Dads back. So good to see him recovering. Missed his word to the wise!
Thank You...
My wife was an Iowan Farm Girl...we live in Alaska now.
GOD will not put you through more than he has given you gifts to succeed
You can’t keep a good man down. It’s good to see your dad out. Hope he doesn’t do too much. Don’t need him to have another injury, but I can understand it in his blood being out working outside with his animals and his land. My very best to both of you and praying that all will continue to heal well.
How is your wife and child doing? So glad to see the sun shining there. Love and prayers 💜😇
Loved seeing the Ginger Warrior!!! I hope the bumpy ride didn't bother his back. A ton of best wishes to him and the whole family!!!
I love watching you with your dad. The knowledge he is passing on to you is worth so much for the future. It just makes me so happy watching you both together 🥰.
So wonderful to see the father and son team together again! Okay Mr. Pemberton why are you looking 10 years younger? Glad to see you out and about and looking healthy and rested. We’ve missed you. Tom you’ve become quite the business man the way you can put together your business plans for the farm and prioritize what needs to happen. Love your videos and love the way you explain how you see your year and what your goals are. Say hello to Joanna and give that handsome boy of yours a hug for me. ❤❤
What a motto for all farmers this year " Hit the Diff and pray we go all the way"
Nice to see the Ginger Warrior out and about. Well done on getting out in the fields despite the wet.
Hard case! I couldn't help but notice the "fence tester knife" which is exactly what I have sitting in the tractor for all those little jobs that call for a knife... but, we are on the other side of the world! Regards from New Zealand. Heading into winter here, hope you guys have a brilliant spring and summer!
I know time isn’t something you have to spare but it’d be well worth putting a set of flaps/shields down the front of your fert spinner to stop all the muck and water getting into all the nooks & crannies. 👍😎
ask olly blogs for an old combine section and weld it to a length of .5 - .75 inch pipe to cut the bottom bags ...will stop your knife going rusty
Hi Tom, I’m not sure what way yous are required with slurry storage over there but would u not think about an open lagoon, and ur slurry still go into ur tower to get processed/cleaned and pump all the slurry from the tower into the lagoon, or you could put an extra few rings on the slurry tower but it prob wouldn’t be sufficient enough storage by adding that little onto it
Lincolnshires roads are full of tractors, choppers, sprayers etc etc and you know what.......its fantastic
The Battle continues and you have the Ginger Warrior at your side. That CASE is ACE!!!🤣 Tom I think Fatherhood has improved your singing voice!
Fabulous video Tom. It's great to see you out in the feilds at last let's hope that blooming rain has stoped and they will dry out. Thank you for showing us . Great to see your Dad up and about he is such a wise man. Hope all is well with Jo, Harvey and mam. Also how great it is to see 2 young lasses in the farming industry what a great team they make 😊 and Luke ofcourse 😊. All the best 💜
Tom for more slurry storage you could investigate if your slurry store could be extended up by another ring
Thank you Tom for sharing your farm. Love watching your channel.
Ginger Warrior is looking well, nice to see him back
The Warrior's Return! (And he's looking well 👍🏻)
Anybody no the song when Tom is spreading fert great too see the warrior in good form
Those big bags look so much easier than humping cwt bags into the spreader.
So when are you gonna tell us about the GPS system you've chosen? 😊
That’s what I was thinking, white box on the roof 👍
Nice to see you so excited to get going with field work!!
It’s great to see you both farming again .
Wooohoooooo all done!
It is good to see you guys are back on the fields.
It great that you're dad is back good to to see him again
Lovely to see your Dad on his feet and out in the cab with you!
Good job Sir. Good to see dad again. 😊
Good luck with everything on the farm ahead & stay safe 👍👍👍
YES, it was nice to see your dad Tom. This was a fantastic video 😊
Great video Tom and nice to see your dad up and out and keeping a eye on you 👏👏👍👍
Thanks for sharing!❤
Good to see your dad back Tom hope Jo is well to
Great to see your dad back and looking well we’ve missed him great video Tom keep them coming and Happy Farming
Thank you Tom ....... you DO a great job. Machines are for work, n getting the job done , dont be bothered about the muck.I Bless you.
