Loadouts and weapon rarity have to coexist. Without weapon rarities then loadouts would obviously break the game too much. So, I say get rid of them both and return to what was working and respected. Fix this and keep everything else intact and instantly zombies will play much better and be seen in a better light. Obviously the other things I talked about in the video should be worked on. That's my opinion and thought process, y'all agree or disagree?
Unfortunately the fact that they didn’t do this already means they think the direction they’ve gone is what people want/what will make them the most money. Tbh I thought they took changes too far in BO4, so seeing the direction they’ve gone since then makes it feel like whoever is the lead on zombies has lost the plot entirely. They’ve definitely favored attracting warzone players over making their long time player base happy.
Honestly if they want to have different starting weapons/loadouts(without rarities), then copying black ops 4 would have been a great idea. A selection of weapons that were all on the weaker side, or had major downsides (the Mog 12 with its limited ammo and range). As for the rest of the game we really need to see how they have balanced it. Maybe armor is 35% less effective or all craftable item prices have been heavily increased. Im fairly excited as to what i have seen so far, and i hope Liberty Falls is map that Causals can get into, while Terminus is for the more experienced crowd. Great video btw
Yeah they should remove those from the base maps and only allow loadouts in other zombies modes like outbreak or onslaught which I think is what casual zombies players would prefer as opposed to a lore base zombies map
It's been a bummer for me too. The map looks pretty decent and innovative compared to previous Treyarch ones, but it's going to be perceived much worse than it actually is simply because of how the gameplay is. They patch that up and I just know it can make a dramatic impact on the "feel" of zombies.
I think the bigger problem that isn’t talked a lot is attachments, like some guns will be better than each other even if it’s the same gun and same rarity but the attachments would determine which weapon is the better one. You can have one with disrupting optic and the other with an extended mag
@theWheezy I'm still gonna give the game a go and see if it can win me over, since it's on Gamepass. But if it wasn't on Gamepass, it would've lost my purchase by having loadouts.
@playerslayer6923 Yeah, that's the problem. Even if you try to make the guns "equal," there will always be "meta weapons," which is fine when you just start with the pistol as those superior weapons can be made rarer and have to be earned. But with loadouts, everyone can just spawn with the "meta weapon" and just level it up. Which in turn hurts replayability.
hit the nail on the head with this video. they assumed players wanted a multiplayer type of progression system rather than the classic survival progression zombies gives.
@@Monkeyman-qt1sm such a sad truth. zombies do not drop loot… if you want more health buy jug, armor plates are ridiculous… if you want a stronger weapon then pap, having weapon rarities is absolutely pointless. these are the annoying little features that original zombies players purposely avoided.
@@_bobbles_1002no his first point could be argued rarity actually helps most people decide what fun is better most of the player base does not know which gun is better to use without rarity
@@Takazoro except that each gun has more than one rarity. The same exact gun can have different rarities, why do all that instead of giving a single weapon only one rarity like the wonder weapons? I believe that just makes it too much and the gun gets devalued. Needs to be other interesting ways to go about it, like something as simple as pack-a-punch.
in the BO6, i will remove, minimap, zombies health stats, gun damage, kill feed, player health stats, medals... and i will use a m1911 to start the gameplay
I don't know about allat, I'm gona be removing The medals and Player Cards that's about it... Maybe even the Kill Feed (Although I actually found the "Moma's Grocery List" of kills hilarious after mowing down a group of Zombies)!
I like that the hud is customizable and especially love the save quite change. But I miss cracking the knuckles and keeping everything simple and as far as making th mode more casual like starting the game with the pistol. I feel like cod6 is trying to cater to everyone. Which is fine with me.👍🤙I just hope the movement is buttery smooth. That’s all I care about.
starting weapon loadouts, armour, salvage system, ammo drops, weapon raritys, useless perks, useless wall buys. And the dumbest point system. Bro this game is just brainrot mega
I’ve never seen a downfall quite like cod zombies before. After bo3 it has just gotten worse and worse to me and it’s felt off when I see gameplay of zombies whether it be Cold War or vanguard or the bo6 trailers. It just does not do the same for me like past entries have and it just reminds me multiplayer too much, which is the only reason I bought zombies was too try and still have fun but at this point I see all other aspects have bled over to the game mode I grew up with. It’s not that it has options to remove it to my specifications it’s that it shouldn’t be there in the first place. Zombies was never about catering to every individual need to make sure everyone can like it, it just was what it was at face value and if it was too hard for you or not flashy enough than go play multiplayer. Maybe it is my time though to end with the game.
Tbf even though I haven't seen much of the gameplay (didn't want to watch the reveal because I don't want to spoil the experience for myself), I heard people say that this seems harder than cold war, so if it's balanced correctly then 'maybe', just maybe, we can get a shield made with parts in one of the DLC maps
@@chuyyou Zombies youtubers who played early have quite literally stated that this is much harder than Cold War, and the developers have also said that the Easter Eggs are purposefully designed to be harder. They also said that there are apparently new mechanics at higher rounds which are supposed to make maps like Terminus some of the hardest Round 100 maps ever. All this info is available to search for but you instead assume the worst and comment about it on every BO6 zombies video you can find, lmfao.
they could balance loadouts if they make wallbuys and mystery box guns the same rarity but higher than the starting weapon, maybe make wall guns a tier higher to keep wall weapons viable
I feel the same way about the rarities, I'll see a purple diamatti and instinctively grab it over my green gallo even though I know that it's a much worse weapon, it makes the mystery box a lot more confusing. It definitely helps that by round 40 you're almost guaranteed the highest rarity but at that point it doesnt really matter
I like that I can spawn in with a gun im working on leveling up but Just spawning in with any gun kinda kills the progression. You start weak and vulnerable to then slowly build up your power and guns throughout the rounds. That progression works great and has flow. Spawning in with a lmg with full attachments kills the whole vibe.
