Michael, I couldn't wait to hear your opinion on this awful episode and I KNEW you wouldn't like it! That look on your face on that thumbnail is hilarious! This series is crappy, full of bad, lazy writing, with unnecessary political, hyper-feminism crap that wouldn't come out of a normal teenager's mouth. I agree with you, this show ISN'T Goosebumps (it's a cash grab) nor is it even a good show at that; it's the lowest of the lowest of shows and I can't see this being renewed for a 2nd season. People can trash the 90s series with its limited budget and sometimes not-so-stellar acting and corny at times (in a good way unlike this new show which is just god-awful cringy), but there was a charm and heart behind it (this new show has none of that--it's simply a cash grab just like the Fear Street films which didn't even reference the street enough) and it was faithful to what Goosebumps has always been: an anthology. I can't see a show like this extended for numerous seasons because the storyline concept would be ridiculous and stale compared to an anthology.

The best way for goosebumps to get a good adaptation is simply for us to make it. IE make a new IP that pays homage to goosebumps. I think a good example of this was that one fan made scooby doo pilot episode. Seems realistic and faithful to the source material yet took a more adult turn i guess without adding nonsense every five seconds

I completely agree with everything you’ve said on the reviews. The only part it was decent was when they got into slappys background. That was the only part that held my attention. The show is a mess and doesn’t run together at all. I get bored and shut it off. Not goosebumps at all.

Oof slappy episode and episode 7 are my most hated ones tbh . The starting ones were still smth good and I enjoyed a bit but slappy was such a let down man and I hated it . I still love the movie slappy, his voice ,looks and powers everything was perfect for me but this slappy was ass . The guy was just making a fortune from shows bruh and he can't even walk . He was even dismembered so easily like wtf man ,that ain't slappy at all . Thr backstory was cool but destroying slappy in such a bad way was the worst thing someone can do . Netflix and Disney were the two worst people to have ever gotten their hands on this franchise, and I called that it would more than likely be bad nearly two years ago, if either of them were the ones to make it lol. For me I enjoyed the episode, as a mystery "teen drama" story. But as a long time Goosebumps fan...very disappointed.
