The rooms are equipped with a 120cm double bed, a desk work space and have access to a shared fully equipped kitchen with lounge area and TV.

That house is amazing! Yes, Scotland is magical. The last time I was there it was blazing hot for a full two weeks - I would have preferred mist and rain.

We stayed in Constitution St - looked very much like that, adjacent a park. Walked up to Princes St etc. Our second visit to Edinburgh. Keep it up Freddie!

Which is a lot considering where you have been. I am new to filming while travelling so I am trying to put it all together. That stairwell must been on at least one episode of Rebus as he investigated the demise of another visitor to the city who had met a undeserved grisly end. Ideal for an overnight stop though

2018 we stayed in a great wee ABNB in Cramond, and easy bus ride to the west. And has a wee village, ancient churchyard and Roman garrison ruins, plus you can walk out on a causeway across the Forth. Safe travels Freddie.
My dad lives in Gairloch right at the top of Scotland, 3 days after passing my test I did Nottingham to Scottish highlands, took about 8 and a half hours in my fiat 500! I have done that journey a few times now

You’ll enjoy it. I did it first time in 1980 and about 6 times after. Last time was last year with my son me on the latest Honda cub my son on his grom. First part from the Peak District was 11hrs. Good idea with the midge hat , first time I went up I met an old guy on a 1200 Yamaha with a open faced helmet you should of seen his midge scars. I visited Woodbridge last week for 10 days looked for you in the coffee shops but obviously didn’t see you.
Amazing accommodation. Every trip an adventure from the very start. Great Royal Enfield came through for you. The Himalayan is a great bike. I have one of the final Euro 4 models and it contrasts beautifully with my Classic 500.
Pity I'm only just catching up with your problems ( been on nights ) you could have just took my X-Cape on your way up .....its got hard cases too ! Im sure the Himmy will be fine !

l watched your previous video about the Bonnies lack of parts...l have found this interesting because although l live in Spain ,myself and a friend have been effected by a lack of or backorder of parts... my friend waiting for a new barrel to repair his bike and myself have been waiting for three weeks...(at time of writing)....for scrolling indicators.... Seems to be a glitch in the system of late as in the past if not in stock a week was the norm!... l have fond memories of Edinburgh and Scotland....my wife was from Scotland... hope all works out so you have an enjoyable vacation...

Yeah, i know the pain when one summer (when bike garage and sellers have much to do) nearly the hole summer went by for fixing my, back then Husqvarna. And these days my Triump Street Triple have starting to behave odd some times. Never happened with the three last Japanese bikes. Could i have been possessed by the Triumph demon ... Hey, wait a minute. They should do a bike called Demon 😄. You take care in the summer heat and thanks for the videos. 😄👍

There’s a nice premier inn just up from the railway station that’s normally reasonably priced. Also we live in Norwich and we’ve found the quickest and often most cost effective way of getting there is to drive to Peterborough and take the train which only takes just over 3 hours into Edinburgh.
Totally agree about how useful hard panniers are, especially top loading. I found a small company in Estonia who make really good ones. Not so expensive and very tough. Enjoy your time in Scotland 😊

Agreed on hard panniers, my Rocket Touring has them, and I managed to get custom sewn pannier liners for them made by a company that has since gone out of business. Superb when traveling, just grab the bags out of the panniers where they've been bone dry and safe and carry them into a hotel or whatever. And on the road, I have one unzipped and toss in the odds and ends I don't want to have on my person (like the wallet, etc) when on the road.
I noticed that Ecosse motorcycles Aberdeen had very suitable Himmy for ya. Panniers, heated grip, crash bars, tall screen. It was £4.5k. But it’s gone, was in yesterday
I used to travel to Scotland every month or so for about 8 years for my employer. Great pubs but apart from that, as far as I'm concerned, the best part of Scotland were two signs, the first was "The South" and the second was "Departures". Only an a couple of occasions in all that time was the weather ok. From experience, if you visit any bar or pub when England are playing (any sport at all) you'll find out what the Scots think of the English.

