Todd these videos are amazing! Not only are they informative, educational, inspirational and funny but they preserve a part of nostalgic history for generations to come! Plus you make money doing what you clearly love to do, so cheers to you, there's nothing better! Also, I appreciate the contextual plugs, part and upgrade information as well as upgrade sources, tips and tricks. Everything you do and share has helped me rebuild and restore my arcades and pinball machines! I hope to one day be able to send you my Starship Troopers pinball for a complete overhaul. I've been stock pilling parts for months now and have begun many small upgrades and repairs myself to test my medal. Last but not least! A question? Do you think a ground pin on a three prong power plug could contribute to pinball machine's game play delays? Being, you start playing, the program is running on the play field and BING! a ball drops into an upkicker and just sits there. The game seems to have powered down, but the main play field lights remain lit. Wait a few seconds or a minute or to and POW! the music starts, all the lights come back on flashing the ball kicks out and you're back in business. Its almost as if the game took a nap and woke right back up where it left off. Thoughts? Perhaps it'll be in your next video! Eric@OffTheSetProps.com
Thank you so much for such a nice email to us! I really appreciate it! Our guys do enjoy what they do...and we are thrilled we can restore these lost classics for future generations!
In game's settings you can *disable* the vertical playfield. This causes the ruleset to change slightly. The game will never transport the ball into vertical playfield if it's disabled and will kick the ball out of the hill saucer while saying "Hill closed" on the display. This is useful if something breaks on the upper playfield and you want to keep the game playable.
The TNT touch! Oh my Lord; does this machine have a lot of mechanical detail. The system 11 B board is huge! The Ppb board, power supply, logic board and sound board looks flawless. This is another beautiful restoration by TNT!
Does anyone wanna work here? if i lived near you guys i'd apply in a heartbeat. Getting to joke around with people while working on vintage arcade games and pinball machines sounds like a great job.
This game is just so wicked.....if you ever play a machine.....any machine ....ever......this is the champion !....would not be surprised if this is the most expensive of all pins in the world.
I only played a real one once in the 1989 being only 8 years old at the time. What a fantastic machine and what an excelent upgrades you have made to it.
I had a Banzai Run for many years. It was great fun but I had to trade it in to TNT a few years ago to make more room in my gameroom. TNT did a great job moving it too up some curving stairs. Nice video too Todd.
SCIONIZER Thanks! Yours went to a local collector, who then he traded it to another dealer, who put it up on EBay a few months ago and got a good amount of $$$ for it!!
I laughed pretty hard when 28:38 it looked like you both were giving each other the finger.... Great work on the pinball machine, your videos are the best!
One of these wonderful machines is languishing in a storage room at my old work. Begged to be aloud to refurbishment it but always got a no. Anyway had more than enough on my hands with a faulty TMNT and Hook to keep going :(
Man that Banzai Run theme at one part really reminds me of The Police - Synchronicity II at 28:30. So strange how its a little similar. Well to me anyway. Maybe they were fans? :D
Hi people. Sweet machine. Wish I could have one, or many. No room. 1 bedroom apt. Plus no thousands for pins. But pinball arcade fills the need. THIS Pin is coming to pinball arcade for November 2015.
I took delivery of a Banzai Run yesterday!! This video is awesome, thanks so much. Any tips on how specifically to tie in the hill shot red flasher? I like how you showed it under the playfield, but can't tell exactly how it's wired? My bottom bumper isn't popping and a few lights are out, normal stuff. Plays pretty good though. Anyway... thanks & great video.
Love Banzai Run, first table I ever played! That sticker is ripped in the same place as my Dad's is! I made a replacement sticker for it, if you still have it I could send you the file?
Guys, love your videos. I hope you don't mind but I run a Virtual pinball competition group over on FB. Every week we have 3 tables, A weekly challenge, A weekend challenge and my favourite a Wayback table (SS and EM machines) I do a bit of research and put the flyers up but if we are playing a table that you guys have done a video for I will put it in the announcement when I list the challenge. Just so happens that this week we are playing Banzai Run so I hope some of my members will check out your videos and subscribe to you. Thanks for the videos man, I love them, so interesting for me to find out more details and the history of these tables. Thank you.
Originally called "Wrecking Ball," this was the debut game of the legendary Pat Lawlor. Which of these are easier to obtain: this, Addams Family or Twilight Zone?
I played at 17 ages (1997). when I was young. remeber was. red,blue,green.yellow. hill 2 pad. top left stick. right hole can't save the ball. it's all pinball games to same. left kick back is on ramp available only save.
I have this machine. I played it at and arcade when I was 20. and I told my dad if he ever saw one let me know. he found the machine. I have owned it for 20 years. my machine was never in and arcade. it was home owner bought from new. no wear and like new. after looking at other machines. I might have the most original machine out there. and then to ind out that pat lawlor this was his first machine.
TODD, I guess Farsight are those creeps after all....they lost their licenses to the Bally/Williams games. Now nobody can buy the pinball games after June 30th.
Could see myself having fun with that one but $$$ probably not cheap... as for your signing ceremony might be better to use the Poster Paint marker from Sharpie and not magic marker. (Water Based or Oil Based depending on the application) normal sharpies just don't cut it. course then you'd have to cover it up so they don't get scratched off.. ;) Shoulda had curt sign it while he was filming :) before he had an Ere**** problem.
seriously you need a wishlist :P could sent paint markers easy (and someone asks and people still wanna work at TNT. sure who wouldn't ahem sure who wouldn't find some tape to stay sane :)
I'm not a pinball repair expert, but my dad, who was a super computer technician for Hewlett-Packard, has taught me a few things about working on computers. Please, stop touching the boards. It appears the machine is still plugged in and on. So not only do you run the risk of shocking yourself, but without properly grounding yourself you could damage the components by either static electricity, or bridging a connection that shouldn't be. Maybe pinballs aren't as temperamental, but it made my skin crawl to see it. Otherwise, a cool machine, and nice video.
42 min video oh I opened this too late. he did stick a classic movie in there. I used to think nobody would work on Easter ha. Menards packed and around Chicago USPS was out delivering mail WTF?? Easter Sunday and they .. hey they don't need holidays anymore X_X naturally the place I sent whatever to was closed. I didn't imagine they'd try on Easter Sunday. oh but they did (face palm)
Curt at least was a bit nicer this time. Think he prefers being behind the camera :) minus the auto light. doesn't that thing come with an on off light or were you just bugging Curt. and a go pro is cheaper than that camera O_O year old camera.. ahem welcome to technology. where my 4 month old cell phone is not obsolete smh (HTC M8) M9 messed up the camera. went back to MP and not Ultrapixels

