Shame the level and wily machine are kinda easy though. Great work! It'll be sad to see this collection complete, I always looked forward to the next song :P
@Gencoil Hah, actually I was thinking about that exact scene but ran out of space to mention it. After that long, it would be the only thing driving a man to continue. it's like being taunted over and over again for a single failure. Psychologically insanity inducing.
Well actually from what I understand, Wily "convinces" them to the point where they're kinda like "uh... yeah I guess?" They're curious enough to follow him at least... at which point he physically messes with them to turn them to his side. Also I never really quite understood the exact difference between MMX Reploids (and X and Zero) and older MM robots. X and Co. are supposed to have "true" free will, but the MM robots seem pretty free-willsy at times. But that distinction is still made...

It's almost as if light sets the whole thing up each time just to either profit from saving the world Via Mega Man, or to give another contractual excuse to produce more robots from the destruction of the prior from Wily's Mayhem. It truly is a distopian idea behind the conflict between Light and Wily. and in the end. Light is the perpetuator. because he could end it at any time in many ways.
Does this tune not remind anyone else of Metroid music? It sounds like something that would go great behind a water area in a classic Metroid side scroller.
@Gencoil Hey man, that's nothing. I've full blown analyzed the extend of Wily's insanity. If he's so hell-bent on beating mega man, then why does it he make it so easy for the ol blue bomber to beat him all the time? Why aren't all his robot forces made of mettaur metal and covered in instant death spikes? I think the old man likes the conflict and secretly never wants it to end. He doesn't care about world domination. It's actually all a fun game to him. I have more free time. Ha.
I'm of a few opinions on this: Best theory: It's dr. Lights fault. Either due to morals (pacifism and all, megaman shouldn't keep that much firepower), or needs to rid megaman of them for upgrades/maintainance (They're incompatible with his updated systems or something). I'd like to think its the latter. Other theories I have include: Megaman sells them for money... or mounts them on the wall as trophies and just forgets to re-equip them. (The real reason: game balance).
you know from the title you gave the track... I feel as though Rock has to fight against Death... which would honestly be intense, though Death's ability would probably be the cheapest one he has ever copied... ever!!
I think that scene where he acted like he was going to kill Wily had some, ah... discrepancies between the US and Japanese versions. I'd have to see the Japanese version more properly translated. Original Megaman plays it pretty fast and loos when it comes to whether or not bots have free will or not, and to what degree. I mean, how do we explain Protoman meandering about on his own? How about Bass not exactly being loyal to Wily? Shit's all over the place.
They kinda addressed it in the Megaman comics to an extent. Basically, a robot cannot disobey their programming, but the nature of their programming allows them to work against it if there's enough wiggle room. So Megaman can kill Wily because his programming is "protect humanity" or "stop Wily" and Bass's programming more or less boils down to "defeat megaman" (which doesn't keep him loyal to Wily, since the end goal is to defeat megaman, not serve Wily). Meanwhile, robot masters have programming which boils down to "defeat megaman," which is why they have to fight Megaman, even when they ultimately have no reason or desire to fight at all. The comics were really interesting in the way that the writer played around with the concepts established in the source material but alas, it ended up getting cancelled due to Archie losing the rights to the Megaman and Sonic comics.
dr wily should make nuke man and when megaman defeats him, he explodes like a nuclear bomb and kill megaman. then dr wily will finally get his world domination
Next part of the bio: After being defeated for the eleventh time or so by Mega Man, Dr Wily was isolated in a jail guarded by several super-strong robots to prevent him from escaping. Since he cannot escape without killing himself, the world is now peaceful...or, is it? No, because the Roboenza virus has now changed and improved itself, being able to contaminate humans. The new virus, named Omega, cannot be defeated by Mega Man, who would be contaminated as well, going mad. Is any hope left?
One REALLY has to wonder how NOBODY sees him building a gigantic tower into outer space.
Same for Eggman and those massive fleets of ships he makes.
Probably the same way Palpatine built his Final Order fleet.