I think main issue is that we can upgrade the rarity of a weapon meaning you instantly at the start of a match already have the gun you want (except for wonder weapons). When it comes time to upgrade it it has already gotten a bit weak so you don't really feel the power increase and having 3 pap levels and pap easy to achieve makes each pap level a bit underwhelming. Not having "forced" weapon variety each game makes it boring.
The best loadout system that incorporates grinding well in my opinion was actually black ops 4. You could level up your weapons and grind camos while still keeping the mystery box and wall weapons fully viable. You could start with stronger weapons such as shotguns, rifles, and smgs but you were limited to what you could choose to prevent being too overpowered at the start of the game. That aspect of bo4 made infinite sense to me, as for the perks, storyline, and ui, that’s a different scenario. But the perfect zombies mode to me would be black ops 3 ui, storyline, and perks, with black ops 4 loadout system. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on this though
@@neko8074that’s not the point you do understand that with the load out system deafeats the purpose of mystery box’s doesn’t even makes sense to have it in the game
@@AmyCherryLMAOeven when you could earn points the gun was fucking worthless in the first place seriously a Springfield does more damage than the fucking 1911 there's no point in having the 1911 you're going to use your knife through most of the rounds anyway what the fuck you complaining for
I feel like the Pistol issue can be fixed easily if they bring back the original Point system along with adding Mustang and Sally back. Personally i want Wall Buys to be good again, i feel like every wallbuy should be rare at the start. CW didn't have that progression that you used to have in BO2 at the beginning of the game, but once once you get to round 10 it's where the Progression starts unlike BO2 where after round 10-15 you can be fully set up. Hopefully they do something with it and make it better.
Another way the progression is broken is in the fact you can take your starting weapon with you from round 1 all the way to round 50+... No need to hit the box or even buy wall weapons. Just start with the gun you want and go on. That's typically how I play. Another gripe with Cold War is the hud. I turn off everything possible, but I just hope in BO6 I can also turn off the mini map and kill ticker next to the crosshair. I can already turn off damage numbers, health bars, hitmarkers, and the compass. If I could just get rid of the mini map and kill ticker, It would be so much better. It would also be cool to turn off medals, and the message that pops up when players earn certain medals on the top right of the screen.
cold war enjoyer here, but what i hate about old cod is how you hit pap once, and boom your good. i genuinely like the rarity system, as is provides multiple steps of in game growth. imagine if you were playing an rpg and you got the one and only upgrade about 20% of the way, and thats it. in cold war, upgrading my guns just feels like im slowly getting more powerful. and as for loadout weapons, all i have to say is using MY weapon feels really fun. i dunno maybe im just stupid or smthn
I think the bigger problem that isn’t talked a lot is attachments, like some guns will be better than each other even if it’s the same gun and same rarity but the attachments would determine which weapon is the better one. You can have one with disrupting optic and the other with an extended mag
If loadouts & rarities are here to stay then I think we could atleast do with these tweaks in updates: • make Pistols earn 30% more essence then other weapons at a base. Make sure this is clearly labeled to the player in the loadout menu. • make all red tier loadout weapons have half the ammo stock as normal until there upgraded to green. Also double the scrap price to upgrade specifically from red to green from Cold War. •remove all ammo caches so that an added incentive to using wall weapons is that you can buy ammo for them at there chalk • Incentivise the use of the mystery box by offering more in it. A big change to achieve this is to remove support streaks from the workbench completely and put them exclusively in the mystery box. Additionally make ‘crate power’ a drop like ‘fire sale’ instead of a Gobblegum where all boxes spawn in offering pack a punched weapons but for the normal box price. •pack a punch prices need to come down rather then tier 1 - 5000, tier 2 - 15000, tier 3 - 30000 it should be tier 1 - 5000, tier 2 - 10000, tier 3 - 15000. Half the reason no one swaps out there weapon after the first 15 rounds is cause it’s to expensive and long to upgrade a new weapon from scratch.
I just appreciated the meta points knowing how to make more cash was a big thing in completing Easter eggs in early rounds but the loadout system kinda breaks that
Wouldn’t the rarity system increase the progression process because now you have more you need to progress. Instead of the old system where you PAP and you’re good. Now you progress the rarity as well?
The new system which means: starting with your favorite rifle and just upgrading it the whole game isn't anywhere close as fun as (the old system where) starting with a shitty pistol and buying a wall buy and gambling to get a cool and good gun from the box.
