  • We go on a one month backpacking adventure around Japan.
In this 2 part documentary series we travel to Japan for the very first time.
We will be travelling there for one month, starting in Tokyo and then using the Japan Rail Pass to explore the country.
Highlights of this 2nd episode include having random adventures in Osaka; getting free tickets to Universal Studios and visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter; feeding the deer at Nara; the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima; climbing to the top of Miyajima Island; cycling the Shimanami Kaido; and doing the Hakone free pass to get perfect views of Mt Fuji.

I defenitly think that these videos are probably the best travel videos you can watch, and not just the Japan series I mean every travel video that's been released, I discovered this channel around a month ago and I don't think there is many vids I haven't watched now, the narrating is what separates it from other travel videos. I think this was the first time I've actually been excited for a yt video to come out! Keep em coming!

Boys, I'm gobsmacked. A fantastic mini series, superbly shot and edited, and you've summed up in a couple of hours why I love Japan so much, and keep going back. It's an incredible country that you never really appreciate until you experience it first hand.
    Safe travels gents.

Haha your loose plan of just walking down different streets and diving in to random bars proved to be the best strategy! Those guys giving you the free Universal tickets really summed up how welcoming and awesome all the locals are over there - they really helped in taking this latest film to another level, absolutely loved it! And then on the other hand when you tried to wing Mount Kōya it didn't quite work out unfortunately, but that still gives people watching this a great idea of how they want to travel and how much/how little they want to plan...every travel series you do is so useful, inspiring and entertaining. 5 stars.
Keep on with the travels boys! Enjoy Australia Karl :)

Brilliant film-making, Karl! It was highly entertaining and beautifully shot and edited. I got emotional hearing about your heartfelt assessment of the country that really seemed to resonate with you. Though I'm Japanese-American and from New York, I feel the same way whenever I visit my relatives in Tokyo - I never wanna want to leave Japan. You got yourself another RUclips follower, and it's not just because of how well this doc was put together, it's your warm personality and heart you put into your passion. Keep up the fantastic work!

The people... The scenery... The whole experience... It all seems so incredible. I am constantly in awe about the kindness that the locals bring. The environment can be a concrete jungle, a seaside view or a snowy town in the hills. It really just impresses me. So very glad I'm heading to Japan in September.

I lived in Japan for 3 yrs 22 yrs ago, in Osaka. I totally fell in love with Japan too and its lovely to see Japan has still got that same appeal. Japan is one of the best civilised countries I've ever been too. Had a wicked time, made loads of good Aussie friends, had great parties, and beautiful places to visit. It totally brought me out of my shell. But all them yrs back, there wasn't many Japanese that could understand or speak English

Hi Karl, I just finished watching Ep 1 and 2 they were great! I never thought about going to Japan before until now. You made this tour so interesting and fun. James is a great side kick to your travel as well. The people there are so nice and happy which really makes for a fun trip without all the panhandlers shoving things in your face trying to sell. Limited leg action, but it looked a little cold for shorts most of the time. Keep your legs 🦵 up for the next trip. 🤓 Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