Al way enjoy seeing your dad back at it. He’s soooo smart!❤
Even with the new roof over the silage clamps and the separator you will still need a bigger slurry storage tank?
So good to see you're dad back.
I didn't say anything but i was really worried for him as I'm proof of when ops like that go very wrong.
Maybe some clip on rear dual wheels to help with the ruts when it's wet.
So great to see you back on the fields, or should I say lagoons. Lots of water. Not too bad though. That new field looks interesting. All kinds of ups and downs.
Back to the wet farming I love it. Glad to see the ginger guy up and around. I have to be honest seeing the two of you and the tractor on that one part really makes me sentimental for when I learn to drive a tractor with my grandfather way back before Tom was born, happy cows everybody. Be well be you.
Fair play, u’ve done a good job in some challenging conditions there Tom.
Good to see tom out farming
A good start Tom👍 here's hoping the does shine a lot more. Love the drone shots👌
Thanks for the video Tom
BeWell and TakeCare ✌️
Happy days
Try using a bill hook to open the fert bags, saves getting under them
Love that Ginger Man! What a worker! Such an inspiration for us older folk!!!! lol
Well done Ginger Warrior...and well done Tom... I hope Joanna is getting her health back
and Harvey is growing well...😁🌠
Another great video mate thanks for showing us how your farming life is going 👍
Amazingly straight lines for a tractor with no GPS. Great video as always 🎉
Watched the "Hoof GP" guy recently. It was very entertaining as well!!
Great to see the ginger warrior back in action. Some man.
im sorry for your bad weather i am from south Germany and we just did the 1.Cut last weekend and it was a very good one
Another very interesting video Thank you good to see Ginger Warrior out 😊😊😊😊
Spreading through water special boy
Great video Tom . Nice to see the Ginger Warrior looking well
Morning Tom. We put duel tyres on the back of the tractor when spreading in the spring. Tyres hardly make a mark.
great to hear from the ginger warrior great video tom
well done tom, you didnt get stuck lol, cant wait for cows to go out xx
Hi Tom, If you could pick up a set of duals for the back of the tractor to reduce the compaction levels for the first spread of the year might be worth it. Just a suggestion.
Hi Tom, great to see your Dad back up and about. A set of dual wheels all around wouldn't go astray on that ground.
Your dad is looking well, hope he's not doing too much
Hello Tom, have you ever thought of Scarifying your fields, it will put tiny hole in the soil to help with drainage. Nice to see the Ginger Warrior is back and looking Good. XXX
Yeah, they do something like that with golf courses. And probably sports fields.
That would be aeration not scarifying
I pray the fields dry and you can make grass!
What a job!! Good days ahead…finally… yeah 😅
Good video
Current store is 19mx4.3m you could rebuild at twice the height in the same place or take the opportunity to move it to the other side of the roadway. This area could then be a maze clamp in the future. You already have a large part of it with a concrete base.
+25% diameter = + 56% capacity.
+50% diameter = + 125% capacity
So if you double the height as well then this gives you 1350gallons (4.25x current capacity)
Great to see "The Ginger Warrior" back in action! Would you consider paving a roadway round the back on the dry-cow shed to keep the machinery on - save tracking the ground.
Got to love a farmer, always on the lookout for a grant
Hopefully you get the grant Tom. .
If you are ripping a new field, then will you mark out where the very damp spots are and check, replace drains in that area?
Nice video
Happy to see the Ginger Warrior back. It's still too bloody wet and horrible out there. But there is work to be done.
