Agreed I didn't know why they weren't getting it either. An example I can think of is that if a child was raised in an abusive household and continued that cycle with there kids, we dont excuse the parent we call them out. Sometimes Juniors and Freshman end dating irl, so I wouldn't expect others to share my feelings and opinions. The whole 13 and 16 age thing reminds me of a question at a high school event assembly. We had an organization come in explaining about s@xual abuse related to minors and other topics related to it. They also talked about the correct age for people to be when involving age gaps concerning high school ages when in a relationship. They gave everyone a piece of paper and pencil to ask anonymous questions. One i remember clearly was someone writing, "hello i have a friend who is dating someone in middle school, i dont feel comfortable with the relationship. How would i handle this?" I swear the air went so cold and you could hear a pin drop. The people tried being nice about it with giving advice and recommendinf that person who is in the relationship to drop contact with the middle schooler. This whole thing of a 3 year age gap and being young just really reminded me of this. Whenever you get into these communities, I have found that half of the art community is full of mentally deranged people who not only are guilty of some of the worst stuff imaginable, but also love to start rumors and drama about other people. Many of them refuse to get a job and complain that their art isn't paying the bills fast enough, while others will build a politically charged audience on Twitter and use it to attack and groom people. I have nothing to say about Synnibear that hasnt been said already, but Birdie I want to speak on. They seem to live their life via victim mentality. People with a victim mentality seek to be in the right and thrive off telling stories where they were the victim to gain sympathy. They will go through great lengths to do this, and many of the things they were victims of either didnt occur, are stretched to fit their narrative, or really didn't even matter to them at the time. I used to be like this so i can tell when i see it. Its disgusting. Birdie obviously puts themselves into these situations. I fully believe Jack allowed this situation with Synnibear to happen so they could capitalize off of it. I would normally never victim blame, and obviously Synnibear is still the main offender here, but we can't pretend Birdie is entirely innocent either. I mean come on. The way I would demonstrate the uncomfortable feeling I have for the 16 dating a 13 year old, is surrounding the "authenticity" of the "inciting incident" that started the relationship. A 18 dating a 15 year old is the lowest I would agree the age disparity is not important, due to the fact that the friendship groups for the final years of high school are not as restricted as the early years of high school, try to imagine 15-18 year old you hanging out with the 13 year olds or a 13 year old you playing with the 15 year olds it just feels yucky. The implication of someone dating in a lower age bracket is that they were unsuccessful at building a relationship with someone there own age and were desperate enough to make one with an immature and naïve child by guiding and manipulating them into it, which is adjacent to grooming. The only circumstance that I would understand a Romeo and Juliet clause for younger ages would be between family friends, the relationship is more authentic since they have spent a lot of time together and the family is able to step in if the relationship becomes unsustainable or one is trying to abuse the other.
The moral of this entire story is that anyone who dedicates their life to staying inside and making art instead of going outside and working a job is likely, in some way, insane

The whole 13 and 16 age thing reminds me of a question at a high school event assembly.
We had an organization come in explaining about s@xual abuse related to minors and other topics related to it. They also talked about the correct age for people to be when involving age gaps concerning high school ages when in a relationship.
They gave everyone a piece of paper and pencil to ask anonymous questions. One i remember clearly was someone writing, "hello i have a friend who is dating someone in middle school, i dont feel comfortable with the relationship. How would i handle this?"

Many of them refuse to get a job and complain that their art isn't paying the bills fast enough, while others will build a politically charged audience on Twitter and use it to attack and groom people.
I have nothing to say about Synnibear that hasnt been said already, but Birdie I want to speak on. They seem to live their life via victim mentality. People with a victim mentality seek to be in the right and thrive off telling stories where they were the victim to gain sympathy. They will go through great lengths to do this, and many of the things they were victims of either didnt occur, are stretched to fit their narrative, or really didn't even matter to them at the time. I used to be like this so i can tell when i see it. Its disgusting. Birdie obviously puts themselves into these situations. I fully believe Jack allowed this situation with Synnibear to happen so they could capitalize off of it. I would normally never victim blame, and obviously Synnibear is still the main offender here, but we can't pretend Birdie is entirely innocent either. I mean come on. The way I would demonstrate the uncomfortable feeling I have for the 16 dating a 13 year old, is surrounding the "authenticity" of the "inciting incident" that started the relationship. A 18 dating a 15 year old is the lowest I would agree the age disparity is not important, due to the fact that the friendship groups for the final years of high school are not as restricted as the early years of high school, try to imagine 15-18 year old you hanging out with the 13 year olds or a 13 year old you playing with the 15 year olds it just feels yucky. The implication of someone dating in a lower age bracket is that they were unsuccessful at building a relationship with someone there own age and were desperate enough to make one with an immature and naïve child by guiding and manipulating them into it, which is adjacent to grooming. The only circumstance that I would understand a Romeo and Juliet clause for younger ages would be between family friends, the relationship is more authentic since they have spent a lot of time together and the family is able to step in if the relationship becomes unsustainable or one is trying to abuse the other.
The moral of this entire story is that anyone who dedicates their life to staying inside and making art instead of going outside and working a job is likely, in some way, insane
