That smile when it really fired up said it all! That beast wants to be put back to work. Sweet find, how'd you come across this one? I've got a bead on a 1969 C30 that's been parked for years. Not quite at epic as what you just pulled off, but still, gotta take 'em when you get 'em! Nice work guys!
That's a really cool truck thanks for the video keeps me inspired I can't build cars racer do that anymore but I can enjoy this I'm a real old guyHave a great day
Remember this tip. Leatherman multi tool has A points file on them already. That's what the funny looking file like thing is on them are called to. Some of them have A flat blade on the end of them to already as we'll. Everything is compacted into one tool. It's one of the all in one tool. Items like multi boxed in wrenches set to. Cause A set of them have different sizes on them to save space and their more simplified that way to. Three decades and one year. Due bad mishaps and other issues to. So I'm not going to replace.,or look for any of those kinds of tools to buy to have again myself. I look at it this it just wasn't meant to be either way. Awesome work y'all are doing out there still today for sure no doubt about it.
Ok for your gas tank use a boat fuel line primer bulb and hook it to the fuel pump put gas line in your gas can also you should try carburetor fist before taking it off and if your engine clutch is stuck push the pedal in and have it in gear it will brake clutch loose boat primer bulb will help get old fuel pump working and gas up to carburetor with you living in FL should be able to get boat stuff easy and you can use a boat tank get rid of that black gas tank get something you can put inside on the floor on the bed tie it down
If that truck had that converter, unless they changed the starter to 12 volt from 6 volt, the engine should spin like crazy. I had '46 Willy's that was half converted so 12 volt only went to starter. Hurricane 4 spun like scalding rear tire at drag race
Great work guys i just love the ripping you two brothers do on each other, brings me back to good jolly times i had with my bro in 79 he died in a freak car accident and wish he was still around to prick on,best one was he had a sex session with local gal and he was so excited he finished in short fashion,so i ribbed him and said ur new name is two stroke johhny.he laughed n said yeah ok like that never happened to you bro!!truth was maybe i was even less but he died before i could be honest with him, anyhow keep it clean n funny but enjoy family time.cool guys!!!snooky pa.😊😊😊😊
Just a point you do not file the points with the ignition switch on thats why you are getting shocked. Not trying to be a know it all just trying to be helpful ok don't take it the wrong way
I really like your videos. But....why didn't you check brake and clutch fluids. Check the master for both as well. And why when the gauge said it was heating, you disconnected the radiator and kept it running on for a little while more. You lucky the head gasket didn't blow out. But, I like your videos, it's honest. But each time you do one....learn from it.
And just for fun I bought a 69 Z28 in 1971 for 1600 bucks it was a real nice car yeah they weren't worth anything then I wish I had the cars now that I had back then I'd be a millionaire literally
Finding these gems and you making memories with your dad , just don't get any better.
Good job on keeping as many of those older vehicles around and running again today.

Did you check the clutch fluid, probably in the floorboard

Always put a lid a bit of grease on that cam inside that distributor that helps that plastic tip on the points to stay in tack and not wear out
We've got one, last registered in 74, also a 54
Sweet
wish i was there 5/16 brake line should fit should be 5/16 inverted flare