Nice seeing you and your dad together in a tractor, bet you both thought that day might not happen again. You need one of those Amphibious BVS vehicles for your fields, go anywhere and have really wide pads so the ground pressure is a minimum, plus they're really cool. It is my vehicle of choice but the wife won't let me buy on, perhaps because a) we don't have the space to park it and b) I have absolutely no use for it at all. And looking at your fields you could always try and grow rice, understand that that plant loves water.😂🤣👍
Ollie blogs has a section from a mowerbar welded to a piece of steel to cut the bags. I would say using the same principle but on a shovel handle cut with a circular saw and bolted through both sides, it would be more ergonomic to use. Good to see your dad back in action. Keep up the good work.
Looks like you can grow rice on your fields. Glad your dad is back and doing well
Nitram is still available and made in Billingham, which is equally important for supplying many industries with pressurised carbon dioxide, including the beverage and slaughterhouse and hospital industries. You really should consult your spreader’s calibration tables or even do your own calibration for different fertilisers in order to get an even spread width and application rate. Guessing can result in a complete waste of money and your neighbours laughing their heads off looking as your stripy grass pattern due to over application and alternating under application. Also I’m sure that Kuhn could easily accurately spread at 18 to 25m bout widths. You really do need sat-nav to keep a consistent and accurate spread width anyway, going from the drone footage. One of the best £1000 you will ever spend on a piece of equipment if you can’t judge wide bouts by eye. You could also usefully increase yields and avoid waste in on outer borders by having a border spreading kit so that you would keep a half width from the boundary while avoiding throwing past the boundary. Otherwise you are only spreading a reduced rate and wasting fertiliser into hedge bottoms and potentially water courses.
The field is partially submerged. Getting it on the field was the priority.
Guidance systems are on the grant as well
Great to see the ginger guy is doing well
Glad to see the Ginger Warrior and hear his words of wisdom. The "new field" is the one you used to use near the cemetery isn't it? Needs must Tom the grass requires till to grow/flourish - another yearly task completed, not too long till 1st cut now.
That’s right yeah… I do explain it in this video but cut it out becasue I thought the video was long enough. Will explain properly very very soon!
Great to see u in the fields Tom before u know u will be cutting grass
Good to see your Dad back. Conditions still challenging. it is well past time for spreading for silage. The Case travelled well. We found here that the heavy grass covers minimized tracking while spreading . As i have been busy lately did I miss your conclusions on Super soil ? Didn't seem to do much for us last year
The Cotswolds must have the highest number of hobby farmers then anywhere in the UK
Too bad they cannot make a self-cleaning tractor 😊. Love the drone footage and music 👍😊👍
Hope your Dad is feeling well
nice to see the ginger one out and about
I feel for you I never had to deal with all that wet land 😢
Fair play Tom with the spreading
Milk collecting yard next to your cow house. Hang cattle house gate opposite side and link with collecting yard gate. Cows can go into cattle house and not disturb you sowing fertiliser.
Warm weather due pal
You have some fancy seat covers for the case. Father left hie walking stick in the cab!!!
That new field looks like an old golf course. would be a great pasture for the sheep or cows.
I didn't realise you had an auto steer system on your tractor, Tom!
I've got a block of land, which is heavier, and I've just overseeded a few patches in some permanent pasture which had suffered from wet weather, with my grass harrow seeder, such a handy thing to have. Also, I have about 18 acres with a large area of that has just gone brown and died off, never had standing water on it but just been so saturated for months. So its getting re seeded asap.
25:34 great job
Nice auto steer setup!!
Tom, looks like the top link needs shortening a little and it doesn't look level either. You will end up with stripes
Great to see the Ginger Warrior out with you and that you didn't bounce him around too much. If that "New Field" you've taken on doesn't work out to your satisfaction it would make a great nine hole golf course or pitch and put. Can you get a sports grant for diversification 🤔😉.
Can you grow alfalfa where you are really helps pull water out of wetter ground massive root systems
Kuhn is made in my hometown of Brodhead Wisconsin.....hehehe...
It's much better to get the fertilizer on early even if wet than to wait for perfect field conditions. You made the absolute right choice by going now!
