I can't believe you forgot about the best benefit of the focus spells: you have to name the spell and you MUST say it in order to cast the spell. I get my very own over the top anime attack with appropriately lengthy and flowery name!
I get where you're coming from regarding the zodiacs only being listed in the book and not translating to things like Pathbuilder, but consider the following: 1. Campaign setting specific content is Paizo's only property that they don't make readily available everywhere (even pathbuilder doesn't have the golarion specific deities) 2. AoN is their officially supported "Free" access rules document, and it will likely available there once the site is updated to include the Tian Xia CG. 3. Pathbuilder is a great 3rd party tool that I use frequently, but it also has a monetization aspect, and Paizo *explicitly* does not want other companies profiting off of their IP. See what happened to PFSRD years ago when they tried selling Pathfinder specific merch.
"magical girls" isn't the only thing that this fits Alternate identity? transformations? Yelling names of your abilities? Case Closed, Bleach, DBZ, YuYu Hakusho It DEFINATLY leans toward anime, but it's not hard to give it a non-girly coat of paint.
Honeslty my first thought as power Rangers. So it really isn't that tied to the magical girl theme heck even dragon ball could be associated with a bit of leg work.
Bleach had massive influence from magical girls, bro) Also it's the flight too. Remember, each magical girl typically has flight . + The flavour he told => the constellations and it's actual flavour in the book, while "there's only one person of each constellation present". Plus flashy transformation which blinding foes is slightly more leaning towards it, instead of YuYu Hakusho and all. Bleach has Spiritual Pressure (Reatsu) which is different. Dragon Ball transformations are slightly less "blinding" too... Yet both bleach and dragon ball can be imitated like that, yes!
@@DomIstKrieg Shazam (or Captain Marvel, or Captain Thunder, or Marvel, or The Captain, or whatever name he'll use next) is a pretty straight forward example of a 'magical girl'. He transforms with magical divine power into a superhero who fights for good. Hell, you can argue he was the first magical girl since he debut in the early 1940s, well before the magical girl boom of the 70s (which is funnily enough when he was rebooted). I often joke that his sister, Mary, was the first 'true' magical girl. Hulk... eh, I don't see the logic. Transformation isn't just magical girl stuff. He-Man and Marvel work since they both invoke magical/divine energy on whim, while Hulk is less voluntary. I'd argue that Thor prior to the Walter Simonson run was a magical girl though since he would tranform into Thor.
I said this on another vid about starlit sentinel, but with just one homebrew change to the dedication feat's key, (aka if it leaves your range, you go unconscious, and if it is destroyed you die)... then.... /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Contract? (Of course... everyone would need to be on board with this change of rules if so. lol) madoka magica is what came to mind first when I saw the starlit sentinel stuff being announced lol. one thing I don't like as much about 'Blade of the heart' is that the rune counts against the maximum. While AFAIK, other limited per day special rune effects, like the soulforger's awakened form stuff, don't count against the maximum.
12:10 I think the name revealing of Majestic Proclamation is less of revealing your character's actual name, and more "By the light of the Constellations, I, Sailor Swordswomen, will punish you!" sort of vibe. Like you're announcing to your enemies that you're about to kick their asses.
The constellation info wouldn't be in Pathbuilder even if it had been formatted differently because that type of thing tends to be product identity and not in Pathbuilder. Same reason Kingmaker in Pathbuilder has renamed backgrounds like "Noble Outcast" instead of "Brevic Outcast". Hero Lab or Nexus could include it as they do licence that content. I also doubt Paizo is super concerned about how easy it is to use for people that aren't buying the books and using a product that isn't licensing the setting specific stuff either. :)
I also thought the star theme was a little too specific. I wanted to do a magical girl based around diamonds and gems which is perfectly doable via reflavor but I also just think it's kind of weird they don't have alternate power sources or whatever. Maybe a line of more transformation archetypes like this and Vigilante to fufill more esoteric characters could be neat.

You should get a bonus if it said slowly and each syllable is drawn out with the climax at the end.
Get an even bigger bonus if you can happen to pull off saying the focus spell right as the session is ending @@joshuacr

Calm down, Utena, damn
I thought of Shining Tears x Wind when I saw that ability :p

The Dragon Empires booklet did present the Constellations :)

I already made Mega Man using this xD

He-Man is a magical girl. So is the Incredible Hulk. Oh, and Shazam!
He-Man I can get behind and Shazam but Incredible Hulk I don't see. Explain please.
What about Power Rangers/Super Sentai

She-Ra wants a word with you.
FYI, the Vigilante, back in P1E, had an archetype called the Magical Child ;)
