I'm an brazilian Arsenal fan, but it's disrespectful how certain commentators criticize Casemiro's story as a player going beyond the limits of the game. It's worth remembering that he's not a defender, he's a midfielder, while several terrible United players are hiding.

Got rejected, then tried to start a rebel and chaos when he was taken off in a FRIENDLY. Said oublically that he doesn't respect the coach. Do you expect Ten Hag to act like nothing happened. Sancho was given a lot of chances. He played a lot under Ten Hag last season. He lost a close person, then Ten Hag sent him to the Netherlands so that his mental state recovers for 3 months. Came back, arrived late for training and was lazy. When Ten Hag explained to the Journalists why he took him out he publically called his coach a liar. Ten Hag wasn't the reason for De Gea's departure. It was more about United's management not wanting to continue further with him. And if you really had any football kniwledge instead of fanboying, you would have known why Casemeiro was played there. Because Lindelof, Maguire, Varane, Lisandro, Kambwala and Shaw are injured. We only had Evans for a CB and we had no other option but to put Casemeiro as a CB.

If there was actually some cohesion in the team, a style of play, organization… something to show me that they’re actually being coached to play as a team it wouldn’t be too bad but when I watch them play it just looks like everyone is lost… then after watching them and hearing the manager speak after the game saying the stuff he comes out with… I can see why they play the way they do because his responses are bewildering
What Ten Hag says in the press conference is not for us, it's him trying to appeal to the upper management to save his job, by saying he saw things he liked etc. Because after this, he's not getting hired at any top club ever again. Bayern was exploring the possibility, but they quickly withdrew their interest after that crystal palace loss.
But then again, the press conference is considered sacred, it's for the manager to tell the fans what's going on behind the scenes. To use that opportunity for his personal benefit is like hitting the fans across the face.

Why are these “pundits” downplaying United’s injuries so much? In all seriousness, Shaw, Malacia, Martínez, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof, Bruno, Mount, Rashford, Martial are just the tip of the iceberg. That’s exactly the point. Which you appear to be missing big time. Their best side by far is Onana, Shaw, Martínez, Varane, Dalot, Casemiro, Mainoo, Bruno, Garnacho, Rashford, and Hojlund. That side has barely played together this season. And the likes of Maguire, Lindelof, Evans, McTominay, Wan Bissaka, Eriksen, etc are massive drop offs in quality. All those players are bottom of the table quality players.

It’s not that complicated. Evans was supposed to be what Scott Carson is to City. A homegrown player who was never supposed to see a single minute of action this season and be a practice body. He was literally the 6th choice CB behind Varane, Martínez, Maguire, Lindelof, and Shaw on the depth chart. The fact he has played so much this season tells you everything you need to know about how messed up United’s back line has been.

If City win the league again (which most likely they will), this would pose a unique challenge to Arsenal next year. As amazing as it is to get 89 points, it's very demoralizing to not win even with 89 points. I have heard about how Man City and Man U have had injuries. Let’s not forget that Real Madrid lost three quarters of their central defence for most of the season. They lost Courtois for the whole season and Vini/Bellingham for stretches of the season.

Yes the sudden dramatic lost of pace caused that not the individual Quality which oddly was not in evidence last season when he scored many important goals for United to win title and UCL qualification.
So it now seems very clear what problems Ten Hag has to face regarding his midfield this season as there isn't a World Class player left to lead.
There is no excuse for Ten Hag with his odd decisions but the Main Problem to be fixed first at United is Club Administration and Players Work Culture.
I don't understand the complaint with injuries, teams like a certain Madrid have the same injuries problems....Mendy , militao, courtois, alaba, Bellingham (time to time), and there in the finals..... ten hag is a coach that has been employed to solve or prevent these injuries adjust player game time, get good signings and depth in the squad....
