- World champs practice day went and its a battle field out there...the black snake is no joke and its rough as you like... I struggled but we managed a full run at the end so enjoy some Val di sole content!

It's hard to explain that feeling of your first run down a new track to someone that doesn't ride bikes, but it's absolutely magic and watching people do their first run brings that feeling back and makes me want to get out and ride. 😅

Great riding, can barely tell how gnarly the track is until you stop and look back at it!
One small question though, is your helmet cam mount pointing off to the right a bit? I almost fell of my chair tring to lean past a tree that I was sure you were going to hit. :P
I think it might be something to do with the natural gopro offset
Whatever the gimbal's trying to do (because it feels like gimbal motion) it's not doing it right. Berm Peak did a bunch of videos a while ago that showed gopro/dji gimbals doing something similar - not pointing the right way, slow to rotate to the correct direction of movement etc
@@tommoyang I dont think theyre allowed to use gimbals at uci events, especially with gopro being a sponsor, the hero 9's stabilisation is almost gimbal like and so that could have something to do with it. I still use the hero 5 session just because it's always centred on my helmet or chest

I checked one of his other videos from this week and it looked fine. Weird as heck
Might have the horizon levelling or whatever it's called on. And the gopro try's to keep the footage in line with the horizon?and maybe it Doesn't work well in the steeps and all that. Or doesn't work well without the Max mod lense 🤷. I dunno though could be completely wrong

i think you have changed the settings on your gopro! The pov its too close up and it changed the view during runs, we cant see your tires lines and handlebar on the track!

I noticed that. I think maybe he wanted smoother footage for studying lines. Not as entertaining, but could be better for analysis.

It’s because the go pro was on the top of the helmet and not under the visor or a chesty

As we have come to expect from you BK , great stuff . I would suggest a slight lift of the GoPro so we can see further ahead , I am sure you are not looking at your front wheel all the time like the gopro is . Your bike looks mint , as does Emily's .
It looks like a track where staying out of the holes and saving energy through the slow sections could pay off in the faster sections with more pedal speed and lift off on hops over the craggy stuff .
Have you ever tried transition lenses for your goggles , I use them on my Enduro Moto , they get darker in bright sunlight and lighten up in the shade so your eyes don't have to adjust so radically , could be an advantage in the conditions you are facing .
what is wrong with the POV? The gimball floating effect is a bit strange
I don't like it either! This new Gopros have too much stabilization for my liking...
They should also do a new Gopro Session so they can mount it comfortably under the visor so we can see the handlebars as well!

Is there a reason why the footage is so zoomed in and cropped? GoPro settings are really off can barely see whats going on.
Have you tried a diff. Camera Position? Also the Image stabilization takes away so much off the speed
