I went in a job with heavy typing duties, and they didn't have a decent keyboard for me to use, I purchased this keyboard based only on online reviews and I have to say that I'm very pleased with it. It's a joy to type, very nice sound and feel for a membrane, and mind you, I' m spoiled by using a Logitech G815 at home.
There's zero boards out there that are RGB and spill proof and at this price, can't complain about that. Cool for those builders working on a budget or entry level gaming system! Good on Corsair. Good video.
I haven’t used icue in a year or so. I’m hoping it’s a little less resource heavy now. I always liked it but was amazed how much demand it placed on the system
I dont really think this review is as good as it could have been, the water test was ok, but I would have done the test in the video, and then saw how far I could push it. Guess its on ebay now for sale anyway
I like the effort you put in, just read another comment from a bloke who wanted this tested in a surgery environment. Just found the channel a while ago - some mad comments in here !
I liked how you did the spill test live on camera, was enough liquid to be realistic too. I know some people are saying you should have just empted the whole thing over it, but you would rarely do that if you had a spill. unless you had a litre cup with no top and you just dropped it right on the top of the keyboard. not realistic at all.
I was half expecting the board not to be working after pouring half a glass of water over it. Glad you did it - I can tell you dont care about getting freebies from companies - good to see !!
I can't see me moving back to membrane after years of using mechanical keyboards, it would be a big downgrade. Surprised you seemed to like this so much
Good review mat, but you only poured over maybe 100ml I think,I would have liked to see how much water it would have taken before failure, like 500ml , then clear it, then try again. But im being harsh I know
I thought this was a good review and covered a lot of the bases, but would like to have seen you empty the whole glass over it, even if you had to do it in a sink so you didnt get water all over your desk
I had my logitech keyboard fail recently, could do with a new board but hate spending the fortunes they charge now, but want iCUE this seems like a good option
I wouldn't have thought about getting a membrane keyboard, but switches in my last two keyboards have failed and I am getting sick of it, are membrane more reliable long term? I am quite heavy handed I guess
Corsair and Razer make some good products, but their product tax for the name and branding is just too much now. I mean look at Corsairs keyboards generally, and Razers laptops!
Yes! As a millennial dad who games this is exactly the kind of stuff I need companies to start making. My son will love this.
Awesome, its a good price too
You and me both !
I cant believe corsair sell something this cheap, its so unlike them
It’s not really that cheap for membrane but for them it is. Nice entry level
It’s a big market. Good to see them releasing some affordable mainstream products
I really liked the spill test, you didn't chicken out
Was a good test. Could have used a bit more water imo to properly test the claims of 300ml
I bought this keyboard and Im really happy with it, I never really liked mechancial switches, so I guess im weird
Good review mat as always
Thanks
The water resistance feature is really good!
Certainly helpful yes
@@KitGuruTech 💝💝
The spill test gave me goosebumps
I might pick one of these up

Really that good. Amazing to hear
Thanks for sharing
Im picking one up too, its a minor spend for me, just want to see how membrane keyboards feel in 2024, been a long long time since I had one
Good feedback man thanks
I like iCUE - you only miss it when you try other suites
Corsair software is pretty solid most of the time
Yes it gets a lot of hate but when you try other packages they tend to be quite bare
That’s a pretty good deal. Targets a budget market well. Don’t know what people expect for 40 dollars. My lunch cost that today.
You must eat quite well 😀
I’ve been waiting for Corsair to make one of these. That’s my brothers birthday gift sorted. Thanks 😂👌🏻
Good news

Good video.
I like Corsair as a brand, always had a lot of good experiences with them and I love ICUE. thanks for the review KG
I haven’t used icue in a year or so. I’m hoping it’s a little less resource heavy now. I always liked it but was amazed how much demand it placed on the system
It’s got better over the years
Corsair have never been very reliable for me, but i liked your spill test, was good to see people actually testing this
I like the room you take these videos in, its very bright and happy looking
Corsair software is good, they are working on it well over the years
It’s improved a lot over the years
@@KitGuruTech Right!
I think the thumbnail was great, it got me watching this video, and the spill test was very helpful, I might buy one
Glad it was helpful!
Well we can see the water protection works, great testing
Thank you!
@@KitGuruTech Welcome!
The RGB isnt wonderful, but at this price, its a pretty high value for money product
It’s not bad not per key but you wouldn’t expect that at 40 bucks pounds.
@@KitGuruTech oOkay!
I thought this was one of the best peripherial reviews ive read in years Mat, you clearly put some thought into the testing, thanks man
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
@@KitGuruTech Welcome!
That’s a solid review mat. You look quite tired. Hope all is good 👍🏻
All good
I like the fact its full size
Yes it’s nice to see sometimes. We like a good numpad ourselves
@@KitGuruTech Yeah😁😁
Thanks Mat for the superb review
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 😀

Love the spillproof feature on the K55 Core!
The RGB customization on this is insane for the price! 🔥
I like the effort you put in, just read another comment from a bloke who wanted this tested in a surgery environment. Just found the channel a while ago - some mad comments in here !
Say what lol I can’t find it 😂
Yeah guy called Quentin. Wanted to know how it would work in surgical and other non gaming related environments 🤷🏻♂️
Wow just found that comment. That’s funny 😅
Quentin is usually good with his responses in fairness but this one just looks like he had a bad day 🤐
Surgery is all about the rgb
Enjoyed this review mat thanks for the hard work mat 🤘🏻
My pleasure!
Thanks, Mat for the review, was useful, even if I can never see myself buying a membrane style board ever again
Happy to help!
@@KitGuruTech 😀😀
K55 core seems a winner, but I am not sure about Corsair as a brand
Why you mean rma issues you had or the icue software or something else ?
Thanks for the review Mat, its very good
Thanks
@@KitGuruTech Welcome!
Corsair nailed it with the K55 Core. Spillproof is a game-changer! 💦

