Consistently ranks as the number one episode among fans. It's not my personal favourite, but it is an absolute classic, with a truly memorable killer in Donald Pleasance.
One of my favorite episodes from the CLASSiC tv series. I especially love early in the show when Donald Pleasence's character is arguing with his brother. I can't remember the exact lines, but something to the effect of: "wino heaven", "69 cents a gallon" and "liquid filth."
Dick's compositions are some of my favorites. Anyone knows about the two instrumentals in the scene where Columbo tells the girlfriend about the guy's death?
Can anyone tell me whats the song at 5:35 called? Iam trying to find whats the ultrakill soundtrack "castle vein" is based on, and this is eerly similair
I'm a big Columbo fan and and a big soundtrack lover. You make my day !! Just one more thing : Will you make all the Columbo episodes (at least until the interruption in 1978) unless those who are not exploitable, I suppose ? Eric (from France)
LOL (just one more thing:) I have all episodes from all of the 10 seasons. I plan on extracting the music from every episode except for the ones that simply re-use music cues from previous episodes.
"You learn very well, Lieutenant."
Thank you, sir. That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me. 11:10
Very Cool line

Where there is a hard to find favorite, there is FISH MAN!!!
Carsini is one of the best antagonists, Donald Pleasence is charismatic and endearing while retaining his class contempt like every columbo villains.
not every one villains has that contempt at all
Clever title-the series was known for titles which referred to the murderer's profession.
Nice film score, ;of of 12 tone stuff, reminds me of Frank Zappa !!
It’s back!!!
👍🙂
Donald Pleasance!!! Great!
A great episode.
One of my favorite episode. Thank you Fish Man !
You're welcome dragui. I haven't watched that one yet but I plan on watching it tonight. I'm a big fan of Donald Pleasence.

I remember Donald Pleasance for two roles: Ernst Stavro Blofeld in You Only Live Twice and Adrian Carsini in this Columbo episode.
I'll remember him from this one: "Any Old Port in a Storm" (1973) and "Halloween" (1978).
@@You-Toober that seems like the consensus.
I saw the episode recently, thanks so much for uploading this! Is there a longer version of the end credits music? (11:05 to 11:48) It's great.
