Fabricating Prototypes in Foam and Fiberglass - Episode 2, Laying Glass

Part 2 of a 3 part series, this episode deals with coating the foam of the prototype in preparation for laying glass, applying fiberglass over foam, and working with body filler.

You could use bondo instead of plasti dip directly on foam for a smooth surface then sand it, smooth it out, then spray plasti dip, then use fiber glass and resin.

Yeah, I’m sure there are many ways of doing it. I just wanted to separate the foam any damaging reactions with the resin and catalyst. Had the foam shrunk, distorted, or dissolved from the curing resin it would have set me back far. Good idea though using bondo as the barrier.
