I felt like you guys started this series just for me. It started right after I got the first piece for my ar10 and you've been a tremendous help since! Thank you!
Very timely! I recently purchased my first 308 (Ruger SFAR). After 60 rounds, my shoulder felt and looked like I went a few rounds with Mike Tyson and he only punched my right shoulder. LOL. I began shoftening the punches with a thicker recoil pad. After asking some questions and doing some research on my own, I learned that the buffer of the SFAR is compatible with the AR15. I have a H2 buffer on order to further reduce the puches to my right shoulder. I will be re-watching this video as I begin outfitting my 308. Thank you for this timely video.
Had a buddy over last night and I helped him build his first. He skipped ar15 and went right to the trouble child ar10. we got it 99% done, just missing one thing!
Get the hardest one out of the way first, I like it! Please don't tell me you missed a trivial little roll pin or detent? Thee parts that hurt the worst when not be able to finish.
For hunting and range enjoyment I find the scopes in the adjustable power range of about 2.5x to 15x in SFP is a good choice. Second focal plane makes it easier to use the low power setting when hunting. When using the highest setting at the range I'm at 1 MOA per hash division.
Thank you for making this videos and the one for AR 15. Lots of valuable information that I learned as I venture on building AR platforms. Do you have a build list for this AR 10? Thank you again.
I'm confused about the adjustable buffer. I know they offer extra tungsten weights to make it heavier, but how can it be made lighter? Does it work with only two weights installed? I have an M&P 10 and they seem to be lighter gassed than most DPMS guns. (It also uses a different length tube and buffer but I'm looking to replace those with DPMS-standard ones.)

Nice! Keep your eyes out. I'm pretty sure some upcoming vids will specifically feature that SFAR!

Can you extend the giveaway until the WA state AWB is blocked by the courts????
Don't worry, if the winner is from one of those "oppressed" States...we will work out something different if needed. :)

With the adjustable buffer you can go heavy or light depending on how the gun is cycling.
