People watching it in 1994: Funny movie but a little over the top. People watching it in 2024: is this based off a true story? Great movie and it's sad that so many American colleges have become so crazy but putting that aside, I had a huge crush on Megan Ward as a kid and it's surprising that she didn't have a bigger career. She had a good run in the 90s.
That flashback scene was supposed to be an ironic joke. Right before the scene Mullaney, mentions that Spade's character must've been a nightmare to room with setting up the complete opposite. Spade's character also tries to tell Droz and the girl to keep it down while he's trying to sleep, which then sets off the chaos.
I got a used PCU DVD off Thiftbooks for like $15 last summer but I was really looking for a few years and not willing to go over $25. The movie is flawed, some jokes like them stealing the alcohol does fall flat but man, they nailed the direction that colleges and liberalism in general were going. I went back to college in 2017 after 12 years away and it was crazy how much more extreme things have become. There's a reason why so many liberal professors are taking early retirement, but I don't feel bad for most of them because they played a role in creating this monster. I would give the movie like an 8/10, making fun of PC and the groups was funny but the biggest flaw is the movie doesn't always know how to move the story forward and they've to throw in an over-the-top gag. I agree that Tom being chased for most of the movie is a joke that went on way too long.
I've to agree with Chris Young being the weakest, not his fault and he's a good actor in other movies but there is nothing interesting about Tom and his relationship or whatever you want to call it with Katy is so unrealistic even by movie standards. I actually like Piven in this movie and I'm not a big fan in general, but his character is fun even if he's a prick. Jessica Walters did feel like she was playing a Hillary Clinton like character, I hated her, but she gave a good performance and played the perfect villain in this kind of movie.
Good evening, everybody! Yes, the "channel surfing and stopping to watch a movie 20 minutes in", is a lost art these days, thanks to RUclips, Tubi, Plex and streaming platforms. So, I have a request for a review episode for you to consider, everybody: The Last Shark (1981), starring James Franciscus (sic; I can never be sure of how to spell his name correctly) and Vic Morrow. It's an Italian "version" (more like. ripoff) of Jaws. The IMDB score is 4.3, and the Rotten Tomatoes score is 33%. It is available for streaming on Tubi, so you can watch it there. It might also be available here on RUclips. Great episode, as always, BMR Crew. Until next time, be good, be kind, don't litter, be genuine and don't litter.
This movie 100% is hard to find because the institutions want to suppress it, and they want to suppress it because they know it's telling the truth about them. Now I have to see this movie, if for no other reason than to spite them. Btw, another movie that scorches both sides of the political spectrum is 2020's The Hunt, which nobody saw, because it hit theaters in the middle of a global pandemic. It should also qualify for BMR, as it has a 57% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.
I struggle with girls in high school myself but I thought it was a fairly cruel joke to play on me when they let me audition for the women's wrestling team and accepted me.
"predict the future" bruh... it was literally just about the current state of colleges at the time. None of this PC stuff is new, its just new to you cause you're out of the loop.
Well let me think I'm going to be the first to comment here and I'll just say this 8 million dollar budget and 4 million at the box office that equals a 6 million loss, then wait a minute where did you say you went to college again?
Of course THESE guys didn't have that experience. You have to be popular and get invited to those parties and wild times. Guys in silly, thick framed glasses, hung out with the other goobers like them, where there was Magic the Gathering and similar things happening. Myst in the library.

I cover myself, and me I'm proud of having had to attend the college of lake county.
I didn't sound my mind so much the computer science of it.
What state is that in?
@@Mickey-1994 Lake County is located in Wisconsin, Mickey-1994. The Bad Movies Rule! crew all hail from Wisconsin.
I did not exhale with that woman Monica Lewinsky
Saw this movie 600 times on HBO growing up. I didn't understand half of it but was enthralled with this comedy
Yes, I had a college experience like the one in movie.
How about 2 bad hockey movies 1 Stanley cup?