@@ehdbomthis right here is a opinion but it’s good that you can decide to do both ways you can start with a pistol or for the camo grinders out there or maybe less experienced players you can start with a weapon of your choice
Technically yes, that's why I could see them implementing this idea in the first place. But it doesn't really complement the formula so well. It can devalue the weapons and make them less "cool" as nerdy and corny as that sounds. I tried making an example, but I am not the best at explaining them. During WAW, when hitting the box you're usually hoping to get a weapon such as the raygun, mg42, browning, ppsh, etc. Now you can't just look for that, now you also have to look out for the color grading on it and judge it even further. Will a ppsh that has a common rarity be better than this rare dmr 14? Yes you can upgrade them all eventually to the same level, but in the middle of your progression all these weapons are being judged by their rarity rather than the weapon itself. The mystery box scales throughout the match and the "surprise" element of possibly getting a really bad weapon or a really good one is now much more tamed. The only really good weapon you can get at the start of a match is the wonder weapon, you can't just instantly get a max tier weapon other than that one. I'm rambling too much. Yes the grind is bigger, but that's not the problem. It's the satisfaction of the grind that is being affected. You can easily overwhelm a game by adding and doing too much.
Although i love that you can customize your HUD to your liking, it'll be way better if we were able to adjust and customize every nook and cranny of the HUD elements instead of choosing presets. Nonetheless, i see that Black ops 6 is turning out to be good.
While I do miss the box having good guns and junk, imo rarity actually makes the game worth playing. I think a lot of people forget from the older zombies having all guns drop off by like round 25 and if you didn’t have a wonder weapon you’d have to use traps. Rarity and triple pap in cw made every gun usable, with still some being harder to be useable like snipers, but you could enjoy everything in the game
I honestly don’t mind the starting load outs, it makes camo grinding a bit easier.ps this is for camo grinders. The weapon rarity makes the guns more versatile so it can progress through high rounds and not rely on dead wire etc. bo6 is cold was but with some bo3 things and I think it will be a good game
@@ehdbom after u do Easter eggs what else do u do while u wait for a new dlc ? High rounds? Yea obviously but use the variety of guns ur given to do so and camo grind
I personally believe that with this modern loadout system you get max power a lot later than the og zombies. You can get a galil and doubletap by round 8 and pack a punch by round 15 and that's it you're done. The modern loadout system literally doesn't allow you to get max power that early and I respect the modern way as I started before verruct came out.
I'm curious to see how they do the save and quit feature for zombies bc I could see there being a way to exploit the game by leaving everytime your about to die and go back into the game and be fine. It depends if they have the zombies that are near you despawn when you load back in.
@@DyanDope that's good to know so at least if there is a way to cheese it you would have to leave before you take damage which would be much harder to do.
If you are below 100 health and/or zombies are within a specific distance of you then you're not allowed to save as a way of stopping people from exploiting the system.
In bo6, since we have the power to edit our loadouts and hud to how we want. Im editing the hud to be super minimalistic. No map, no medals, no healthbars or enemy names. Starting weapon will be a 1911. And since we now have the power to customize every weapon in any game im gonna me sure they little to no attachments. Unless treyarch adds a classic mode, this is gonna be how i play my games
My biggest concern with BO6 is how they are bringing back rarity along with the triple pack. Like you stated you, the new progession is trash. But having two paths to worry about is just annoying every match and made round based in cold war a chore. The upgrade system using the rare scrap is awful too. The old system was peak and the dangers of going to the pap machine is gone now too.
Nah man, my main thing is the way we progress, the pistols points with the knife at the start and the way they changed it to per kill not per kill, hit, and head shot maybe the game changer with the loadout, if they add per hit again that would be so much better tbh, with the other games at least for me, it's knife the whole first round, then a whole clip and knife in the second, and if there's ammo, I follow the health after that, aka a mag and a half then a knife, then on round 4 if I still have enough ammo in my pistol and if I can even kill them without being dumb and staying In range, it's 2 whole clips and a knife, very strategic, now, just kill, go do that and this and boom man yuh got it, oh, and every other weapons poop if you don't make it yourself bc they didn't have as many attachments so at least for me. I literally never used a single weapon from the box unless I just wanted to try it out, then the only weapons I'd have are the maps wonder weapon and my starting gun, literally always
I prefer points on kill since it gives a better reason to use shotguns and launchers over LMGs and assault rifles, because now your ammo count doesnt affect your point gain nearly as much as it used to
@@ijneb1248 yes buuuuut, the brecci, the spas12, every shotgun masically besides the obvious crappy ones, are pretty good on damage and some like the brecci are basically a demi wonder weapon, I think it just doesn't do good with the game, I wanna make the game enjoyable, not a gambling game on how many kills I can get each and everytime I play in the least amount of time with the shotguns, it becomes so repetitive and at that point its almost the only guns we can use ngl, unless you want the game to feel slow or sum, it's way better to get points by hit because then we aren't worrying about the killing as much until we have to with higher rounds and pack a punching, it became a mindless training and or camping game with sitting there each time tryna kill as many zombies as possible, at least to me, idk ab you but I like to enjoy things and in cold War, the Orion and the spas were thee only guns we could use unless we wanted to do sum, but to actually play the game and have fun, it was like you weren't looking at the zombies but how many kills I'm getting per shot or per mag and if I'm going anywhere below that, it feels slow or like I'm not doing anything tbh
For me point 2 is the most important. Zombies was always a little different than mp and ESPECIALLY warzone. Now it feels like they merge it more and more. Mwz was soulles and nothing in Zombies should feel soulles. This mode was great for what it was, now they brake it more and more, the more they merge with the other modes.
honestly the only way for the old system to work in the new games. is to have every bit of the old system come back. which means no pap 3, no killstreaks basically if all of the mechanics ain't the mechanics of Pre-Bo4 then it simply just won't work in the newer titles.
