The client envisioned a comprehensive metamorphosis of a mid-century modern abode located on the illustrious Bird Streets of the Hollywood Hills. This new proprietor craved a daring and personally gratifying domicile, tailored for opulent Hollywood-style soirées, while also ensuring superb resale value, given his plan to divest within two years. He sought a dwelling that accentuated the breathtaking panoramas, blending a sleek modern aesthetic with a creative and dynamic interplay of textures, hues, and materials. The challenge lay in crafting indoor and outdoor living spaces that maintained unobstructed vistas of the horizon and sky. Our objective was to honor the essence of a mid-century classic while revitalizing the structure with our contemporary applications of color, wood, light, and water. The goal was serene elegance and practicality, interwoven with 21st-century whimsy, as evidenced by the selection of sculptural art. Water features are seamlessly integrated into the design, from the infinity pool and reflecting ponds to the wet-edge waterfall along the path to the theater. The sole additions outside the original footprint are the Master Bedroom, which hovers at the property's precipice, and the home theater nestled beneath, sharing a wall and windows with the pool.
