During the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker period and with home-based learning for students, Pastor How found out about Jessel’s difficult living conditions and initiated a home makeover for Jessel and his family!
16-year-old Jessel was guided through the whole process of budgeting, decluttering, designing and decorating his house. More than just receiving donations, he was developed in the process and experienced the love of Jesus.

Heart Community Services (HCS) is a fund established in 2008 to provide financial and educational support to Heart of God Church members, as well as social services to the local community. Through HCS, pocket money, opportunity grants and scholarships are disbursed to young people from less well-to-do backgrounds, or whose families are going through a financial crisis.

Heart of God Church Singapore is founded by Pastor Tan Seow How (Pastor How) and Pastor Cecilia Chan (Pastor Lia) in 1999. Even though it’s been over 20 years since the church started, its average age is still a grand old… 22!
