    XHP custom trans tune took my stage 2 F90 M5 60-130 from 7.6 seconds down to 5.3 seconds. Quarter mile went from 10.7 down to 9.65. XHP is worth every damn penny they charge and the Custom Tune service is top notch with 3 revisions.

    Was thinking about it for my 8hp51 (g20 330i) but I don't know if it will be worth it. I'm already on drag mode and the car seems to shift very smooth and under limit even driving at 7/10ths. My problem is the feeling of lagginess and being in the wrong gear/rpm..just don't feel like I'm in the right area of the powerband.

    My tuned N55 likes to be short shifted, its fastest when shifted at 6500-6600 RPM.
    I just got XHP last week, flashed it, brought it to the strip

    Another great video! I'm going upgraded hybrid turbo and want to stay under 600HP on my F22 B58 to avoid possible trans slip. I'm already running stage 3 xhp and wondering if a custom tune with higher line pressure would help against slip and maybe clutch wear? What are your thoughts? Also, you recommend Adrenaline speed shift in our card? I heard it will extend trans life while minimizing slip.

      It’s the torque that matters in regards to the trans, hp is free range. Pure Drivetrain Solutions - the ZF pioneer - came out with a release not to long ago on what they’ve been seeing. While XHP may help slipping, they’re seeing excessive wear on trans running xhp. It’s on their website if you wanna check it out.

      If you're under 600hp then it's not likely that you're seeing enough torque to slip the trans. You should be fine.

      @BoostleakTV just spoke to xhp today. They claim the line pressure increase actually reduces slip and clutch wear. So maybe it's still in a safe tolerance. The faster shifting in stage 3 could be a problem but who knows. Xhp isn't admitting anything of course. They also said 600wtq is probably the max for the 8hp50 if not less. They said it would be best to reduce torque in 6th gear and they only recommend zf transmission fluid.

      @kern417 xhp said 600wtq is pushing it on these transmissions and it could slip. It depends on the health of the trans and how soon the torque comes on in rev range. Dme tune determines a lot here too.

      @@brakthru2 sure it protects the clutches but it wears out the entire trans. Go read the BMW TCM Tuning article on the pure drivetrain solutions website - under the blog section. Written by the people who know the ZF better than anyone else on the planet.

    Kern, my man you have been an amazing source for info for the B58 platform, but first things first, PLEASE get a bit of a better mic. I would love to be able to hear the information more clearly, and I think your views would increase as well. Something even like a Blue Yeti would be great! Apart from that, any recommendations for suspension mods past coilovers for my RWD M340i?

      - Rear subframe bushing inserts
      - Front M4 LCA & TS arm retrofit vs. various press-in bushing replacements for stock arms if wheel/tire is a tight fit (powerflex makes adjustable bushings for stock arms both LCA and TS)
      Also no disrespect but I hear him just fine

      Luckily it can be setup so it only activates when WOT in certain driving modes.

      @@kern417 With custom tune or on OTS? Drag mode feels like it is always delivering smooth and powerful torque, but the shifts are annoying. Just your toe on the throttle and will kick as it upshifts.

      @@martinkozlowski3532 ots. That's a characteristic of stage 3 in a lot of scenarios so that's why i stick with stage 2

    DCT swap only works on N55 ?

      It's very plug-and-play because that combination came from BMW in the M2. No b58 came with a dct but I'm sure with enough work you could make it happen.

      Lamik is aftermarket controller which is levels above xhp will ever be.
