Great video...was thinking about doing this myself just to feel mechanical and you just made me 100 percent sure i won't definately going to pay to have it done lol
Thank you, I literally watched three or four other videos and they weren't as easy and specific to follow like yours wasted two hours because of those other videos then saw yours and did it in fifteen minutes
Successful end product👍 Couple tips for next time... Since you already had the grille unbolted and the wheel wells disconnected, all that was left was one 10mm bolt each side of lower bumper. Then pop out turn signal/fog lights while you're there. Whole front end comes off and leaves you with acres of space and no worries of scratching the vehicle (and yourselves). This also keeps you from having to mess with the auxillary battery tray, therefore less bolts to mess with overall.
Thanks for this video. For others attempting this, that bolt that is hard to get to at the bottom, you do NOT need to remove that completely. The mount on the headlamp assembly is split, not a closed loop, so you can just loosen it and slide it off. Save yourself some headaches and leave it on.
Removing the 2 side bumper bolts makes it much easier to reach the bottom bolt, plus the headlamp assembly comes right out without a scratch. Armature solo replace took 1hr =)
I commend you guys on your project, I wanted to change out mine but I've decided just to sell my Escalade as I can get more than I paid for it right now and I'll just save myself the grief
1:35 does anybody even know why that plate is there ⁉️it looks like a battery plate for the battery to sit on but the Battery is on the complete opposite side of the car 🤷🏼♂️
that's exactly what it is a battery tray. Some GM Trucks/Suvs have this in place to install a second I have the same on both my Tahoe and Escalade. I just did a quick search on youtube and here's the first of lots of links that came up on the subject. ruclips.net/video/c0h1QOdFUxI/видео.html
Dude I pulled the first 2 bolts, hit up RUclips to see what was holding it. Wow great video guys. Thanks for saving my afternoon. I will regroup and plan an attack. Seems best to both while I’m in there.
antonio Tejeda amazon or eBay offers the light! Just make sure to enter your year make and model and options will all be available. We specifically got ours off of amazon!
Isn’t that about the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever seen in your life? You have to jump through those many hoops just to change a headlight. That’s insane. In my Chevy Tahoe there’s 2 long L pins on each side. You pull those pins and the whole lens will come out with little to no effort. No tools involved
Gussssh. Now I understand what the hatters of this car are talking about. Mine has same exact (Painful) driver side burned out and now I am thinking to change it at all or tolerate! WHY can't these idiots make its as simple, efficient and easy as Denali Yukon, where I only have to turn two long rods, 45 degree counter clock and remove the entire light assembly away from the car, without touch anything else or even screwing or using a tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GM go get more wisdom and have a visit to Emerald city, to check with Dr. No Mr. No The Wizard of OZ!
You don't have to remove all of that stuff to get to the headlights. I remove nothing but the rubber cover that go over the housing of the lights. I can change all three bulbs in less then 5 minutes. All of this is unnecessary and time consuming.

This video made me realize how difficult replacing the bulb on my Escalade really is 🥺 yup…looks like I’ll be paying someone to do it for me.
You can replace without removing parts to the bumper and fender panels. Just remove the parts under the hood behind the headlight. Takes about 30mins

Absolutely the best video on this task!
Great informational vid. I am in no way a mechanic but this and a couple of others saved me about $300+. Thank you!
Crazy that they design these vehicles to prevent basic repairs. I have one light out and have to pay jist to replace the bulb
Right

Thanks, did it myself, cracked the hidden bolt plastic part on the light. Super glued it, let sit and dry, put it back together and was solid🤗for now🤔

Good video man. Where do you get this replacement bulb?

Ok thank you appreciate.
Does the middle light ever turn on? No right?
The middle bulb comes on in the morning for me at least.. I'm trying to figure out why there's 6 headlight bulbs on this thing lmao
It's your daytime running lights
What site did you find the bulbs
Amazon
Jeezuz, all that just to change a lightbulb? I never had to do all that with any of my other vehicles. It was a simple replacement
What to u see how much the bulb cost at auto zone
All that hassle and you didn't change the dull yellow daytime running lights 🤦♂️ good video though.
Great video even better jersey! Hajmo bosno
Looks like $200 well spent.
What kind of bulbs did you use?
TJ Cummings Amazon, the owner of the vehicle purchased ahead of time
White power sign to match the color of the car?
