Resin 3D flower
I used Platinum Ultra Clear resin for these coasters. I used white Castin Craft white pigment paste, Pinata alcohol inks and mica powders for petals.

Beautiful..We love your art and I can sit and watch it for hours. The first time I used rasin oops....it was a pure hell. Everything was sticky and I did not prepare the right way. Panic made it worst. Mistake after mistake and ended up crying asking myself...what went wrong and am I thát dumb...it looks so easy on the internet. Five years later now and I pour Towerbusters to protect, Ogonite Pyramids and glowinthedarks.... I néver gave up!! They do not show their frustrations, the tears or the sticky mess they make ...Whatever you do in life when you do it with heart and soul you will always succeed. That,s a promise! Love it! You pick the best colors. I agree with some of the comments, I would like to see something on the mould process also. I also love to see the videos with the wood pieces, please do more of those as well.
I did something for the very first time using resin and small thin wood pieces and I think they came out sooo cute. I don't know how to share them though.

I like the ones done in gold and red that you did first, and you went round thwe outside of the mould and the feathered with a cocktail stick. These colours look a bit wishy washy. My opinion. Stronger colours seem to work better

As always, beautiful work. I saw another lady put calamine lotion on her hands and arms and let dry as a protective barrier for her skin (from the resin). Seems to work well for her. Just an FYI.

Try just using a makeup brush to brush on the mica powder on your molds and just us clear resin on top it works very good for me I've even used eye shadow for color

These are pretty. I like the teal and red together. Very Christmasy. I even like the first ones that failed. They look sort of like frosting piped on the coaster. Maybe find a baker and give them to them as a gift. You have done some breathtakingly beautiful coasters but these are pretty. :-) It's interesting to see how the glitter and mica and pigments all react with different thicknesses of resin. Very educational.

Wow so very pretty. I'm in the US we go by Fahrenheit. So I looked up what is 40° C. in Fahrenheit it said 104°that couldn't be right 😆 that would be hot as Hades!

Love this but with all of these types of molds, you have a pendant mold( heart in this case) in the center I would like to see you try this experiment with those too just to see the effect.

Hey Julie another idea...why don't you use the extra resin in the little hearts instead of letting it go to waste? These are really pretty!!!

Happy Birthday!!! I have been following you for some time now and finally decided to take the plunge and try resin. Only question is, where to buy resin. Don't think the resin from Bunnings will suffice! Can you point me in the right direction and what else will a beginner like me need? Love your work!!! Don't ever stop.
What is the working time on that resin if you had to wait an hour for it to thicken? And how can you test if the resin is thick enough and ready? i really want to try and make them with Artresin for my friends baby shower
