Greetings from Thailand. You two picked a great location. What a view. A couple of people doing what you’re doing have chosen beautiful houses, but terrible locations. Kudos to you. The land will be wonderful to walk on when you’re done. I’ve been carving a small farm out of the jungle here for the last four years, so I know how hard it is to clean your property, but just do a little at a time, and the rewards will be worth it.
You guys, the view just keeps getting better and better! The ALPS?!?!? That looks like a huge MURAL, not even real! Just unbelievable. And all that back-breaking work you're doing to clear your land...OMG, Butch and I did the same thing when we first moved here, so we totally get it. It's going to look AMAZING...we'd come help if we were closer, no S**T!!! And not to ignore all the new work on the house...fantastic! Best part: HEADLESS EDWARD!!! 😂 Once again: KUUUUUUUUUDOS!!!!!! 😊😍😊 (watch out for those cinghiali!)
@@OurItalianDreamHouse Eeek! I think I DO remember that cinghiale encounter from last year! 😳 Did I tell you about the HUGE one on the side of the road in Arezzo? It was EARLY, still dark...and we were driving down to Rome for our flight back to the US. Luckily, he stayed put. If he had stepped out into the road, it would have CREAMED our little Cinquecinto...and US!!! I could not believe how big that thing was; looked as big as a cow! You be careful...especially when they have the babies around in spring. 🙏 My words to you guys are always TRUE...you have done amazing things with your home. One day, we'll drive up to your area; maybe 5 hours or so? It would be a blast to meet you ALL! Hear that, Ernie?!?!? Hope you guys have the BEST holidays! 🎄💕🎄
@@carolynkennedy7772 Holy moly, that's scary. Ive seen cars after crashing with boars are they do not look great... You're so sweet, thank you again. And that sounds great. A very merry christmas to you all from me, edward and ernie
Nice to see you making a start on clearing your land as opposed to working on your house the whole time. And what a fantastic view of the Alps from your terrace. Derek in Ottawa.
the view of course - and the fact you took the time to show it on camera. Well, the headless man and the self-moving bush were also interesting 😂. Enough joking: good progress!
Amazing progress in the stable. Quick question: will Edward fit in the shower with it being raised with him being so tall? 😂 You guys certainly have your work cut out for you on the land but those phenomenal views are so worth it. Loved todays video x
We just discovered your channel! Wow you have already done so much work, it really looks great. You have a new follower, for us to get some inspiration in DIY 😀
Oh wow, thank you so much for such a sweet comment. Really happy to have you guys onboard! On our instagram (ouritaliandreamhouse) we update a bit more frequently than here and show a bit more details and design 🥰 Again, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I have been a silent subscriber of yours , watching your progress and then revisiting some of your videos too😃every time I see your house those windows make me so happy but in this video that view took my breath away. I live in a concrete jungle in India , to have that view is simply fantastic. Great going guys!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Aaw thank you so much 😍 and thank you for taking the time to comment. I cant wait to see what our cleared up view will look like in spring when it’s all green again.
Love the progress with the house and excited to see what the land looks like once you’ve cleared it! You guys work so hard and are doing such an amazing job. Cheers
No way I could pick just one favorite thing from that video - too many. Your teamwork is amazing. Thank you for explaining in detail the steps you took prior to pouring the concrete in the bathroom - very helpful. The doors look great! Ernie is an excellent foreman. Can't wait to get back and see that amazing view. Please keep this beautiful, informative content coming. Happy Holidays!
You guys are so adorable with each other. I just love watching you guys not just for the house just your interaction with each other. You guys crack me up!!😂 I wish I was free I would love to work on the land I love working and gardens and bushes and trees, etc. etc. anyway, I was thinking of something when I started watching you guys work you need one of those electric pruning shears they are wonderful they’re not very expensive. You can get battery operated one make sure you get two batteries and you’re gonna love these forever and ever.!!❤🎄🍾🌳
THANK YOU Christine. That’s so sweet of you! ❤️ oooh, I will def check those out. I Absolutely hate gardening so anything which can speed this up, Im in for it 😂
@@OurItalianDreamHouse if I'm not mistaken it's more dangerous when the young ones are with them. We have too many here in Sicily they're digging up the foundations of homes!! Doing a lot of damage. 🤞🤞🤞
So true. And you’re not supposed to run but wave your arms and make noise since they apparently have very bad eyesight 😂 unfortunately so do I so I first thought it was a big dog with a massive head 🙈
Oh my, your view of the Alps is fabulous! Youve made a good start on clearing your land! We have brambles that won't quit, you've inspired me to get to work on them again. Thanks for another interesting vlog, from Washington state, USA.
Hi Amanda thanks so much for stopping by and commenting, we hope you enjoy our videos! That's a really good idea, we will do that in new videos going forward. 😊
Hi i was watchingthe episode where you installed the heater in the lounge area i couldnt help but notice when you were in the attic you had some tiles to the left of you that you could see daylight through?, by now you may have fixed them??
I agree with you Penny. There's no bigger sceptic of the shower trays than me. Did you watch our episode on building the master bathroom with the tiled walk in shower? We absolutely love the look, but it was SUCH hard work to cut all the tiles the get the right slope so we'll see how much energy we have left when it comes to this shower, haha.
I don’t want to sound negative but that bathroom concrete floor is too thin. 3 centimeters wouldn’t meet building regulations in some countries. Sorry to say. Even with reinforcing.
The view of the Alps was breathtaking.
It is 😍🙏

