I pulled my housings out of my 2010 without pulling the bumper all the way out, but I am upgrading to platinum housings soon and will take it all the way off. Thanks and this is helpful, good burp @ 3:48 from your helper by the way haha!😂
for those asking why he took the whole bumper off. The title of this video is: DIY- FRONT BUMPER AND HEADLIGHT REMOVAL. Front Bumper "And". Its not titled how to remove a headlight. Good video bro. Also front bumper removal takes about 15 mins.
Very good and clear demonstration. Must admit, this is one the best on YT thus far, on this subject. You really should make more videos as people generally either mess up on too close scene, too much camera move (Best way to induce vertigo for the viewers) or lack of a clear voice to explain. Then others that talk too much and redundant. You make it very well and right to the point, just under 7 minutes. *Please make more videos like this* . Having said that, I also must admit about that good burp @ 3:48 that must be doing something with bottle at 4:07 :-) ( :0) . If I ever see you, you will have the Bud, Heineken or Corona on me. Or better, you can pick up what you like in near by "Rock & Brew"! The sound of train makes me to think you should be somewhere in So Cali area, likely in Valley. Anyways. I was here to see how I should remove my drive side headlamp to change the Xenon bulb (As crazy as it sounds), as a few clips on YT says you need to do something with bumper as well to get into light unit removal, but guess got better visualization and identification of what I need to do next. Things I additionally admired was using carpet under Caddy (Luxury coming with right class). I should follow this and loved the idea, though you might have substitute that cleverly for the Mechanic's creeper. Then 2:02 That RIP but never forgotten Datsun banner and finally your advice to use one of those magnetic screw holder bowls & organizer. Long story short, you have one more subscriber and two big thumbs ups. Cheers and please don't forget to make more YT clips. You have that mojo.
I just took out the pins that hold the fender liner in. Unbolted the 1 bottom bolt on each side and the 3 on top and took of the grill and it came out. No need to undo the whole bumper
Damn. Does the bumper have to be completely removed to change out the headlight assembly? Can I just loosen the wheel well guard/cover and reach in and loosen that bottom headlight bolt?
Do you have to remove the entire bumper just to REPLACE a headlight assembly? I want to replace my left assembly but it's just me solo, disabled veteran, but a man that should not have to pay $$$ to do this!
Over kill you don't have to loosen up your bumper you only need it get to that single bolt that hold your headlight tab that come from the light!...lol this shit is crazy!!oh yeah you have to take all the bolts of the top of the grill all the way across the top because it will loosen up just enough to wiggle the headlights out.
The entire bumper was removed in order to remove both headlamps... the video was just to show how it was done.. Thanks for your 2 cents, now I have a whole dollar.. thanks for watching 👌🏻
Question for you...reply to Michael5385 at yahoo.com.....Do you think the 2015 hood and fenders would just bolt on easily....I can add the 2015 grill assembly afterward..
One of the clearest, most straightforward, no BS how to videos I've seen in a while. Thanks -
