    I never get companies who don't even have the courtesy to react to a (potential) client. By the way, you might put a rubber or silicone mat under your filament holders. The walking around of the spool could guve you problems. Great video!

      Haha thanks for the tip! Yea that filament holder is running a marathon during printing 😂 I was too lazy to fix it so far but I'll have to so something eventually....
      My plan was print only a couple of layers of the same design in TPU and glue it to the Bottom...

      @@Arne.Bornheim that would work :)

    I'm loving these videos man, the final model looks very good. I just ordered a Creality Raptor and I'm keen to see the accuracy compared to using an iPhone. Have you thought about trying out a 3d scanner?

      Thats definitely interesting! I'd love to try a 3d scanner eventually, but for this video couldn't manage it time wise....

    probably would've helped if you had more form-fitting clothing when doing the scan. I probably would've also considered setting up a tripod or any sort of brace that you could rest your hands and anything else on to minimize movement as much as possible. I might've also considered having different scans and combining them, for example having a very high resolution scan of just your face/head and then combining that with the scan of the full body. Also, having a scan of your body with your arms up (even above your head possibly) and also down by your sides, so that you could do some better merging of the arms for movement. The joints for the arm seem to currently sit in your rib cage and not actually in your shoulder. Nice video though, I don't want to criticise much but you asked for suggestions.

      Typically a T-pose does the trick…blending multiple models generally makes things worse, not better, especially for an amateur.

      @@TheOfficialOriginalChad true, it requires a little more work on the model, but in the video it looked like he had at least a little experience workign with models. Its definitely not just a scan, cut/paste, print though

      Thanks for all your thoughts! I was definitely just startint this out. In one of the later scans I had tighter fitting clothing but those scans failed for other reasons....
      Personally I think its likely worth to just get a professional scan done when trying something like this.
      and I originally considered combining meshes but i couldn't figure it out since I dont know nomadsculpt well...

      Haha yeah I was thinking of that or doing it myself.
      The good thing is you should just have to do very few colors because the shading should takes care of itself because it’s 3d, right?

    What filament do you recommend?

    • @Arne.Bornheim
      @Arne.Bornheim  29 дней назад

      Honestly I use tons of different filaments and most of them are good! As long as you buy from a name brand you'll likely be good 😊 Really depends on what I'm looking for and if there's a deal
