skewing smaller for years and the sweet spot for me is 75%. In regards to switch types, man, I gamed the heck out of my Logitech G15 for years...fond gaming memories with that board. As with most, I migrated to mechanical switches and settled on 51 gram Gateron Ink Black 2's. By today's standard, these switches are heavy when compared to the speed, linear switches. After years of gaming on lighter, linear switches, using a long-stroke, membrane switch felt like pushing a rock uphill. They just wore out my unconditioned fingers. 🤣 Thanks agains for the comment! 👍

The only positive about this is the 300ml spill resistance

I won't bother watching the video in it's entirety your title tells me "Don't bother".
I just paused the video before it got to 3 minutes ........ I just have a simple rebuttal going off the "title alone".
Don't bother with Corsair or don't bother with anything in the K55 ? Because if hard to press keys, the clacking of a key, or anything that is mechanical pisses someone due to noise and everything related to mechanical keyboards and mice then what do you use ?
Now for personal take when it comes to anything related to a PC or Laptop if it makes the hint of noise I can't stand it. So if a user is in that camp then what about zero noise keyboard and mouse. I only use wired peripherals due to a lack of trusting wireless not to fail in the middle of something.

@davidhudson190 Corsair makes decent keyboards, just not this one. The Corsair K65 Plus is an excellent 75%'er. My daily driver is the Asus ROG Azoth, but I regularly test new keyboards and have two in rotation on my gaming rig. As for productivity, I'm testing a NuPhy and another brand's pre-release keyboard. If you are looking for the quietest keyboard, I would go with Apple's Magic Keyboard if on Mac or the Logitech MX Keys for PC. Both are excellent membrane keyboards. Appreciate the comment! 👍

I like silent keys too. The Logi MX Keys Keyboard is very quiet!!! I had it for about 6 years. It’s not for gaming though so my WASD keys started to feel weird to press and then my A key became unresponsive. So I’m looking for a quiet gaming keyboard now. This guy just seems like a snob and thinks his opinion is the only opinion that matters and everyone should just listen to him 😅

@@zaraheart Appreciate the feedback and this video is just my opinion in a vast ocean of K55 reviews. By no means should I be the only opinion gamers look to when it comes to product reviews. Gamers should watch a few reviewers and compare contrast the reviews. In regards to my scripts, I'll take another review so it appears more objective. 👍

@@mynusten nice, also I want to give you some good tips for your channel! Your videos will improve greatly if you do some nice color correction like other tech youtubers and a more modern music on the background, and removing some reverberation and echo from your microphone, it will just make your videos feel a lot better. Good luck!
