Sweet bike. Needs Dia-Compe brakes and an Odyssey Gyro. I remember those flared rear chain stays, they were brutal when using rear pegs! The current Lineage Master is a sick bike also, coolness of the Master frame with modern features such as 990 brakes, threadless forks, integrated headset, thick dropouts, etc. Haro is releasing more in the next 2 years, including the original "Haro Freestyler" in modernized form.
the coolest bike ever was the 1986 HARO sport with peregrine mags!!!80's will live forever!!!!

I had an 85' built up just like this, but I had the Redline crank and handle bars. One sweet combo. I miss the hell out of it. Shimano pedals and the spin master cable system on it. Best bike ever. Extra tight. No rattle or noise. That 4130 chromoly is the best. 👍🏾

Nice! I had a GT pro tour in the 80's. It was blue with white mags. I still have my 2004 HARO F4, even though I'm 48.
OMG. My buddy had this EXACT bike when we were kids growing up back in the 80's!! I was so jealous! This was a trip down memory lane for sure.👍

Can't beat that year for the Haro Freestyler, because of the addition of the rear platforms. Nice build. Apart from the awful Tech II lever and rear caliper. You want some tech III's and MX900/1000 calipers. You dig? Love the kneesavers!!! :-)

I had a early 90s Haro group 1 that I loved and thought was the nicest bike I ever owned. Of course like everything that is nice some scumbag stole it from me. 1 week ago I found a fantastic deal on a 95 Haro group 1, $150 all original down to the tires (holeshot 2). I’m fixing up a bit now but it’s all in great shape and I’m riding it like I’m a kid again

Great vid. My favorite bike was a 1983 thruster tripower which I had stolen from me in 1989. Love of my life. Most people have never even saw one less alone had one. She was beautiful man just beautiful. Well sorry about the crappy love story. Just got a 24 inch monza 2020. At 51 lovin life again. Tripple chrome with skyway which I never had before, with old style plastic seat. My rear hurts man! Gotta go with SE padded seat. Great build man.

I had an 88 Sport. Nostalgia is killing me right now.
I owned a 1985 Haro Master Green frame and forks I bought brand new in 1985.
It had Blue Tuff 2's , a blue Kashimax Aero seat, Red line 180 cranks, Haro pedals, blue diacomp brakes, blue Ame grips , chrome kneesave bars. It was the baddest looking bike in the neighborhood. I was heartbroken when it was stolen.

I remember buying my first 85 haro master back in 85. I ditched the mag wheels for 18 spike wheels with advocet tires. Great times

the sticker kits are the most important peice to the puzzle because it validates its true identity. it's the badges that make cars cool too. notice how cool a challenger looks when it says 392 on the side and SRT on the back deck lid. same with bikes...

What would really finish your bike off is some Kool Kaps flanges in blue for your Tuff IIs...I've seen it on a Haro cruiser same color scheme as yours..it looks killer..

Man I had my haro.master back when I was 15.....got my tricked out chrome hutch trickstar stolen out the garage...the insurance money got me my haro...shit was like 800$....lol....then I got it shipped to me at Luke AFB in Arizona in 1990....then it got stolen on base...I was freeking pissed....I miss that bike....I had peregrine rims on mine tho

One of the most beautiful bikes of that era! ❤ Always wanted one but was recommended against it because I'm 6' 3" and it was designed for smaller folks...smaller than 6'3" at least lol...so are these OEM parts or are they making these again?
Is there a bmx made to suit someone 6’3” ?
@@zyoungson the Haro Sport had a slightly longer frame so probably better suited for tall folks. I'm over 6' and the Master rides fine, it's just a little short without cranking the seat post way up
@@zyoungson As long as the top tube of the frame is between 21.25" - 22" riders over 6' are fine for it.

Missing the pegs and the fold downs. Front brakes would help. Man that thing is tiny lol I'd throw it around at my age now.
A blue anodized Dia-Comp brake to match the lever , white Skyway mags w/ blue tires, and white brake line would have really made this stand out.

I had an 87 Sport all chrome WITH SPOKES. Now I have a Dyno Zone all chrome. With.......spokes.
Why is the fork tube so tall? I've never seen any that tall before.
Great bike but why the GT seat post? Also chrome bikes need spokes.

They are resell-able, but they vary between the year/month it was made, the color, and if it's a non reproduction frame(averaged in the $350-$500). Collectors on bmxmuesum sell nos(new old stock) completes in the range of 1985-1989 for $3k.
They are worth as much as someone will pay.

I've still got my mk1 GT performer so I'm a GT fan but I wouldn't have built that bike with a GT laid back seat post.
We didn't mix brands. Just wasn't done.

Why are your forks so long? I have an 85 and I don’t need any spacers. Note: I watched the rest of your video and I realized you don’t have original forks.