I forgot doing that psycho clip! Thanks for the reminder!
I loved that table. It's one-of-a-kind. Wish that table comes to Pinball Arcade.
Robert Lopresti I am sure it will.
This game is just so wicked.....if you ever play a machine.....any machine ....ever......this is the champion !....would not be surprised if this is the most expensive of all pins in the world.
That title goes to pinball circus with a budget of 1.5mil dollars and only 2 prototypes were produced.
they have one at the pinball hall of fame in las vegas, but it was out of order last time i was there
I only played a real one once in the 1989 being only 8 years old at the time. What a fantastic machine and what an excelent upgrades you have made to it.
+Robby Kluitmans Yes...to an 8 year old, it must have been VERY special!
+TNT Amusements Inc Yes indeed. I still remember it very well, even made it all the way to the top once on the upper playfield.
That Machine is quite a Monster!
dvddmc Yes it is pretty huge!
is that one of the largest pins made? talking about more in line with that body style not a freaky unnatural wide body.
Very cool game. One of a kind pinball machine.
Riz2336 Absolutely!
I had a Banzai Run for many years. It was great fun but I had to trade it in to TNT a few years ago to make more room in my gameroom. TNT did a great job moving it too up some curving stairs. Nice video too Todd.

If I lived in USA I'd just love to work for Todd - what a laugh it must be in that place.
I get so nervous every time I see you remove the back glass and carry it around. Have you ever broken one over the years?
Brent Watier Yes...of course. Over these years a couple backglasses have gotten broken! UGH!
Todd for president.
+Ary M I would settle for Vice!

AWESOME...Love that game!
Retro Game Players Try to find one and play it!
I think I remember seeing one come up for sale in Idaho about a year ago, but other than that it's a rare bird! Especially that game award you have!
I laughed pretty hard when 28:38 it looked like you both were giving each other the finger.... Great work on the pinball machine, your videos are the best!
:-)
Great rate pinball machine to find in the UK
***** Yes...probably not many over there!

AWESOME game to play if you can find one

Nice game they have one at modern pinball in NYC. It has I think a 20k price tag
One of these wonderful machines is languishing in a storage room at my old work. Begged to be aloud to refurbishment it but always got a no. Anyway had more than enough on my hands with a faulty TMNT and Hook to keep going :(
+SteamBackInTime It needs some loving!

Originally called "Wrecking Ball," this was the debut game of the legendary Pat Lawlor. Which of these are easier to obtain: this, Addams Family or Twilight Zone?
Addams as there were 21,000 made!
Banzaaaiii!
Majoras :-)
What is the going rate on a Banzai Run machine? By the way, I like the Torpedo Alley machine also!
5K for a nice one it seems!
I have played this before. It was incredibly hard to get anything on the vertical board.
Carlos Silva If the flippers are weak...you will never get it into that top left hole!
TNT Amusements Inc that must have been it. It felt impossible to aim and get into any loops
I played at 17 ages (1997). when I was young. remeber was. red,blue,green.yellow. hill 2 pad. top left stick. right hole can't save the ball. it's all pinball games to same. left kick back is on ramp available only save.
What is the name of the opening song?
TheiPhoneExpert605 It's the Banzai Run Pinball Machine Main music theme...you can find it on RUclips!
I have this machine. I played it at and arcade when I was 20. and I told my dad if he ever saw one let me know. he found the machine.