@@ehdbom sorry mate, but every bit of the old system would have to return, if just one gets in the game would be entirely different. Bring back only the points per hit? Flamethrower. That’s all that needs to be introduced in order to screw up everything. Bring back forced starting pistol? Wouldn’t change anything, meta would still be shotguns unless the point system is changed. Replace Armor with Shield? Shield wouldn’t serve much of a purpose without getting rid of some enemies entirely.
I enjoyed both, but upgrading your starting gun and having unequal guns from the box and purposely mid wall guns that allow for cheap and consistent ammo is why I want to go back. Maybe they could have a specific gun that is built to work like classic, and rework the ammo count (SMG 5-8 mags, assault rifles 8-10 mags, LMG 500-700 rounds) maybe.. I get the camo grind, but a solution to that is just have it so that over all of the different apps there is at least one of every gun on the wall
These will be the easiest zombies ever created. Therefore, everyone who is a true zombie fan will get bored in a month and go back to BO3 custom zombies.
They won't be easier than Cold War. They're limiting the amount of self revives again and you can only pick two upgrades for each perk rather than all of them permanently. It probably will be easier than BO3 but harder than all recent experiences.
Great video! And i agree with your opinions 100%. Love Zonbies but with this system its losings its core. They should ad a hardcore (old school) mode to please all fans. I hope more big youtubes from the zombie community will make their voice heard about this.
Generally I agree. However, I don't think the rarity system is in conflict with double tap. Rather that it was made specifically in mind to replace double tap. We have already been down this road before in BO4. Double tap was absent because it was integrated into the PAP system. Cold War? Second verse, same as the first. Only now it has its own progression system. Now mind you, I don't think replacing DT is a bad idea. I just think the execution is jarringly awkward. It invokes a lot of multiplayer (like AW or IW) or looter shooter vibes instead of the horde survival we've been accustom to. Where most of our ability to improve ourselves and our arsenal was tied to miniature quests. Build-ables, mask/helmets, specialist weapons, point system, they all have been streamlined. You get it off rip. It's fed to you. You get the maximum amount of points you can get per kill. You can upgrade your perks outside the game. Everything has been suffocatingly flattened.
See in bo3 we could edit our weapons for the game camos attachments. That was amazing. I feel we should start with the pistol still. We’ll get called old but who cares
Wait, do we know if the point system is like Cold Wars or is it more traditional? I really hope for the latter, at least then starting with a pistol would feel a little better if there's still going to be weapon rarities. Or they could have the option to play with CW point system or the old (better) way.
idk how activision/treyarch havent realised that zombies fell off when bo4 released and that people would like it much more if it played like zombies from waw-bo2/maybe 3
Im with the lesser bunch folk who likes the new progression system and thinks it can work. However, I felt like in Cold War, it was ruined thanks to the multitude of minor updates the devs did towards weapon damage and zombie health. Put all this on top of a system where the player could directly upgrade themselves, and you get something we have today where rarities feel meaningless. Weapons one shot for a long while and bosses can get torn like paper. Thankfully, systems like the augmentations may fix these issues. I just hope the devs can stand their ground and keep the progression system reletively rewarding. Just to be clear, I do prefer how progression was originally done. All I ask for is that if any new changes were made that they make them the best they can be.
Am I the only one that thinks PHD slider is better than PHD flopper? Flopper is in MWZ and it completely stops your movement in a game mode that is build on movement ie training zombies where as slider give you a huge slide boost to get out of sticky situations while still exploding zombies you crash into.
The mode is merely another way you can progress your rank and weapons in the game. That’s where they’ve lost it. Zombies used to be its own thing entirely, but now it’s just an alternative multiplayer mode. Hopefully they continue to trend in the right direction as BO6 is a step in the right direction but I unfortunately don’t think we’re going back. They want to appeal to everyone and with that comes more revenue, so that’s not going away. A game for everyone is a game for no one.
Before anything I want to clarify I'm a 25 yo guy, and started to play zombies in BO1 0:33 - 0:36 no they don't otherwise they'd be against gobblegums, because the most used and/or enjoyed Gobblegums tend to be the ones that skip that "Progression" 0:40 - 4:29 As much as I can understand interpreting it that way... one of my personal gripes with OG Zombie Weapons used to the iconic (Double Barrel Wallbuy) I aways hated how such a goofy and cool looking shotgun was rendered useless beyond a certain round (usually around 5 to 7), and always wished that all weapons were more balanced, Not to be confused with perfectly balanced, as in I don't want all the weapons to have the exact same TTK, but close enough to where the only (Noticeable) Downsides would be Characteristics (More Specifically Weapon Class Specific Characteristics) 100% agree with the rest though!👍
I am against gobblegums. Was hating on them before in some previous video. Though they aren't as nearly as impactful since you really do have a choice against using them without them affecting the game, only if your teammates use them which I do dislike. Choosing a starting pistol in CW/BO6 isn't the same choice because of weapon rarities. It's still a bad system and messes with progression regardless of your choice. There's always going to be weapons that could be improved upon and we wish were cooler or better. But you do also need the weaker weapons to make the stronger weapons that more appealing. The weaker weapons have their purpose and they serve that in the early game and/or with point farming. Some weak weapons did turn into something more unique even if they weren't the best, Mustang and Sally for example.