Its hard to cover every base, was just a part of the review.
I love waking up to a kit guru video. Time to make some coffee ☕.
Good morning!
me too ! ive some whiskey in mine - wonder if its whiskey proof.
Good board for the money. I’m not a Corsair fan as such but this is hard to knock. Considering you also get into the ecosystem. Icue is good
I had a cup of tea 😂
Don’t spill the coffee over the keyboard 😂
Its good to see companies still selling some membrane boards and not charging fortunes. I have seen cheaper, but Corsair at least let you use iCUE
I like this keyboard, not sure id change my current one to switch, but its pretty well thought out overall
Design is good, I dont think its boring Mat at all !
Mat I see some people saying 40 is a lot for a membrane board, have you tested any competitors at this price point?
Finally, a quality keyboard that doesn’t break the bank! 💰
Thanks for the review mat
No worries!
Membrane boards are such old news, glad we moved to mechanical switches
Hey Mat, thanks for the review, the water test was very useful for me, my last keyboard failed when I spilt diluted juice all over it
Spillproof feature is a lifesaver. Awesome review! 👍
Corsair K55 Core is a steal at this price!
Turned out great ⭐️
Corsair would be pleased to hear that
I like your background in the videos, its a heck of a gaming room you have
Thanks
@@KitGuruTech Welcome!

It felt very wrong doing it - but the board took it like a champ! :)
Hi guys are you going to review some of the other corsair hardware from Computex soon?
We hope so in the coming months yes.
Can't believe this is spillproof for only $40! 🖥💧
I can't see me moving back to membrane after years of using mechanical keyboards, it would be a big downgrade. Surprised you seemed to like this so much
Have to hand it to Corsair for trying to get a budget product out
It’s competitively priced for sure
Great value for a spillproof keyboard! 💧💻
I think so too!
Just ordered mine. Can't wait to try it out! 😍
Love the RGB on this budget keyboard! 🌈
Perfect budget keyboard with spill protection.
Is this the best board under 50? must be in the top three
It’s pretty good yes
What are the competitor options for membrane? Logitech make a few I know
Is this keyboard available now?
Best budget keyboard out there! Thanks for the review.
Perfect for my gaming setup. Great review! 🎮
Corsair charging under 50 bucks for a keyboard with RGB, im surprised and pleased to see it - but membrane isnt for me
Hi Mat, is the keyboard still working ok after the water poured over it? Have any of the keys started partially working?
its still working yes.
Is this a keyboard you would keep and use Mat? or does the bargain price really impact it overall?
Yes mat quite liked it but there is a review coming shortly of something that will blow your mind
@@KitGuruTech Great!!!
Beer would be a more apprpriate spill test seeing as Johnny Vegas is presenting.
Ouch.
Very beautiful
so are you 🥸
Affordable and durable - Corsair K55 Core rocks! 🎉"

Corsair never disappoints. Great budget option! 👏
Solid choice for gamers on a budget. Thanks for the recommendation! 💸
Hey I like this. At the price. Looks solid !!
It’s pretty good yes
My brother is buying this, thanks guys
You're welcome! Hope he enjoys it!
I like this channel, just found it recently, just subbed, thank you
Welcome aboard!
Hi Mat, good job on the review
Thank you
I thought this was a really good review, I liked the water test, some people dont show that side of the testing
I thought this was a good review and covered a lot of the bases, but would like to have seen you empty the whole glass over it, even if you had to do it in a sink so you didnt get water all over your desk
I wrecked my last keyboard spilling cola over it, this might be a good buy
Water is very different to sticky drinks
Yes correct !
@@KitGuruTech Hmmm
Using the K55 Core for a month now, and it's fantastic! 🥳"
Great to hear!
This is great value and a fair and balanced review mat.
Thanks !
Nice to see more budget products from a top brand, Razer take note
Wow finally Corsair made an affordable
Keyboard. Membrane for the win !
Good job from Corsair with this one
Thanks for the visit
I just read a comment here about Corsair having poor RMA, has anyone else experienced this lately? I like getting good customer support
I had my logitech keyboard fail recently, could do with a new board but hate spending the fortunes they charge now, but want iCUE this seems like a good option
How long did you spend testing this Mat? just curious, do these reviews take weeks?
Usually a week or more.
@@KitGuruTech I will be waiting!!
I just bought a new logitech, moved away from Corsair again after an RMA disaster I had last year. Cant see me coming back to them
I wouldn't have thought about getting a membrane keyboard, but switches in my last two keyboards have failed and I am getting sick of it, are membrane more reliable long term? I am quite heavy handed I guess
I have had issues with icue a lot over the years
crashing or just not happy with the performance? it has improved in recent years a lot
Has iCUE improved any recently? It was quite buggy the last time i used it so I tend to opt for open platform software now
Corsair and Razer make some good products, but their product tax for the name and branding is just too much now. I mean look at Corsairs keyboards generally, and Razers laptops!
That was a good spill test, more than Corsair would have liked !
Think it’s rated to 300 ml
Glad you liked it!
Corsair's RMA is a mess, had a Dark core mouse fail, I got very little help.
Really? Where are you located?
I think ill get one ordered for my gaming room as a second board
Great picture🤩
Not sure if this is spam or not but thanks I think.
icue support and all this for 40 bucks is great
RGB seems limited, but I dont care, seems like a good deal
Good entry point into the gaming sector with icue support yes
40 quid for that? wow, I was shocked to see the thumbnail price
Spill resistance 😮 welcome to the office 💪🍀
Membrane works for me better than mechanical as I suffer from RSI, people dont mention this much