Hi Freddie your vids are always so good 😊 I did an East Coast tour 2 years ago I stopped with sister in St Andrews then upto Thurso but had to pay £80 per night b and b and didn't even get cooked breakfast but I loved my ride no rain and no mossis on east Coast much underrated 😊😊😊
A cheap return flight ✈️ to Edinburgh might have left you more energy for the Highland gig, but nothings cheap these days. Can't wait to see Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Some of Edinburgh's tenements are actually older than Glasgow's...not a lot of people know that 🤣 Love Scotland for the open spaces , I remember England being just as spacious back in the 60's but we're now an over populated island so won't be long before the Highlands get the same treatment. That is a typical flat. My parents had similar when I was born in Glasgow. I lived in Edinburgh for a few years. Those panels at the side often open to give access to the sash system and there is usually a sset of hooks so you can hang the sash window and hinge in for cleaning. My sister had a similar one in Leith but that was before parts of Leith were being gentrified. It was rough as f in the 80s. The East coast is usually mild for midges. Wait until you get to the west😂. Try and aee if you can find a midge eating machine. Some campsites use them. You will be amazed at how many it gets in a day. Good bird food. I can handle anything but midges are mental. Even if you dont get bitten, they are so annoying. Camping uo the hills from June to September can be challenging because of them😅
Bad luck about the Bonnie. I've noticed that Triumph parts seem to be in a bit of short supply lately. Never mind...the Himalayan will fit the bill just right.

If you think England's bad for quick supple you ought to try the South of France, currently waiting for recovery back to the UK because I've been quoted 2 weeks for a chain to fit my Triumph. Even aftermarket suppliers 5 days. I would have been better breaking the chain in North Africa 😢

@FreddieDobbs I've been recovered to Normandy and will be getting the ferry tomorrow without the bike. I'm back in France next week and I'm hoping I can get the chain in the UK and bring it back with me to repair the bike. We ride down to the Wheels and Waves festival in Biarritz but never hot to the show due to breaking down. Hey ho such is life.

Great pubs but apart from that, as far as I'm concerned, the best part of Scotland were two signs, the first was "The South" and the second was "Departures". Only an a couple of occasions in all that time was the weather ok.
From experience, if you visit any bar or pub when England are playing (any sport at all) you'll find out what the Scots think of the English.
Also pubs in England can be ‘noisy’ when Scotland are playing the English 🏴🏴🍺🍺
The wood panels at the side of the window are the original wood shutters that open up and cover the window from the inside.

Hi Freddie your vids are always so good 😊 I did an East Coast tour 2 years ago I stopped with sister in St Andrews then upto Thurso but had to pay £80 per night b and b and didn't even get cooked breakfast but I loved my ride no rain and no mossis on east Coast much underrated 😊😊😊
A cheap return flight ✈️ to Edinburgh might have left you more energy for the Highland gig, but nothings cheap these days. Can't wait to see Royal Enfield Himalayan.

I have lived in houses like that one most of my adult life. The painting on the back wall is the owner of the house isn't it. Those houses look like ex tenement ones.......
Some of Edinburgh's tenements are actually older than Glasgow's...not a lot of people know that 🤣
Love Scotland for the open spaces , I remember England being just as spacious back in the 60's but we're now an over populated island so won't be long before the Highlands get the same treatment.

That is a typical flat. My parents had similar when I was born in Glasgow.
I lived in Edinburgh for a few years. Those panels at the side often open to give access to the sash system and there is usually a sset of hooks so you can hang the sash window and hinge in for cleaning. My sister had a similar one in Leith but that was before parts of Leith were being gentrified. It was rough as f in the 80s.
The East coast is usually mild for midges. Wait until you get to the west😂. Try and aee if you can find a midge eating machine. Some campsites use them. You will be amazed at how many it gets in a day. Good bird food.
I can handle anything but midges are mental. Even if you dont get bitten, they are so annoying. Camping uo the hills from June to September can be challenging because of them😅

Bad luck about the Bonnie. I've noticed that Triumph parts seem to be in a bit of short supply lately. Never mind...the Himalayan will fit the bill just right.
Should have thrown the Wingman in for some cheap accommodation! I stayed just outside Edinburgh for a month for £450 in a camper.
Would have been a great time to tour on the Versys 650 GT.

If you think England's bad for quick supple you ought to try the South of France, currently waiting for recovery back to the UK because I've been quoted 2 weeks for a chain to fit my Triumph. Even aftermarket suppliers 5 days. I would have been better breaking the chain in North Africa 😢
Any parts I’ve bought were made in Thailand so maybe that’s the issue.

@FreddieDobbs I've been recovered to Normandy and will be getting the ferry tomorrow without the bike.
I'm back in France next week and I'm hoping I can get the chain in the UK and bring it back with me to repair the bike.
We ride down to the Wheels and Waves festival in Biarritz but never hot to the show due to breaking down.
