@Mauricia Barnar Yes they make you pay for all of the food as well as any additional equipment that you need that they don’t provide. Also it’s a huge waste of money, they told me I had no funding and tried to make me pay them $2,000 so I could attend so I just said nope and I dropped out. It’s not worth the stress. And some of their chefs are so rude, I had one that was just a complete self absorbed asshole. But some of the others were nice, but if you’re thinking about going there, please don’t.
I am at that point. Just enrolled and super excited. But my sister who researches everything. Found out that this is being done online for a lot cheaper
Congratulations to you sweetheart. I love your nails however; nails are definitely, not for Culinary of any food or baking. Just some FYI. I’m a long time baker and I cook really good too. I already have a cake business dklcakesandpies I’m super excited to have just enrolled into Escoffier as well. Good luck to everyone.
Yeah I’ve had experience with this issue, I had nails on before I even was enrolled and the chef told me I NEEDED to cut them off even though they are GLUED to my real nails and it would cause an injury to all my fingers if I did that. I ended up finding a way around it by talking to the higher up chefs but this school ended up being terrible and I didn’t even get to start my classes because they told me I didn’t have any funding so they wanted me to pay them $2,000 and so I ended up withdrawing from the school
yeah i started ICE yesterday and before i started, i just took my nails off so they wouldn’t have to say anything to me 😂😢🙄 i do miss my nails but it’ll be worth it by the end
So how did it go did you graduate with certificate or degree? Did you get a job yet working with food? 2 of my friends did this and still stuck looking for new jobs. They only got knowledge, piece of paper and crippling debt
I’d love to see an update! How are you liking the school and everything? Would you recommend it to others? EDIT: I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!!!! There is the worst communication between office administrators. They called HUNDREDS of times asking for the same information which we gave every single time, they even told me they didn’t even bother to look on my file to see if the information was given. It’s overall a very bad school with a couple good chefs to help teach you.
@@madi9443 thank you so much that would really help with my Decision. I’m think either escoffier or the CIA as my top choices. And I have a few years till college so I have time to plan I just want to get my budget ready
@@keziahelaine9731 it’s really good to be looking into these things ahead of time, you can always call administrators at schools you’re looking into and get more information as well.
@@keziahelaine9731 Hi! I wanted to tell you I just got officially enrolled in Escoffier and I start this Wednesday (August 18th) so far the process has been difficult. I take blame for that, because I’m using a GI bill (if you don’t know that that it, the military pays for my schooling) and I assume that they don’t deal with those very often. But some people at the school have been very helpful and others haven’t helped much or at all but I feel it’s going to be that way anywhere from any business or school, I know it’s been a little while but I thought I’d give you an update! If you’re still interested I’ll reach out again and tell you how the schooling itself is going
@@faizaahmad1746 for me it’s around 16-17,000, however I do have the help of a GI bill from the military to help pay for my schooling. They offer financial aid for students as well. It’s an accredited school as well, so if you ever wanted to attend another school with some your credits would transfer over with you. Different programs have different costs. I decided not to get my associates in baking and pastry but instead I’m get a diploma in baking and pastry
@@faizaahmad1746 don’t spend $17,000 on a cooking class, that doesn’t have instructors face to face because your stuff may look good but taste wrong and picture can’t feel you that. It’s really more of a scam for Poor people to get them to make payments for the rest of their life on $17,000.
I got to the same school. We are all online and they send us our chefs coat and our kit, the kits themselves are different depending on which program you are in.
