Raph and Mikey are flipped around. If you pop the heads off, each one has the first letter of their name on the bottom. Love this set so much. Glad you got one.
@funkinfungoid00 yeah, if you pop the heads off you'll see the specific turtle's first initial on the bottom of the head. Even their photographer screwed up Raph & Mikey.
Literally was about to tell him that 😂😂😂 so crazy that people don’t have the common sense to see that Mickey is always smiling and Raph is always mean muggin. Shame on Neca for dropping the ball in the factory to not know what head goes where. Smfh
The best thing about this release imo is that Absolutely fantastic new box art by Kevin Eastman! He even used the old school duoshade paper that he and Laird used to draw the original comics on! That belongs on a wall!
I was lucky to find these at target and I love them. my only gripe is that the sai prongs aren't spread quite wide enough to properly accommodate raph's fingers.
They should have kept the red masks for every iteration of tmnt and never changed the colors for kids. Imagine how different the last 40 years would have been 😂
Mirage TMNT, with all red masks & same bodies are THE BEST versions. You discover their differences from weapons & personalities. Much more interesting & clever than silly letters on belts & various colors
The colors changing in the cartoon was too help out the animators- though there are still plenty of mistakes in the 87 show where their voices get flipped around
@@funkin-fungoid The cartoon changed stuff to benefit young children who watched, they were the target audience. Obviously the original Mirage Comics TMNT was definitely dark & dirty. It’s wild how they went from that to super kid friendly..it made them way more popular but alas..not better ;)
9:03 I know you mentioned it in a footnote earlier, but the arm accessory is only meant to attach to the right arm, not the left. On all four figures, the right arms detach easily at the shoulder to accommodate this. But the left arms don't. For anyone having trouble detaching the arm, make sure you're doing the correct side.
So in love with these turtles, they inspired me to get crafty with a dio display for them. I wish they had all hand styles for all the turtles and maybe a few other random accessories would have been great. But yeah otherwise I'm a happy camper, awesome review bro!

Basically made my own perfect version of Mikey. My damn toys mean I do what I want with em. Dont care that some people think Mikey should be smiling or have a less scuffed up shell. I was rereading my mirage era tmnt comics and dude, it's really stunning how awesome they nailed that return to new york saga style! Waiting for someone who got thousands of those ultimate foot, the clone shredders and that zog triceraton guy to do a toy picture version of this story! ❤
I want this set so bad, will I ever come across it? Probably not, one of my comic shops has the Cartoon neca 4 pack for 200 but I honestly don't know man, Idkkkk man. I like this one more and if I pay that fucking much Id rather have these

Like others have said, you have Raph and Mikey mixed up. The weapons are packed with the wrong turtles. If you pop their heads off, each one has the letter of their respective turtle underneath.

Hey dude, Mikey is the smiley one, Raph has more scars on his front shell and a snarl. Possibly why you had issues with the arm. Cheers.

You’re having a hard time with the arm popping out because you’re trying to pop it out on the Mikey figure. You have Raph and Mikey switched up.
It's more likely he was having trouble because he was trying to pop off the left arm at first. All four of the turtles' right arms pop off easily.
