Also, I have a large veggie garden that is totally organic. I dehydrate veggies and we help feed eleven disabled people. Would love to send you some of the dehydrated veggies for soups and such this winter, no cost, just to share the bounty. How cool is it to go foraging on your land for food, cook it and eat it?!! That jam looks really good. Bid for art!!! What an awesome idea Mick. Have a great week.
When I made elder sirup last year I also didn't add as much sugar as it said on the recipe. Thing is the sirup went bad after a few months (don't know if mold or bacteria) and I learned afterwards, that adding more sugar would have greatly increased preservation time... So I hope your jam stays fresh for long or you don't plan on storing it for long! Wish you happy times!

I love strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries. I made a wildberry fruit spread a few years ago. it was my first time making it and it came out delicious. I enjoyed the video.
I hear ya about foraging. I grew up with a forest behind my house. We foraged a lot. We had tons of huckleberries. They were tiny for the most part but just such a refreshing snack on their own. Put them in pancakes and they just made such a great treat. We had walnuts and hazelnuts and cherries and blueberries and wild herbs like lambs quarters that were so wonderful. I wish my gramma had lived longer so she could have taught me which wild mushrooms were safe cuz she def knew snd nothing better than simple polenta smothered in sautéed wild mushrooms and garlic and a dab of olive oil to moisten it and make it a filling meal. Polenta or grits is such a versatile food too. Thanks for sharing your literally toiling for your food.