@@theWheezy The old point system sucked, it incentivized getting Water Sprinkler guns to get points in the most repetitively boring way, with the new systems you either sacrifice a couple of nanoseconds to ensure precision to get extra points or alternatively take a risk by going Melee by exposing yourself more to getting hit, thereby rewarding players: - For better accuracy - For Riskier starts - For being efficient - For being fast

There is several different audiences at this point from all the different routes they’ve gone down. You’re most likely hearing opinions from all sides and jumbling it into one big CoD community.
Look, i agree the old zombies progression system is better, but the rarity system does add another aspect of depth to the game, but it was very unbalanced and led to everyone just using their own loadouts and shotguns, now that weapon kits are back and hopefully the guns are tuned better this could still be one of the better gun systems in a zombies game
Loadouts, rarities, armor, and guided Easter eggs are all just weird changes to try and attract the player base from multiplayer and warzone instead of appealing to core zombies fans. Personally I don’t think there’s a way to balance this and make old zombies fans happy without just getting rid of all of it, but that clearly won’t happen since they’re launching the game with all these features.
@@IAmOctoberto add on to your point aswell they specifically specified that people who complete the quest using guided will not receive the same awards of people who complete it without guided so I don’t really see why OP has a problem with that

@@IAmOctober you’re right, the other things are bigger issues to me. I just meant to say all these changes together have made the zombies mode less interesting to me as a long time fan
@@ZoeyFan69 end of the day when it comes to Easter egg quests the stats of how many people in the player base have completed them have always been pathetically low and if treyarch want to implement a system where they can now still make it challenging for hardcore players but make a separate mode for casuals to still experience it after wards I don’t blame them whatsoever.
If they want weapons to have attachments, why not make a crafting station where you can spend currency you get from killing zombies, so players can add whatever attachment they want to their weapon? I didn't use mystery box at all in cold war zombies, because i don't care if the weapon is a higher rarity if it is a smg that has a sniper's scope, and attachments that slows you down while aiming down the sight.
I think the flow was unbalenced because it was rushed, they didnt have a lot of time to polish. This year they have had abour 3 years to work on it and they have announced changes to the cold war system. One i especially liked was that PAP no longer has a menu as it would pull you out of the immersion of the game and i hope they have removed menus from other things like wonderfizz and crafting tables
You take the good with the bad. Not the bad with the good. If this is the only problem with the game for you that's fine. But if you can concentrate on what you like you will have a more positive look in life and with the game.
those loadouts should work like WW2 or IW zombie personally i hated the rarity system that short period i played CW also because the gun i received a random set of attachments which i hated and never gave me reasons at all to spin the box so i stuck any time with my weapon unless i want the wonderweapon
Good for you lol. You could then relate that having a starting loadout doesn’t feel the same at all. The whole point of starting with a Shiity pistol and working your way up slowly… hell, getting past the early rounds was hard yet fun because if this as it are challenge. It’s not really fun just cruising your way to round 100 then quitting due to boredom and not because you die because it’s so hard

another thing is upgrading rarities needs to be cheaper, and box needs to have better chance at higher rarities, wall weapons should have a random chance to upgrade rarity more early on, there's no reason to hit and box or buy a wall weapon when you already spent your hard earned salvage on upgrading the guns rarity, making you play with the same gun all game especially if you choose to spawn in with it, which is most cases, and although your damage is increasing because you are upgrading your guns rarity, the zombies health is still going up, and since your using the same gun all game it gets a boring, especially if you have the super easter egg and you spawn in with a purple rarity, then there's zero point to hit the box or a buy wall weapon and yea although you can deactivate the super easter egg reward, but why would you as no one wants to shoot extra shots into the zombies in the early rounds on a game that only gives points upon kill, id prefer there be no rarities and be no weapon balance, i mean could you imagine if bo3 had this system ? imagine the Pharo and the Drakon having the same damage per second, and you can just spawn in with either and it wouldnt matter, not only that but pac a punching your starting weapon was worth it but not too op since then youd only have 1 gun slot until you got to pac a punch they need to remove the new point system, remove rarities, remove loadouts, replace armor with the zombie shield i mean if it aint broke dont fix it, literally no one complained, and not when people do they dont revert it everything else is sooooo goood tooooo
I like the loadout system. At least i can get mastery camos faster and not to deal with random mystery box weapons and just pray i get the one i want.I just prefer CW and MW3 zombies. But thats just my opinion
This issue isn't loadouts, its everything else. The rarity system, no perk limit but each perk increasing in price (which literally defeats the point lol), having no limit on what you can start with, and the worst thing ever, SALVAGE. I despise this mechanic with a passion
@@BluSou1that's what I'm saying do you know how fucking stupid it is to send in a task force to deal with zombies and you only give them pistols that's like if they only gave the soldiers on D-Day fucking shovels
Bo3 is awesome, i've finally did all 5 easter eggs the past year after being too bad for them since launch. And there is the part of why i liked Cold war, it wasn't difficult for the sake of being difficult. A majority of cod's fanbase are casuals, and i myself, even tho i played this mode since day 1 and multiple thousand of hours of gameplay, would say i'm a casual. I don't care about super complex and idiotic easter eggs like revelations, or high rounds that seem impossible without traps/wonder weapons like call of the dead. I just want to turn off my head after a long day and kill zombies and put together the few storybits i find. It's sad to see that this community seem to attack everyone who don't share their idea. Bo3 was awesome, Cold war was fun and brought long needed inovation into the mode. So a mode with the best of both worlds would be amazing, in my opinion.
