today my daughter and i rescued a smooth earth snake from the pool drain! it was really little (like the dekay's!) and had slightly iridescent brownish-gray scales + a white belly. It was very friendly--it let both of us hold it without trying to get away. it didn't seem hurt, but it was trying to shed, so we put it by some small rocks and it immediately started to rub against everything to get the shed off. then it slithered away. :) this is the first time we have found a snake since watching your videos and it was my first time feeling confident handling a snake found in the wild. it was such a cool moment to experience with my daughter and I thank you for giving me the knowledge to handle the situation!

I have a DeKay’s Brown Snake named Shawna, and she is the SWEETEST! They make amazing pet snakes. She is my first reptile I have ever owned and I’m a kid.
It's really interesting seeing captive brownsnakes! I've heard wild-caught ones do awful in captivity, but people catch them anyways. Good on you guys for raising captive-bred ones :>

Our cat had been stuck in the pantry for a full day once. He didn't make any noise at all, I only found him after checking the whole house. He immediately ran to the litter box when I let him out, poor little guy

I do love this video! Cannot count how many times I watched this anymore! Before Emily feed them, the first one was telling to the other 2 buddies that she’s there, it looks really telling them like “🗣hey, hey, wake up! Here she is!” That’s so adorable and interesting, his head was moving like a human to tell about the happy news. Trying to take the food from other one, or open the cute mouth to eat like a child etc., every behaviors are so adorable😍💕
Today while on a walk with my dogs, I caught a Dekay's Brown Snake and was only able to identify it thanks to these videos! My first ever herping experience! Thanks to you guys~
3:33 I have that same enclosure for my frog and if crickets are escaping there are holes at the top back of the enclosure for like misting systems I'm pretty sure I have just taped those up its just a tip if you didn't notice.