Thanks Wendy! So are we 🥳❤️
I love your videos. Keep them coming. The clearing of the brush will be alot of work, but will look amazing when you are finished.!!!
Thank you so much Rod. haha oh my god, SO much work. I think I have a project for the next couple of months, haha.
Million dollar view baby…🤗. Love all you have done so far and always look forward to the next video. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you So much Kathy 😍😍 Merry christmas to you too! 🙏
Glad you could get a good start clearing the vines/brambles. You have great views!
Thank you Gloria! It was actually a lot more fun than expected 😅
Loved to se you doing some garden work and look forward to see the transformation. By the way your new entrance look wunderful ❤
Thank you! 😍 you will definitely get to see us doing plenty more garden work considering the amount we have left to do 😂
Merry Christmas everyone ❤
Thank you Sally! Merry Christmas to you too 😍
Favorite thing was definitely the safety gear for the chainsaw. Didn't know such things existed!
and such a sexy version, right?
In the eye of the beholder of course. I guess this version will be appreciated by the same clientele that prefer geeks to criminals etc.
HUNDRA PROCENT 😂
The landscape is stunning, but it looks cold lol.👍😂
SO cold. Piemonte is fantastic about 11 months a year. Mid nov-mid dec is very humid and cold 😂
Hi guys I did like the panoramic view from your house good luck on the project thank you for the good video 👍👋🍻
Grazie mille Beppe! And thanks for following our journey 😍🙏
I'll never grow tired of seeing Mon Viso! Today is stunning in the Langhe, but have you guys had lots of fog earlier this week?
Neither do we! It's foggy on and off 😊
Amazing progress in the stable. Quick question: will Edward fit in the shower with it being raised with him being so tall? 😂
You guys certainly have your work cut out for you on the land but those phenomenal views are so worth it. Loved todays video x
Thank you so much Andrea! Hahaha that’s a great observation - we actually had it measured and he does fit 😂🙈
Вы молодцы!!! мы тоже когда-то взялись расчищать запущенный участок и еще сильнее полюбили его, приложив много труда и получив хороший результат!!)))
Thank you! 😊
What an amazing view!!!
On a clear day, it really is second to none - it's a privilege to wake up to that view, we are so grateful for that 😁
Excellent video, the view is beautiful xx
Thank you So much Alison!
Great work on getting the rebar in place to introduce the cement. Laser works wonders.
Thank you so much! The laser is one of the best bits of kit we ever got. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
That view is amazing and then once the garden are is cleared out…even better. You two have so much energy I can’t wait to see what you do next.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment, stay tuned for lots more exciting videos in the coming months 😁

Lucky to have a wood (once you can get to it 😉)... free firewood is worth it's weight in gold!
That's true, especially with the current electricity and gas prices - should make heating the house much more affordable! 😅

Amazing view of the alps!! Be careful with the wild boar! 🐗😁
Hahaha, they are HUGE! Ernie and me actually met one on a walk last year. Luckily, it got as scared as we did so we ran off in different directions.

Haha I KNOW. We get amazed by it every day. It was such a surprise that it was hiding there behind all the trees 😅 thank you so much!
I luv the way you explain things! I learned a lot from your videos! Thanks for helping people who want to renovate their own house!
GRAZIE gerard ❤️❤️
Edward, the master of plaster! 🙌😍
Oh you know it! 👨🎨🤴
Continue the good job, guys. Cheerssss!
Grazie Ale! thanks for always supporting us 😁
Also I’d ensure that the shower floor is lower than the rest of the bathroom - backed up drains etc.
Good thinking! We'll keep that in mind 😊
If you cut your Hazel down but leave a stump, it will regrow and is a very good thing to do for the Hazel it's called coppiceing.
Thank you Jerry, that’s great advice. We left the stumps now so that’s awesome!
Suggestion: that you put your names on the intro and description. I’m new here!! (Sorry I haven’t caught your names yet……)

Hi i was watchingthe episode where you installed the heater in the lounge area i couldnt help but notice when you were in the attic you had some tiles to the left of you that you could see daylight through?, by now you may have fixed them??
Hi Judith. haha yes we had our muratores go through all the roof tiles to make sure they were in the correct place.
I'm just wondering if your not doing anything in particular just yet you could lease it to some local farmers??? Up to you
Hi Judith! Yes we've been considering leasing the two lots which are not connected to the property.
Loved the 'erm' after your sexy comment.😂❤
Hahaha. 😂
Don’t use a premade shower tray - they may be easier but harder to clean and don’t look so good.
I agree with you Penny. There's no bigger sceptic of the shower trays than me. Did you watch our episode on building the master bathroom with the tiled walk in shower? Yes, a beautiful shower!@@OurItalianDreamHouse
Thank you! Im just trying to convince Edward to make them or the other bathrooms now 😅
Good you are using wire mesh in the step though.
Yeah it turned out to be a good idea :) 👍
I don’t want to sound negative but that bathroom concrete floor is too thin. 3 centimeters wouldn’t meet building regulations in some countries. Sorry to say. Even with reinforcing.
It actually ended up being around 7cm which should be within Italian building regs. Our muratores had left that specific height.
@@OurItalianDreamHouse yeah 7cm should be fine.
🥳👍