I think they cater too much to the mp/wz players, zombies needs its own aesthetic and mechanics. I liked cold war and played it a lot but I didn’t think it was needed much.
Starting pistol thing has one more thing to it see when you have to much control over your starting rounds it not fells right and this dosen't really fell anymore like you getting all what helps you survive because you can lodout ypur weapons to carry you throught early rounds
All they need to do is buff the 3 pap make each pap give u a crazy buff and add double tap boom no need for rarities and also for the armor all they need to do is buff jug make it a 4 hit down without jug instead of 3 for the ppl who can’t handle that aka all the ppl who they cater to now and made jug give u 3 exra hits boom now ur a 7 hit down with jug and with the new armaments i think is wat there called u can make that stronger wonderfiz all they need to do is make it something you have to unlock maybe after the ee bc it makes having the perks on the map pointless when u can get them all from one spot simple fixes they can do to make the game better for both sides but they don’t listen🤦♂️
It seems like it's Cold War and BO3 put together just like they've mentioned. Is it 100% what I wanted it to be? No. But I am still pretty happy with what we're getting tbh.
To me it ruins the game a little bit as I always got bored of the same weapons in high rounds and liked picking a random one for the box to PAP and then do it all over again but when your high rounds every gun is a good gun and it’s just unbalanced asf
@@AmyCherryLMAOthat’s what I’m saying idc what anyone says you can’t disagree that loadouts and weapon color deafeats the purpose of zombies you rely on literally starting off with what you want and the mystery box is now just a cosmetic
@@tracehailhitting the box is the most reliable way of getting a wonder weapon and is the only way to get the ray gun which makes your point automatically invalid number two you do know that you're a common Rarity gun that you start off with is a piece of shit right it barely does any damage
The starting pistol and loadout debate is so tiresome. Nothing is stopping “older players” from engaging with the game in a traditional fashion. If I want to start a game with a pistol and hit the box till I spin the wonder weapon and a gallo then survive I can. The only valid argument to the contrary I’ve heard is the point system but realistically it makes no difference. Cold War just like every other game has optimal weapons and Strats and I as the player can choose how or if I engage with them. Loadouts and rarity are another gameplay option and it seems silly to take away freedom for “randomness”. Everyone is entitled to their preferences in gameplay style. I personally find enjoyment in both but I feel like I consistently just see bad faith arguments that just boil down to nuh-uh I can’t play like that cause I don’t wanna as objective proof of what the better system is.
Raygun useless in cold war miss the insta kill all waves
@@tofgamingyoutube5541raygun useless in Cold War??? That thing was amazing what the hell are you smoking?
Yeah they should remove those from the base maps and only allow loadouts in other zombies modes like outbreak or onslaught which I think is what casual zombies players would prefer as opposed to a lore base zombies map
Them announcing loadouts and gun rarities has killed almost all hype for me.
Same
@theWheezy I'm still gonna give the game a go and see if it can win me over, since it's on Gamepass.
And they claimed to have “listened” 💀
The sad truth is a lot of people like the warzone style zombies 🥲
@@Monkeyman-qt1sm such a sad truth. zombies do not drop loot… if you want more health buy jug, armor plates are ridiculous… if you want a stronger weapon then pap, having weapon rarities is absolutely pointless. these are the annoying little features that original zombies players purposely avoided.

It's mega rare brain rot
It’s literally Cold War 2.0 so yes
You always have the best takes on everything
I can appreciate the Cold War moving dynamics, being able to jump over fences and climb on top of vehicles is a huge upgrade from BO1-3

they could balance loadouts if they make wallbuys and mystery box guns the same rarity but higher than the starting weapon, maybe make wall guns a tier higher to keep wall weapons viable
I would like to see they give us two modes one for loadout and other just hardcore zombie for og players
I think loadout wall weapons could be alright at a set high price, like a designated wall spot that shows the primary in your first loadout
I hate zombies with initial lodout, zombies don't have to be easy to have fans

Not excited for a glamorized Cold War clone.
this is why bo6 WILL SUCK IT WILL
One thing I think is overlooked is the that the camo grind removes unique pack a punches like the starting pistols.
The solution for this is to add mod tools to the game so we can make custom maps that have the classic progression system.
If loadouts & rarities are here to stay then I think we could atleast do with these tweaks in updates:
• make Pistols earn 30% more essence then other weapons at a base. Make sure this is clearly labeled to the player in the loadout menu.
• make all red tier loadout weapons have half the ammo stock as normal until there upgraded to green. Also double the scrap price to upgrade specifically from red to green from Cold War.
