as a fan of the 2003 TMNT series, this was an absolute treat to experience
This was really good. Even though as a fan of the original black-and-white comics, which I finally only got all of in the first release of the graphic novels, a must admit that I am torn between the reincarnation, and learned by watching his master from his cage versions of splinter, having the knowledge he does.
Indeed, both are interesting.

I agree. Their origin in this story is interestingly different. Just like the original action packed TMNT show (not the goofy tmnt Nickelodeon picked up) where they fought shredder who was a rev kang robot, a cyber virus shredder, and an alien in the future (plus the alternate dimensions), no other show came to comparison to that. If this was an animated series I believe this could compete

Along side the 2003 and 2012 series, the idw comic is the best in the entire franchise. The definitive version of tmnt. If rise had a better story, it would have been on par with them.

but it is on par with them just in their own way, literally but it's easily the goofiest version of the turtles and i used to fucking despise it just because i saw an image of their designs but then i actually decided to watch it cause i started hearing pretty positive and reasonable reviews and holy shit it is easily one of the best versions of the turtles (imo) and i grew up with the 2012 series, and personally the 2012 series and Rise are my favorite versions of the turtles but the 2012 series had the WORST April just for the shit the writers tried to pull with Donnie and April and i'm sure you obviously know why that's a problem but rise April feels like the fifth honouree turtle and acts like their sister other then that, there's not much i can complain about the 2012 series

@@BowmansWorld the IDW turtles comics are amazing but the animated shows are still some of the best content from the ninja turtles from the last 3 decades and just because they're mainly kids for kids does NOT take away from it's amazing storytelling and great writing (mostly) but the IDW comics for them are still fantastic and i'm not going to discredit them but tbh i've never read any of them but hey i'm not gonna talk shit about something i know nothing about Lmao
I somewhat agree wit that like the 93 series was literally my childhood and introduction to the turtles while the 2012 series I remember fondly for it was both funny and had it's serious moments which I plan on rewatching it again cause I never saw the final season when it was airing
Never have I read a comic in my life.. I mean I've glanced at them. Never was into them.. Yet I was looking up TMNT movie. Stumbled on this and once it started I'm over 2hrs in.. It's absolutely awesome! I've enjoyed this so much, you have a gift bro. This has been so cool to watch. The stories and the way you tell them. It's given new life to the movie's I watched as a kid. I never gotten into liking the cartoons. It takes a lot for me to like something. The fact you were able to reel me in.. It's been fascinating, I'm going to miss these stories once they're over.. Thank you so much for this. You're amazing dude. 👏 Enjoyed this very much.

Man, this is my favorite TMNT story of all time! I’ve already read it all the way to the Mutant City arc, but that was where I stopped because that’s where it ended at at the time. Not ended but that’s when I caught up to it. And I was gonna wait a little while so I wouldn’t have to wait week to week. But I ended up not reading anymore of it. That’s why I’m here now lol. But man, I freaking love this story so so much!!!
This is the plot the 2023 movie should have done, not that high school bs they came up with. The fighting, the emotion, the newer villains they brought in, man this was a treat to watch. Also I love how Rocksteady and Bebop were absolute brutes in this version. The Turtles couldn't beat them in physical combat so they had to use their smarts and use their strengths against them. This version definitely had the best TMNT vs Footclan rivalry of them all.
This would be a fantastic movie

Maybe I’m wrong, but if they didn’t make the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so child friendly on tv I think it would of been awesome my opinion
it might have, but then again thats were alot of people were introduced to it, if i never saw the tv shows i would probably never have found the comics as an adult.
If it wasn’t child friendly I would’ve never have fallen in love with the turtles as a child

When will we get back into telling mature stories from this franchise again? Idw comic has went to shit since Sophie taken over. Rise was good, but I didn't care for it's story. 2003 and 2012 were the last cartoons that had complex storylines. Hope nick makes another show like them.