•remove all ammo caches so that an added incentive to using wall weapons is that you can buy ammo for them at there chalk
• Incentivise the use of the mystery box by offering more in it.
This, i agree. People say there's much more to work for before the rarity system: when in reality, the rarity system added more grind.
The new system which means: starting with your favorite rifle and just upgrading it the whole game isn't anywhere close as fun as (the old system where) starting with a shitty pistol and buying a wall buy and gambling to get a cool and good gun from the box.
@@ehdbom Gambling is so fun
Rarities are so awful, I never even want to spin the box until round 20 when I'm all perked out already cuz there's just no point.
gun rarity is the worst thing they ever added

They say you can only save and quit at only 100 health not while downed or close to dying
1. They said weapon mods are back 2. The rarity is either going to be with points or the new salvage system
Rarity is going to be with salvage again, upgradeable at the new arsenal machine! You'll also get weapon mods there too, also with salvage
This mode was great for what it was, now they brake it more and more, the more they merge with the other modes.
honestly the only way for the old system to work in the new games.
is to have every bit of the old system come back. which means no pap 3, no killstreaks basically if all of the mechanics ain't the mechanics of Pre-Bo4 then it simply just won't work in the newer titles.
that's not how it works but ok
I am way more hyped for H2M than BO6
So the main issue with zombies is over complicated and not immersive anymore. Who would’ve guessed
I think a good way to fix this is load out Weapons can’t be upgraded in rarity. They have to stay grey.
yeah it would be a step in the right direction and force you to change weapons
I agree, also using the same box skin and pack with no animation for the 3rd game in the row feels super cheap.
See in bo3 we could edit our weapons for the game camos attachments. That was amazing. I feel we should start with the pistol still. We’ll get called old but who cares
Bro is not gonna fuck with liberty balls
One of its augments will allow you to change it to slider, we saw it in the trailer
I’d only welcome progression back if they don’t make LMG’s overpowered compared to shotguns and other weapons
Before anything I want to clarify I'm a 25 yo guy, and started to play zombies in BO1
0:33 - 0:36 no they don't otherwise they'd be against gobblegums, because the most used and/or enjoyed Gobblegums tend to be the ones that skip that "Progression"
0:40 - 4:29 As much as I can understand interpreting it that way... one of my personal gripes with OG Zombie Weapons used to the iconic (Double Barrel Wallbuy) I aways hated how such a goofy and cool looking shotgun was rendered useless beyond a certain round (usually around 5 to 7), and always wished that all weapons were more balanced, Not to be confused with perfectly balanced, as in I don't want all the weapons to have the exact same TTK, but close enough to where the only (Noticeable) Downsides would be Characteristics (More Specifically Weapon Class Specific Characteristics)
100% agree with the rest though!👍
@@theWheezy The old point system sucked, it incentivized getting Water Sprinkler guns to get points in the most repetitively boring way, with the new systems you either sacrifice a couple of nanoseconds to ensure precision to get extra points or alternatively take a risk by going Melee by exposing yourself more to getting hit, thereby rewarding players:
- For better accuracy
- For Riskier starts
- For being efficient
- For being fast
The people that used and abused gobblegums aren't zombies fans, they are either content creators, children, or man children that can't handle a challenge.
Those people are the ones that enjoy the crap Cold War fed them, and will continue enjoying the crap BO6 will feed them.
@@Whatismusic123 Are you telling me that BOCW players are the ones that enjoyed Gobblegums??? Are BO3 Glazers not the ones responsible for giving activation the idea of bringing them back?
Bo6 will only be good for people who missed the golden age of zombies
Ngl. Piggybacking from CW with the aether crystal. It should be a consumable if you want anything outside a pistol.
And there’s me who just wants double tap back. Even if it’s the 1.0 version that doesn’t give the extra damage
my kingdom for a simple, immersive, scary, atmospheric, Zombies map, with no hokey gimmicks or cheesy one-liners.
Some story is fine but it should get ENVIRONMENTAL, not told through cringy cutscenes and radio exposition.
The CoD community is becoming the worst game after game. The community doesn't know what it wants. And that is a problem.
Thinking on what you said
I would agree with you
we need separate mode if anything with loadours and no loadouts, also the point system is so bad
Bo3 and bo4 did it best. Starting pistol or secondary weapon
Loadouts, rarities, armor, and guided Easter eggs are all just weird changes to try and attract the player base from multiplayer and warzone instead of appealing to core zombies fans. Personally I don’t think there’s a way to balance this and make old zombies fans happy without just getting rid of all of it, but that clearly won’t happen since they’re launching the game with all these features.
guided easter eggs will only drop after the easter egg has been solved, and 99% of people use guides anyway on youtube
@@IAmOctoberto add on to your point aswell they specifically specified that people who complete the quest using guided will not receive the same awards of people who complete it without guided so I don’t really see why OP has a problem with that
@@celtic19 not so much that I have a problem with that on its own. I just think that along with the other changes it shows the game going in a direction I’m not a fan of. Fine if other people like it.
@@IAmOctober you’re right, the other things are bigger issues to me. I just meant to say all these changes together have made the zombies mode less interesting to me as a long time fan
@@ZoeyFan69 end of the day when it comes to Easter egg quests the stats of how many people in the player base have completed them have always been pathetically low and if treyarch want to implement a system where they can now still make it challenging for hardcore players but make a separate mode for casuals to still experience it after wards I don’t blame them whatsoever.
for me the whole game set up was perfect in BO3
just use same system with new weapons bosses n maps n it be perfect IMO
I was hyped for no loadouts because that would basically be old school zombies, but then they basically reversed that so I lost interest again :(
You take the good with the bad.
Starting pistol is cool but the loadouts are no big deal. Without upgrading them they’re just as bad as a 1911 in the older games
Been playing zombies since WaW and I don’t have an issue with the starting load out
Good for you lol.
@@Doctor98Who you seem angry and hurt that I said it didn’t bother me. I’m sorry you didn’t like it😕
@@Doctor98Whowell cw was stupidly easy but 3arch already mentioned they would make high rounds more challenging for bo6
@@NotLilDebbie So because you have no valid counterargument, you decide to go personal and attack him? You're kind of right though, there is nothing else you could say 😂
@@NotLilDebbie I’m not angry- people fell in love with zombies for what it was in older days and them changing the formula so much just makes it seem like a new game altogether
another thing is upgrading rarities needs to be cheaper, and box needs to have better chance at higher rarities, wall weapons should have a random chance to upgrade rarity more early on, there's no reason to hit and box or buy a wall weapon when you already spent your hard earned salvage on upgrading the guns rarity, making you play with the same gun all game especially if you choose to spawn in with it, which is most cases, and although your damage is increasing because you are upgrading your guns rarity, the zombies health is still going up, and since your using the same gun all game it gets a boring, especially if you have the super easter egg and you spawn in with a purple rarity, then there's zero point to hit the box or a buy wall weapon and yea although you can deactivate the super easter egg reward, but why would you as no one wants to shoot extra shots into the zombies in the early rounds on a game that only gives points upon kill,
id prefer there be no rarities and be no weapon balance, i mean could you imagine if bo3 had this system ? imagine the Pharo and the Drakon having the same damage per second, and you can just spawn in with either and it wouldnt matter, not only that but pac a punching your starting weapon was worth it but not too op since then youd only have 1 gun slot until you got to pac a punch
they need to remove the new point system, remove rarities, remove loadouts, replace armor with the zombie shield
i mean if it aint broke dont fix it, literally no one complained, and not when people do they dont revert it
everything else is sooooo goood tooooo
9:06 what is this map name i forgot?
Ascension
@@yoasobi6241 thanks its not on bo 3 custom is see
Who else here is excited to disable huds and start with 1911 for custom loadout?
I like the loadout system. At least i can get mastery camos faster and not to deal with random mystery box weapons and just pray i get the one i want.I just prefer CW and MW3 zombies. But thats just my opinion
Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, why cant these AAA games just make what we want...Im so fucking bored
This issue isn't loadouts, its everything else. The rarity system, no perk limit but each perk increasing in price (which literally defeats the point lol), having no limit on what you can start with, and the worst thing ever, SALVAGE. I despise this mechanic with a passion
No loadout means default or random guns? No perks or random perks? Why would we not want these lol
I like the way how it is from cold war
Yk it makes sense for cold war since you are dropping in from a helicopter. However it doesn't make sense in Terminus where you are escaping jail
@@BluSou1 I mean, Peck showed up in the cutscene armed to the teeth… Did you not see his duffle bag?
@@BluSou1that's what I'm saying do you know how fucking stupid it is to send in a task force to deal with zombies and you only give them pistols that's like if they only gave the soldiers on D-Day fucking shovels

Yes, look more like Cold War 2.0.
They should just release a classic mode or listen to the people.
I think the biggest issue with this point is the HUD. It looks especially atrocious in BO6 lmao.
Honestly I don’t understand why we have medles in cold way 😂 ig it makes better tracking for camos and calling cards
Starting pistol thing has one more thing to it
see when you have to much control over your starting rounds it not fells right and this dosen't really fell anymore like you getting all what helps you survive because you can lodout ypur weapons to carry you throught early rounds
I rather have them bring back bo4 loadout than cold war but that's my opinion
It seems like it's Cold War and BO3 put together just like they've mentioned. Is it 100% what I wanted it to be? No. But I am still pretty happy with what we're getting tbh.
Yeah I'm glad we're still getting zombies
@@BluSou1 i'd rather no zombies than this garbage

To me it ruins the game a little bit as I always got bored of the same weapons in high rounds and liked picking a random one for the box to PAP and then do it all over again but when your high rounds every gun is a good gun and it’s just unbalanced asf
#removemysterybox it no longer serves a purpose anymore
tbh, removing loadouts would give it purpose again
@@AmyCherryLMAOthat’s what I’m saying idc what anyone says you can’t disagree that loadouts and weapon color deafeats the purpose of zombies you rely on literally starting off with what you want and the mystery box is now just a cosmetic
Wonder Weapons
@@tracehail and if the warzone fans wanna go this direction, we might as well remove wall weapons too since loadouts also made THOSE useless too
@@tracehailhitting the box is the most reliable way of getting a wonder weapon and is the only way to get the ray gun which makes your point automatically invalid number two you do know that you're a common Rarity gun that you start off with is a piece of shit right it barely does any damage
i cant believe theyre gonna fumble this again.they must be fking useless WE DONT WANT LOADOUTS/OPERATORS
